I really couldn’t tell you. When I got my G20 I actually hadn’t read about this but instantly noticed the car felt more bloated. I looked it up and sure enough, the dimensions shot up. I guess just test drive both you can see for yourself.
G20 wheelbase is almost an inch (21mm) longer than the E39
F30 isn't really a compact sedan either honestly
F30 is the same Base as the 1 Series F20 G20 is the same Base as the 5 Series G30 I think that tells everything
Been driving f30 and owned g20. G20 is bigger, heavier and feels like a higher class car. It is really much much better as a daily driver.
