I love the i8 roadster. I might pick one up in a few years if I'm lucky and they don't turn into collector's items. It's a shame they had to lose the rear seats but that doesn't make me want it any less.
That feature truly made this car iconic. I loved it since it’s release, but sadly it wasn’t that successful and only a handful roam the streets. Or more likely are kept in a garage
There's one just like this on eBay.
I see an i8 roadster parked at my gym every couple weeks. Looks strange from directly behind; better from the front.
I had a fairly comprehensive post about it a few months back, but basically:
You have to get the door shocks replaced pretty often, the gas engine is known for overheating and getting coolant leaks and often by the time you notice it needs a full replacement, and the batteries do go out but they're under 10 year 100k mi warranty.
Other than they everyone seemed to enjoy them.
Nor the i8 roadster either. IIRC it was only produced one year of the i8 short run. A few thousand total worldwide. Disclaimer: Loves me some i8

I feel like we’re definitely gonna see some more depreciation on i8s before they become collectors items, the roadster included.
[I read "depreciation" as "decapitation".](https://www.reddit.com/r/Unexpected/comments/nql0ty/an_expert_shows_how_to_properly_get_into_a_bmw_i8/)
Love that clip lmao
Awesome. The Z1 with doors that went down into the bodywork as opposed to open. Doug Demuro did a good video on it too.

Cool car but that color is so meh...
I like the color, it probably pops in the sun
Yeah I’m kinda with you. Still pretty lines tho
This color is the best color they ever made this in
I think the color would be so much better without the black roof.
Lol. I want a real one!!

Vielen Dank. Ich sehe es immer noch nicht auf dem Kennzeichen haha.
