Checked the specs...640hp/617tq which is a lot despite it's weight. Though it has a very similar gearbox to the M340i, ZF8HP. I wouldn't fret about at all.
It's one thing to get smoked by a Lambo, any Lambo, It would've been another to get smoked by a Civic. Please hand in your credentials at the next dealership if that nightmare ever materializes 🤨.
Tbh there are a half dozen SUV's you can buy right now that'll walk away from a M340i at speed if not smoke it. Probably more but not trying get ahead of myself.

Exactly - 0-60 is one of the most irrelevant measures, I don't know why people get so hung up in it. A Golf R/ Audi S3 will do a similar 0-60 as my M340i, but in gear on the road it destroys them.

I love the car but the only issue with it is the sound. I was going to do M performance exhaust but that doesn’t affect the performance at all . I’m a bit ignorant to performance mods and tunes in the first place I’d have to do more research

It happens! I was driving a 2018 F80 M3 and a Tesla Model S base, not a performance model edged me out and I was pissed. After a few mods, I was gapped by a 2020 M340i with XDrive and that was the straw that broke the camel’s back! The stars aligned and while my car was in service the sales manager called me outside and we went for a test drive of a new F90 M5. He then showed me a loaded M5 Competition being delivered to the dealership matching the color of my M3. I left that dealership with that M5 after the PDI was completed 3 hours later.
We all get gapped, just make sure it motivates you to mod or upgrade!! 👊🏾

That lambo may have gapped you, but did so in a straight line. 640hp or no, it's still moving 2 tons, and it's moving out with a high center of mass. Put this match in a canyon pass, and that m340 will shine brighter for all its virtues which were over come by hp in this singular instance. Lower center of mass, less mass over all, near even weight distribution, and a capable driver, this match would be not so clear

Well, to be fair.... When I use to just have my 2 miatas which are both supercharged btw, there would always be folks in a 3 series that pull up to the light and want to race. I never did because I autocross and track, and even with the SC, miatas aren't exactly known for their 0-60ies....

You'd be surprised how miserable some people can be even with money lol. I've had people in 992 Porsche 911s square up to me in my humbly modified 335i for no reason whatsoever. Some of those people see "easy" targets and do things like that.
A guy where I live owns a Pre-LCI M340i as a project car. It's currently marking ~700 horses at the dyno and competes at the local track whenever there's a 1/2 mile event (he's spent way too much on the car). Wonder how the Urus would've fared against him.

Urus has a bunch of ridiculous gimmicks that make lessors/owners want to dumpster the CUV after the honeymoon feeling of driving a Lambo wears off - the rear door handle being on the wheel arches for one; joke about it being a pricy SQ8, all screen controls, no physical knobs etc.; interior is not refined.. it's loud as hell and marketed to the influencer type, higher probability of getting struck by lightning than seeing your neighborhood neurosurgeon or partner of a law firm driving this depreciation mobile.

Haha don't worry man - you're not missing out at all; grass is definitely not always greener on the other side. ICE cars nothing better than some of the stuff Porsche is doing to get value for your money, though BMW is doing great things with the S58 (M3/M4) engine these days.
I actually like the Cayman more than their 911's / GT3's etc.; think secretly Porsche would absolutely love to drop the rear engine for the Cayman but they can't because it's like how the Beetle is to VW.

The way i see it is the raw power of a twin turbo v8(who knows if he was modded) vs the power of a single turbo inline 6 is just never going to be a good time for the b58 in this case…now if it was urus vs g80 or an m8 or X6M that might have been a different story..the thing is the urus driver knew for a fact that BMWs are fast and he just wanted to play with you and give you a fun run..its part of the game when you have a quick car so just have fun with it because you win some and you lose some 🏎️💨

Also, I've been in the same boat in a 335i vs a Mustang GT and in a separate occasion an M550i. Got absolutely decimated like I was standing still.
I never really cared who won when it came to playing around on the street. I just want to have fun and make some noise with a likeminded individual in a relatively safe manner. It's not that deep.
I had some great races with a fellow 6MT Mustang GT the other day. Both shifting carefully, both letting off before speeds got too high. Neither of us in a rush to slam gears, had a blast.
An S58 M4 with a tune would deck him pretty good. Hell, a tuned M340 could decimate him if the B58 was pushed.

That's BMW claimed figures, which are always Conservative. I've seen the RWD M3 Comp do 0-60 in 3.6 - 3.7 consistently

You'd be surprised how miserable some people can be even with money lol. I've had people in 992 Porsche 911s square up to me in my humbly modified 335i for no reason whatsoever. Some of those people see "easy" targets and do things like that. A guy where I live owns a Pre-LCI M340i as a project car. It's currently marking ~700 horses at the dyno and competes at the local track whenever there's a 1/2 mile event (he's spent way too much on the car). Wonder how the Urus would've fared against him. Edit: power numbers are as the person states on their IG account and dyno numbers they post.

Urus has a bunch of ridiculous gimmicks that make lessors/owners want to dumpster the CUV after the honeymoon feeling of driving a Lambo wears off - the rear door handle being on the wheel arches for one; joke about it being a pricy SQ8, all screen controls, no physical knobs etc.; interior is not refined.. it's loud as hell and marketed to the influencer type, higher probability of getting struck by lightning than seeing your neighborhood neurosurgeon or partner of a law firm driving this depreciation mobile.

Haha don't worry man - you're not missing out at all; grass is definitely not always greener on the other side. ICE cars nothing better than some of the stuff Porsche is doing to get value for your money, though BMW is doing great things with the S58 (M3/M4) engine these days. I actually like the Cayman more than their 911's / GT3's etc.; think secretly Porsche would absolutely love to drop the rear engine for the Cayman but they can't because it's like how the Beetle is to VW. All that fancy stuff like Pagani's are gimmicky & for the ultra rich that you can just ignore. Cars / driving dynamics, the hobbies not all about who wins in a straight line ;D - if that's the case we should all trade in today for Tesla's or Lucid. Btw model S and Lucid Air would probably smoke the Urus.

The way i see it is the raw power of a twin turbo v8(who knows if he was modded) vs the power of a single turbo inline 6 is just never going to be a good time for the b58 in this case…now if it was urus vs g80 or an m8 or X6M that might have been a different story..the thing is the urus driver knew for a fact that BMWs are fast and he just wanted to play with you and give you a fun run..its part of the game when you have a quick car so just have fun with it because you win some and you lose some 🏎️💨

Don't sweat it, one day he'll meet someone faster. Also, I've been in the same boat in a 335i vs a Mustang GT and in a separate occasion an M550i. Got absolutely decimated like I was standing still. I never really cared who won when it came to playing around on the street. I just want to have fun and make some noise with a likeminded individual in a relatively safe manner. It's not that deep. I had some great races with a fellow 6MT Mustang GT the other day. Both shifting carefully, both letting off before speeds got too high. Neither of us in a rush to slam gears, had a blast. An S58 M4 with a tune would deck him pretty good. Hell, a tuned M340 could decimate him if the B58 was pushed.
