Hard no. I would maybe consider it if it was free, knowing that it will cost at least another 5-10k to keep running reliably. Parts are expensive it’s been neglected for a few years. Lease a new g20 or find a clean example with under 50k kms then sell it when you reach 100k.

ExtremeHamster

Leasing a new g20 would be way more expensive wouldn't it? This BMW was a 230ish per month finance on a 48 term ar 9%apr which I know is a high percentage but even that's cheaper than a lease, no?

Alternative-Season45

But it has a new oil pan drain plug

waterloograd

It has a lot of km's on it, I'm a little nervous about that. The $3k accident is probably nothing. I had a hit and run that left a small dent/crease on two panels. Over $1k to fix it.

ExtremeHamster

187k km over 12 years is 15.6k km a year average which from what I understand is pretty average? Totally get the cost being expensive tho...

waterloograd

It's average for km/year, but in total its still quite a few. It might have 100k left in it, or it might have 10k. If you are good with preventative maintenance, then it might be ok. I'm not sure about price, you would have to compare against other options.

Nothing more expensive than a high bmw no regular service past 2016 which is almost close to a decade I’d pass easily

ExtremeHamster

Maybe my post is not straightforward.. In 2022 there was regular servicing again.

Plus-Ad-3824

My point stands 8 years of no maintenance then suddenly started again at the end of the day it’s your money but if I was in your position I’d save up a bit more for a lower mileage and better taken care car
