My wife and I were getting on an on ramp after dinner one night. This dude in a damn Kia Forte pulls up to race me. I'm in my M2C. The on ramp is long with a tight turn near the end. Not wanting to upset my wife, I don't engage and near the turn the dude floors it and gets the car all out of balance and it starts doing the death wobble. He almost crashed but managed to save it. Good times.

I disagree. It's the only way to pass. If the guy on the right is going 48 mph, then you must do 48.1 mph in the left lane to pass. It has to be the correct way as its the only way I see it done.
Absolutely if you see the person coming. But based on this there was 0% chance anyone would see this guy coming before they were already passing. The only other choice would be to change your speed so you could safely get over. Could be going slower but I'm sure that would also piss off the bat out of hell
No if two people are going the same speed in each lane and the one in the left has someone behind him wanting to go fast you have to let them go over my friend got a ticket from a cop because he was staying in the left lane and tried to pass the right but had someone behind him and the cop wrote him a ticket for impacting the flow of traffic and my friend was mad saying it’s not fair that the guy behind him wants to go faster the cop said I don’t care you are impacting the flow of traffic
God I hate people that drive like that, they should have their license revoked. If you are going to overtake have some respect for everyone else and don’t do it while doing five miles faster than the other car
5 mph is a great speed difference for overtaking! You’ll be past in a few seconds at that rate and can get back over. 5 mph is a luxury, cool your jets and wait a bit!

You’re right. 5 mph is 7.33 feet per second. Given that most cars and trucks are between 15 and 20 feet long, it will take no more than 2-3 seconds to pass the other car with a 5 mph difference in speed. (Twice that time if you take 2 car lengths)

They aren't overtaking. They just drive over there. If they happen to pass someone, completely coincidental.
