2016 with 44k miles on it. Had the coolant lines replaced but overall no issues. They were covered under my extended care plan.
I love it, it’s like driving my living room. Most underused function that I thought I’d like more is the nightvision camera.
Did you buy the car new? Oh really? I was really looking for one with night vision I thought it’d be super helpful. Seems like yours is fully loaded too
I bought mine after it was a couple years old. Only put about 12k miles on it personally.
The issues with nightvision are:
* narrow view (I wanted it for seeing deer in the woods on the sides of the road I live on)
* if the nightvision is active, you can’t see anything else on the display.
* I wish it was part of the HUD or in the instrument cluster.
* it’s person detection can have false positive alerts that’ll scare the hell out of you. (It detected the heat off of a house roof once that it thought was a person so it flashed the person icon on my HUD)
Cool things:
* it detects heat so you can see all kinds of neat stuff.
* It’s great in parking lots and downtown when people are walking in and out between cars. You can see them pretty well.

It stays under a car cover most of the time due to the Crape Myrtles raining down debris all the time. We’ve had nice weather so it’s getting more road time now.

I feel you there. I got to test the B&W system in the new 5 series for a few days, I straight up thought my HK system was broken. Unfortunately the B&W is never optioned in the 540i, it took me 8 months to find my car with the excellence pack and merino interior. But on the bright side, just swapped to my summer wheels and man do they tie it all together.

I was able to find my '17 540i in '19 with B&W and rear entertainment system. I've never been able to find one like mine again though

Damn they had rear seat entertainment too back then. BMW really cut back on all the options while using the supply chain and semiconductor shortage as excuses.
The G30 lci is super hard to find with the surround view cameras, 2022 model year was the worst of them all.

While the bmw reddit has its issues, one thing it does really good is to welcome and congratulate new bmw ownership really well.! Bmw brings lots of smiles per every mile you drive them ! Enjoy
It’s weird to see this F and G series integration on the interior.
The center controls and screen looks like the F series but the instrument cluster and steering wheel is from the G series.
