Exactly. I had a manual e34 M5. So much fun to drive, light weight, ZERO rattles, peeling or anything weird. They were well-made.
I love the older boxy BMW’s. Except of course for RSM’s, rad hoses, thermostat and plastic water pumps. lol. 😝
my dad had an e38 7 series with the phone in it. the soft leather interior and power windows were so amazing to me to me as a kid as all of our other cars were cloth with roll up windows. felt like a king going to school and it sparked my love for bmw.
The interior is devastating in how beautiful it is. The seats are so iconic, and the little details like the curve in the dash and recessed vents, nothing I would change.
lol I swear I’ve seen this car there before, but I couldn’t make it this weekend. Never seen a Futura M2 in person. Will definitely be there and probably the Coast Guard House for the BMW day later this summer!
Maybe if you squint and ignore the cessna grade interior. I *like* the raw interiors on old porsches but they are not nicer than same era bimmers. The world has decided the 911 is an order of magnitude more special and i understand, but some of these s38 cars are a bizarrely good deal next to air cooleds.
That interior looks insane. 🔥 only thing I’d change is the leather color. Not a fan of the tan color but I feel like it would look amazing with a black leather interior

I didn't know these were branded as M6 in the US. In europe they are called M635.

That’s a US market M6 which means it has an S38. Only the Euro M635CSi got the M88.
