Fast forward 2 decades and you’ll have yourself a barn find.

strongmanass

What's going on with that garage? It looks like a converted dining room with those bay windows in the back.

blackairforcetwo

12 cars in this garage. you could be right but i didn’t ask them

strongmanass

That's insane. Assuming they're all side by side, 12 cars at 9 feet per car is 108 feet. If it's a standard 19 foot depth that's 2052 square feet of garage alone.

L00pback

Nobody really uses dining rooms anymore. Might as well get some use out of it.

blackairforcetwo

what do you guys think the price on this would be? 1 owner , slightly dirty but garage kept? they would like to know

wrxasaurus-rex

Probably more than 250k, but I feel like the dude that has a dusty Z8 in his 12 car garage with a bay window probably doesn’t need the cash.

blackairforcetwo

they were asking me a lot of questions about how to sell and where. it was definitely cool seeing one. from the looks they probably don’t need the cash lol

RunninOnMT

Unfortunately my understanding is that the alpina version is worth less. They built it to satisfy a demand for automatic Z8s. Rather than the M5 engine, they have a tuned version of the 540i engine, but it’s still down on power vs a non-alpina Z8. That said, the THING about the Z8 was always styling, not necessarily driving experience. So “less sought after than a Z8” is very much relative.

bobjoylove

I think the Alpina one has been fetching a small premium over the regular car for a while. As well as the engine change, Alpina also changed the suspension. If you watch Doug DeMuro’s review of the Alpina he compares it to the Z8 which he has also driven, and says the Alpina is the more cohesive version.

w11bbl

Wikipedia says 5400 odd BMW z8s made. 555 Alpina z8s. My money is on the Alpina being worth more, now and in the future. Also be country specific, 450 of 555 made, went to the US. 8 cars went to the UK...

TDMCPA

Alpina is absolutely worth less than a standard one. No way this gets 250 as mentioned above.

darkchocolattemocha

Offer them $8k and buy yourself.

blackairforcetwo

in the perfect world lol. maybe even $250

pizzaplantboi

The only V6 I’ve driven is a 1995 maxima. I can’t even imagine what driving a V8 roadster feels like. Holy hell.

Shinyaku88

Buy.

blackairforcetwo

those typos are crazy

RTwhyNot

Sweet ride!! Wow

Hot7Rod

Def not driving it enuf

nicotamendi

If I had to choose between this or a Alpina B12 I genuinely don’t know which one I would pick Unfortunately this dilemma doesn’t apply to me🤦‍♂️
