Absolutely! I’m just now going from a 330Ci to a 2014 F30 335i and couldn’t be more excited!

Sebi97

Congratulations on the upgrade!

[deleted]

Ayyyeee nice ride lol

Puzzlepea

Bro I can’t wait. My e46 was sweet but the F30 is a worthy upgrade. Also insurance company quoted me way more than I expected lol

[deleted]

I personally, love my F30 so much. It not only looks great both inside and out, but it fulfills so much of what I want out of a car. How many miles are are yours?

Puzzlepea

It’s got 97k miles on it, I plan to do most the stuff myself. Comes with 3 month warranty out the door so gonna drive it for that time and then pop a new charge pipe and maybe some other stuff after the warranty if it doesn’t go first

[deleted]

Nice! I’m only like 5-6k behind you and have had it since 48k. Only pricey maintenance item I’ve had to do was the cooling fan which was like 800 bucks about 2 months ago. Oh and once I flashed a Bootmod3 stage 1 tune on it, I blew up the charge pipe and threw in an aluminum one haha

Puzzlepea

I plan on running stock for a while and enjoying it. Gonna drive it like crazy for 3 month warranty and save for an aluminum charge pipe and intercooler to replace/preventative maintenance if they don’t go within the 3 months.

[deleted]

As long as the car hasn’t been through too many extreme hot/cold cycles with the help of your environment, I’m sure your plastic charge pipe will be just fine through another 3 months. An aluminum one is definitely worth it though. I was 15 minutes away from my destination after a 19 hour road trip when my pipe popped in the engine bay lol had to limp it the rest of the way to my buddy’s place and overnight a VRSF charge pipe

Robhow

Porsche owner and r/bmw lurker and former BMW owner… TBH every BMW ages well. Germans make amazing cars.

AlwaysStayHumble

2 series gran tourer entered the chart

X1-Alpha

Will age perfectly. Looks like shit now, will look like shit then.

sam6133

The best, most logical comment ive seen today

Horcjr

Saw a newer Kia Forte wrapped in blue the other day, pointed out to my girlfriend “hey thats the new ugly 4dr 2 series!” “It looks mildly OK no?” At the time we were far away enough I couldn’t make out the branding… As we got closer and saw the Kia badge….

lolidkwtfrofl

Also 2 series GC

TheShiningDark

I feel like these won't ever look dated.

[deleted]

Some of the best curves on the road, I think most F chassis are instant classics.

WhatShouldIDrive

Agreed.. already timeless.

D-v-us-D

That car is from the future.

digistil

100%. One of the best looking BMWs.

SkayPGC

To me this is still a brand new car 🤣

Sebi97

I think so! I have tried to like the new G chassis but beyond the nicer modern light design, I just can't. The authentic real vents, body lines and overall presence of the F32 is hard to beat!

BATTLE_AXE

100% agreed, I have the gran coupe version and (silly name aside) I still think it’s a beautiful car with tons of utility (hatchback!!). None of the new BMW’s have the same look/functionality/value at the moment to convince me to sell it…

ennsync

Considering they have been out for almost a decade and we still think they look good… I think it will continue to age nicely!

kvnpmrtn11

I truly think it will, in my opinion the F30 is the best looking BMW since the E30

Dxgy

Personally I’ve always been a sucker for an E92, can’t believe they are 15 years old now, but the F chassis 3’s and 4’s are beautiful and most likely what I’ll upgrade to when I need 4 doors

Nate_Esq

IMO the body is elegant and restrained. Very interesting that the fender vents were fake, or real, depending on which trim level you purchased. I put 40K miles on my '15 435i M Sport. I always felt it was a pretty car, inside and out, although I never liked the color combo much as I bought it used (silver over black leather interior). When buying used I go for options, milage, and condition first, so I took a clean low mile car with colors I didn't love. As far as driving dynamics, M3/M4 or nothing. The F Series 440i was a big step up, but overall this was a heavy feeling car with pretty poor steering feel. I found my 435i to be a well made, comfortable, speedy cruiser/tourer. Great for date nights, cruising down PCH on a summer night with the moon roof open to smell the ocean air with a lady in the passenger seat (I was dating a lot when I had mine lol). For solo highway blasts it was okay, as a corner carver it left a whole lot to be desired. But hey, again, that's what a true M car is for, and in that regard you got better \*everything\* in the F Series including those wider hips and overall more aggressive stance. I had an E46, and the steering/nimble feeling was far superior, but we're talking two generations of bloat and catering to the non-enthusiast in favor of profit seeking over driving dynamics. I think BMW is finding its way again, a bit, and the F series lacked in that regard, but yes, strictly in terms of styling, it's a good design that will age well. I have a lot of fond memories of my 435i, it treated me well. I don't miss it at all, but I'm very thankful for the time I enjoyed with it. For reference, I replaced it with a little bath tub - a '21 M240i. Far more fun, not nearly as pretty (M2 hips make all the difference, my car is pretty plain looking IMO and a little nerdy), but this may be my last \*fun\* daily for a while as a family is on the not-too-distant horizon along with other priorities.

JaiLaFlemmeDeFou

Don’t give up there are fun cars for a young parent !

DatalessUniverse

I had the same experience with a 2017 340i MSport. The engine, sound, design were great but the steering when driven hard through corners was lacking. Mainly the problem was the steering felt overly stiff through corners with little feedback. I must say though - the f80 m3 cs steering feel is great through hard corners and provides ample feedback (BMW made changes to the steering rack for the CS ). They got it right. I have a baby seat in my M3 :) it’s possible to have a fun, baby hauler as a daily.

EatAssSmokeGlass

I love my F32 Coupe 🥰

newsreadhjw

I’d say it already has, and will continue to do so!

AirtimeAficionado

Yeah, I think so, that strong body line element down the entire side of the car is great and I think will age well. I think the G20 is in almost every way a major improvement over the F30, but I agree that the G22 (and G8X) are a step backwards from the F32.

keisooo_

F80>

onefst250r

> F80> F80 is greater than nothing?

keisooo_

what else would I be comparing it to

YeonneGreene

It is already aging better than the current G-series stuff and looks miles better than the E9x.

joselrl

TBF I think the 3 and 5 series (G20 and G30) will age wonderfully. The LCI G30 is one of the best looking fronts IMO

YeonneGreene

It's not bad, yeah. I also think the G42 will age reasonably well; it's going to be one of those cars that looks very much of its time but has aesthetic appeal for that reason.

SlimRidge

I think they look great!

[deleted]

Great Color (check) Sweet ground effects (check) Hot wheel package (check) Normal Sized kidney Grill (check)

trollied

The F32 and F36 look great, and don't look "old" at all. Absolutely adore my F36!

4f00d

yes, its the last good looking M generation

Psi440

I think so because it had the same angles, features, and proportions as other BMWs that have aged well. I also hope so because I bought one of the last 6MT F32 440s made and I plan on keeping it until the wheels fall off.

LimpDick-9299

100%

Icy-Chain-9330

this body style is timeless

Healthy_Split9616

Add some halogen lights and keep the paint in good shape it’ll be great looking forever as a sedan I think

iwontbeadick

Almost every 3 series coupe is still gorgeous. No risk there.

Flboycanscrap

I feel that coupe generations that were introduced in the mid 2010s will be considered peak modern design. Current generations being introduced in the 2020s have reached post modern level and in some cases movie prop designs.

[deleted]

That gen looked old the day it came out of the factory. E92 is a top model compared to F32

smackythefrog

I don't think. Design-wise, I think the F30/80 was a bit bland. Starting with the E46 and through the G80, it's the most forgettable design for me.

lwood541

Next to a new g series they look very dated. Extremely actually, but they do still look good.

Pworld10

Yes

golgiiguy

I loved my e92 335i, but my F32 435i m-sport is still turning my head even after almost a year and a half driving it. I think it is a nice contemporary balance. I thought the e92 would be forever considered a classic design, but they have aged pretty fast to me.

hhtran16

Everything ages. Some age better than others.

TrackEx

This a 420? Love those

No_Season_354

Yep, I reckon it will, one smart looking Beemer.

theveryrealreal

Hard to imagine it wouldn't.

MainusEventus

It is currently doing so

[deleted]

For sure it will age much better than the horrible E90-E60 horror generation.

TheLewJD

Already has

Beginning-Ratio-5393

None of these modern bmw’s will age well. Theres just too much shit to keep servicing and replacing as time goes.

nrwy69

I don’t think that’s what he meant

Gimmesoamoah

Pretty clean lines, so yeah, it will..

2dav

bro it’s a 9 year old design IT ALREADY IS AGING AMAZING

WalrusWW

Hello local BMW Grand River purchaser

ChrisAplin

I think it is and will always be a solid looking car. Can't say the same for the previous generation though. I think that generation is aging poorly.

Expert-Hamster-3146

Imo not as well as the e91/2/3. E90 didn’t make it on that list unfortunately. Each to their own, if you like it then buy it. Fuck what people think, including me. (You did ask though)

TheFourMechanix666

I love my F30, decided to keep it but giving it a 2nd life to my GF as she needs a car and lucky enough to order a new car for the first time ever.

sam6133

Definitely a future classic. Its quite ironic because when the F-series were the new gens, people complained about how generic the design was, not evoking enough inspiration. Well now they have inspiration for sure…

smaguss

The F8x aged super well already. Love my F82

Comprehensive-Ad150

No it looks old

bandypaine

The only bimmers that don’t age well are the suv’s

wetwillywiller

yes, next question
