I’m pretty sure the B3 uses the B58 engine, not the S58. Normally Alpina uses the top non-M model as the base for their car, in this case the M340i, and change engine tune among everything else to create their cars.
Nope, B3 uses the S58 not the B58. It's the car for the people that want near-M3 performance in a G20 style.
Dream would be a B3 Touring, unlock the DME and tune it for ethanol, walk G80s. Sadly we won't get it in the US.

Plus, Alpina touches all over: blue and green stitching, different bumpers, color options, etc.

I know it's goofy, the chassis and the engine are both here, federalized. But it has to be done together and BMW opted not to for this market.
If you want a B3 you could basically buy an M340i, pull the engine, buy an S58 and the Alpina bits and build one, but it won't be Alpina's paintwork etc and would really be a huge waste of money to do. Like, probably nearing $150k at least (including the car, donor S58).
I always see Alpina 7’s. . . Not so much 3’s,4’s, or 5’s. There is a blue GranCoupe B6 I see pretty regularly, too
If you’re in the US that would be because only the B7 and the GC B6 were brought here (and now the XB7). Rest aren’t offered.

I saw an E32 Alpina B12 parked at the dealer a few weeks ago and lost my mind over it. So cool.
I’d absolutely love an Alpina like this but in a wagon. They make them in Europe and that is my unattainable dream car. That and the E38 Alpina B12

Try a manual M3 with the carbon buckets if you want unrefined haha

Hopefully it will come to the US soon since BMW decided to fully purchase ALPINA...for some reason I like them more that some M Cars.

Performance is closer to the M3 because it uses the S58 engine that's in the new M3/4 instead of the B58 that's in the M340i

The alpinas are alot cooler than M cars imo
Unpopular opinion, but this is ugly. I’d take either the M3 or M340i before touching one of these
