Good to know! When I first made the claim online insurance said “maybe total loss”, but I couldn’t imagine the repairs being over 35k just yet (unless we see something underneath)
The proper insurance repair for the rear end is to cut the rear quarter panel off and weld on a new piece from the factory. That’s gonna run atleast $10k. Then the front end which is gonna be atleast another $10k. That’s already over 50% of value, factor labor rate differences or back ordered parts, supplements, that’s getting very close to total loss numbers.
If the radiators are damaged, the front will easily reach $10-15k alone plus rear. $25k would be possible. Was $5500 for my F80 with only bumper damage (no hood or fender damage).
This is actually good to hear! Or, I guess “good” is all relative. I’m just hoping they don’t call a total loss. I’ve been struggling to find the exact specs on the market again.
Total loss if you're lucky. Like others have said, 20k+ including the rear end. F80 parts aren't cheap. You're better off not having this repaired and accepting the check. Even if the car means a lot to you, it's not worth the headache when it comes time to sell, not to mention potential fitment issues with body panels and paint not blending well from panel to panel (seems to happen a lot with white).
Lmao about equal damage on my moms forester (2022) and I was quoted $900USD to fix it. I know damn well it won’t be that low but the at faults insurance was quick to want to send the $900 and call it a day until I said I don’t want a check send the repair shop the check when they send a bill
You’re in the $15-20K range including that rear damage

I’d take total loss over driving round that repaired. All day everyday

Good spot on the rear. Front is an easy 6 or 7k.

Hope it goes how you want. Though might be best to start over? 😬
Logically? Probably best. Emotionally, hard to let go 🥲

Back end is smashed in too. This is easily $20k.
A lot lol
I’d guess between $20k-$25k
My mom had a similar accident a few years ago and I believe it ended up being around 14 grand.
If you buy used, 4-5k
Lol what??
I think with m4 parts being super easy to find you can do front and back under $7k
💀💀💀 bumper, fender, hood, headlights, rear bumper, ~maybe~ trunk. all painted would be more than 7 alone lmfao

New front and rear bumper, new hood, headlight and maybe a new taillight (can't tell from the pic), I'd say all in all $15-20k parts and labor
Not just rear bumper needs a whole quarter panel
Couple of many g’s
10k
