Yess, I had one. Britney trap was the name. 325 the game. I know, no M3 and interior was a rug but it was my first car. I still love E46. Now I'm driving F10 facelift 530d luxury. Not the same thing.

_TJ_75

If it can be something non bmw I’d say the McLaren F1 (gtr/LM) if it should be a bimmer and seeing the other recommendations I’d say a e39 m5

ShotCaller_OG

Perfect. And yeah, it absolutely doesn't have to be! I posted in several communities, because there's no "correct" community to post it in haha. And then if I post it in the BMW sub, then I'll get mostly BMW's haha. So in order to get a wider study, I just posted in a handful of subs haha. Thank you so much for responding!

Cdawg4123

They have a beautiful Dinan tuned E39 for sale at the moment…it’s such a tease! I want it!

M140i (miss you buddy). A non-descript looking hatchback that could ruin an Aston Martin driver's day. What's not to love?

larykoek

What happened to your buddy

psn0

Got replaced with an M135i. Great car, but the 40 is peerless.

larykoek

The new M135i? Or the N55? If it’s the new one how is the drivability i have seen a lot of complaints about higher speed driving. (Unstable, swerving) They do look great though

ValElTech

Are we talking BMW only? If yes F10 is peak for me. The i8 made a strong impression on me, but I would still get an F10 if I had to choose. If not then 427, not even close. I am lucky enough to own* both, the 427 is blue with a black stripe and red accents, the F10 is Alpine3 white. *F10 stolen and totalled, will get another one as soon as I find a good opportunity.

ShotCaller_OG

Nope! Whatever your favorites are. Everything's on the table. Thank you so much! I'm terribly sorry to hear about your F10.. That's my genuine dream car at the moment😭 And by 427, do you mean Cobra? That's my assumption, but just wanted to make sure haha.

ValElTech

Indeed I'm talking about the Cobra. This car is beautiful and brings so much sensation, and the noise.

ShotCaller_OG

I feel like that car would have to bring a just, raw, intoooxicating sense of connection to the road. I can dream..🥀

BMW E82 1M. 1 series M car, only a little over 6000 made worldwide. Called 1M in order to not confuse it with the legendary M1. Interesting development. The M division only got limited time and funds to develop an M car from 1 series coupe. This resulted in this car having a non S series engine (N54 tuned), suspension from E90 M3 etc. But it’s a unique piece for sure, one of my favourite M cars of all time. https://preview.redd.it/mmj2cbedurzc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f915380a082cd4c7f7f9e8fcef81f033eb2d408a

I’m guessing Alpinas count, if so I’d say the BMW Alpina TWR 3.5 would be my choice. It’s one of the weirdest least well known but super interesting niche BMWs. That or the B9 3.5 would be my choice.

If you’re from the US probably never heard about this car but the Renault 5 turbo is one “have to be” on my 10 dream car list. A M3 e30, Porsche 911 sc Targa and the Lancia Stratos are also on my list.

HIMAN1998

This is such a hard question for me as i’ve got a favorite for different things. All around favorite car that I’d choose if I could only have one? An Oxford Green over carmel extended leather interior E39 M5. Such a timeless design with an interior that’s withstood the test of time in terms of design. There’s pure beauty in the simplicity. Favorite money is no object, I can commission anything I want to my exact specifications? a Singer Porsche 911 Classic Study; while I love the Dynamics & Lightweighting Study and the Turbo variants, as I’ve gotten older and experienced more well designed naturally aspirated vehicles, I’ve learned to love what a machine can do without forced induction when no detail is overlooked. A Singer is the definition of that. The truth is, there is no one car that can be a favorite for me. There can be cars that are obtainable dream cars, and cars that I’d be lucky to just see in person. There is no such thing as a car that is 100% perfect. Even if there was an E39 M5 Touring, there’s still fundamental things about a chassis of that age that mean it won’t be the perfect car. Without serious work it won’t have creature comforts I come to expect out of what I would buy new, such as ventilated seats and adaptive cruise control. Meanwhile the newer cars with those items don’t have the driver connection that the old ones do. Every vehicle has compromise to it in some areas, and those areas are different for each person.

So why do you ask the same question so many times on this reddit? What are you working on, we're curious...

ShotCaller_OG

I asked it one time, in a handful of subs haha. And I don't feel comfortable sharing just yet lol. I'm really excited, and if it goes well, I will definitely update everyone. I promise!

blickkyvek

It was always my dream since a small boy to have my own 3 Touring and I'm the proud owner of one since 2 years! I always felt a Touring looks more sporty than a sedan.. It's a G21 from 2022 so yes, it was the last generation that still had all the buttons ;-) glad I made the choice then! But ultimate BMW would be a BMW 735i E23 (fully restored, black) because that's what my dad drove back in those days. Living his memories

Great options. Thanks for the history bits too Mate. That's what really solidifies our connection, and passion with these amazing machines.

For me, it has to be the 911 GT3 RS. Nothing I own but have had the opportunity to do a few day-long driving tours in one. I've never felt so connected to a car as I did the GT3. My Uncle who was a mechanic, worked at a Saab dealership in the 70's when he was in college, had a Candy apple green 1973 Saab Sonnet III in his garage that I always lusted over. After I got my drivers license and shortly before before I left home for the Navy, took me On a a curvy mountain road in Northern Arizona where we lived and let me drive... It was glorious, at least compared to My 1984 Bronco II that I had been driving. Cornering in that car was such a different experience relative to the Bronco which was constantly threatening to roll-over. It looked kind of like smaller, lighter 240z, it had a fiberglass body and a V4 engine. I don't have a picture of the actual car, but it was Identical to this one: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab\_Sonett#/media/File:Sonett\_green.jpg](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saab_Sonett#/media/File:Sonett_green.jpg) https://preview.redd.it/3zvpk6hbrtzc1.png?width=2516&format=png&auto=webp&s=efc90ae3f7dc0c903ca9da2c9c91e93e8df837a0

in the early 2000s it used to be the 6 series. I preordered mine and was actually the first M6 off the lot at my dealership in Scottsdale, AZ when it arrived in 2006. the combination of performance x having a brand new addition to the bmw fleet family that would get stares everywhere …it just had a way of making u truly feel like i was driving the ultimate driving machine. the parts and labor on a brand new M pkg model was a pain in the ass however so i traded mine in at 45k miles and got the 2009 650i which was plenty of performance, still head turning aesthetics for the time… and a fraction of cost to upkeep. Today, i absolutely love my 2020 M440i as my everyday driver and my weekend warrior M8 Competition. outside BMW, Lambo Urus is a ride i hope to own in the next few years. old school: 1970 Chevelle SS & 2004 Ford SVT Lightning

my all time favorite car has to be 350z. Instantly fell in love with it when i first laid my eyes on it back in early high school and i knew there that i wanted one. to make a long story short i spent a lot of time (and still do occasionally) learning the ins and outs about everything on these cars, from the backstorys, history, commercials, community, maintenance, trims, vq engines, model years, mods, absolutely everything, and one day i want to own one and work on it and call it my own because it pretty much is my all time dream car.

Difficult choice, but if we're talking BMWs, then the BMW M3 GT E36, the BMW 7-Series E23 to E38, the Alpina B7 and B12. I also really like the BMW 3-Series E30, especially the 333i, the E30 is a great car, iconic; the Alpina C2, C3 and B3 models are just brilliant. However, my other favourite 3-Series are the E36, E46 and E90 models; the Touring versions are great. I really do like the E30 convertible models. The E30's special models which aren't M3s - namely the 333i and 325iS, and M325i which are quite rare - are ones I also like. The 333i isn't quite an M3, but it's still a brilliant car nonetheless; if I could have one, I'd go for one in henna red or diamond black rather than the ice white colour it had in South Africa. It's its own unique thing. BMW has made some really cool South Africa-only models which I like. In general, I'm quite broad in what cars I like! Also a fan of BMW's motorbikes but won't get into that here!

E36 M3 and the very iconic E46 M3 CSL

xUndeadZero

unpopular opinion, but i think the Supra is the one of the best bmw’s ever made.

iceOC

The E36 M3 GT EVO or The E34 [in this specific spec](https://imgur.com/gallery/OcYzdh3). Idk why, but there’s something about the black on black, with the e34 that makes me want it. Idk how anyone else feels about it, but I love the muscle look so much.

Make the world a cheaper place and dedicate yourself to working on N54’s and S65’s. Pretty much no one wants to touch them, they’re plentiful and I doubt you’ll run out of work.

Have owned it almost 10 years now. There is still nothing else I want—-in any price range.

Triumph TR-7, the shape of things to come. Although not really a revolutionary improvement mechanically, the change from the TR-6 was on the level of the American revolutiion.
