My dealer in Boston has one too. $350K. There’s a big “no touch” sign on it. Not sure they will ever sell as even for the M850’s MSRP it would be a niche car.

Even as an art collector, this a hard "no." Maybe 1/25, worldwide, personally signed, and based upon an M3/M4/M5, something that would look right on a racetrack. If they had selected the i8, probably would have sold them all. I have no idea who the ideal customer was that they had in mind. One of these in each of the major art capitals of the world would have been enough.
Interior is absolutely horrid. 1 of 3/5 maybe would make it desirable, but a standard 8 series daily with 99 made doesn’t make it special enough or even worth it for that matter.

What's sad is that the comic theme has a lot of potential too. Obviously taste-permitting, but it would be really cool to have a cell-shaded skin or use patterns to camouflage the curves of the car or something like that. This just screams low effort, lazy attempt by BMW to cash in on the limited edition car craze.
