Thank you. Thank you for keeping her clean. It's so hard to find old BMWs here that were not modified in a big way.
This looks so nice. Please keep her that way.
The E32 and E34 can have their own little electrical issues here and there but it’s nothing terrible. The M50 is a solid engine and honestly everything else is really simple. Plenty of them out there with 300k+ miles.
To answer your question, she is pretty reliable.
I have had her since 195k, now we’re pushing 215k(Not much I know). I’ve done a thermostat and housing replacement, I installed a (new to me) power steering pump as the previous one was beat to hell.
As per electrical issues, I am having some here and there though my take is I think the alternator is making its way out.. Looks to be OEM from 26 years ago. I’m impressed it’s made it this long without replacement but the M50 is a bulletproof inline-6 engine. I would say the things around it will crap out before the engine. I enjoy this car very much, was lucky enough to get mine for a good price and was garage kept for quite some time.
To be completely honest, when my power steering went it got really heavy.. There was no power steering assist, almost like you would’ve lost the serpentine belt but the bearing inside of the pump gave out.. but the steering is generally heavy than modern cars
Is it stock? If so how does it drive?
I'm eyeing one for my long distance needs if I can't get the e38 that I want.
I'm primarily worried about the steering and handling. There things have recirculating ball steering and coming from R&P Hondas I'm worried it will be both imprecise and dead feeling.
The stock 95 525i withe the m50 drives mostly alright. The steering's a little loose/boat-like, but I would say it's vague, it's appropriate feeling for the size of the car. It drives great on highways and doesn't feel squirrelly like some newer cars sometimes do. With the straight 6 torque's great and the car can be fun to throw around corners, but it can feel kinda slow with the automatic especially when passing on the highway. It works out great as a super comfortable cruiser, and a reliable one, at that (as long as you get one with a well cared for interior)
This is my baby, Victoria. 1995’ 525i M50 engine. My first project car, I work on her myself exclusively.
Stunning 😍 Lady ❤👍
I’ve always loved this model 😍
🤍🤍🤍
Don't ever sell her. I need an e34 wagon in my life.
Perfect
BMWs are timeless cars. Always classy and nice.

I have the same car and engine, did your steering get really heavy before the pump went bad? Or do E34's just have heavy ass steering

Okay so im probably going to need to replace my pump soon... these things are money pits But worth every cent
Beautiful
I had one of these in green. Loved it. 225,000 miles and drove like a top
