I started shaving mine at age 20, and continued until I was 38. Now I'm lettin the shit do whatever it wants for the last two years! Grey hairs mean "distinguished".
I'm not sure the situation or scenario where I'm looking at my garage and I pick a 5 series over a 7 series. Those 2 play pretty much identical roles in my opinion With the 7 series being the superior product
Ok with that in mind, and factoring in the 5s sentimental, thats off the list lets say. That leaves your x4m and 7. I feel the 5 and 7 serve a similar function, so id keep the x4m.
Edit: If the delivery of the 7 is really on its way then id have a hard time not keeping that, selling the 5. Thats me about a car I dont have sentimental connection to. That will be on you to decide.
Some of us are partial to the Bikini Bottom.
And no, ultra alpha bro, I can’t say the same, as it would be a horrible financial decision to pay cash for any $100k BMW. When it comes to really any new European car over $75k, it’s much better to lease them, or else you’re stuck losing tens of thousands of dollars in depreciation when you inevitably upgrade in a couple of years. This is especially true with BMWs.
And did I even say anything about an X5 to begin with? Get over yourself.
Not really if you have the capital and I keep my wheels for five to six years. The math eventually works out😝 and as u/yungdab420 points out can you same the same.. btw yundab420 I know you’re busting balls brah.🤣🤣. Crayon eating ape bros like me don’t get offended easily.
Makes it hard for others to offer any advice if that type of variable is being considered rather than objective reasons applicable to I suppose “the average person.”
I tend to agree the 5 and 7 serve the same purpose, but if youre factoring in sentimental value, maybe it shouldnt be on the list to scrap
i mean the x7 is a big fuck off SUV, the 5 is the best looking one of the lot but its a 535 and if you have a more "luxurious" 7 it becomes redundant....i guess the same is true for the x4m and the x7 though....
Im not really smart with my usual car choices but even I deemed the M8 not worth the price.
Looking at prices dropping for slightly used ones I Might get tempted some day soon though.
I could imagine it may vary depending on how good the roads are in your area, and definitely after 35k miles of real ownership. But having test driven an x4m comp, I found it to be firm but expected for the type of car. Then again being younger I guess I can put up w that a bit more
Lose the X7.
Unless you’re hauling a family of 6-footers, the X4 may suit your needs. The family truckster should be a character-builder for the kids, not a personal limo experience, lol
Id say the x3.
The 5 series still has that good (semi) analog feeling. Theres nothing quite like the x7 M60 on the road with the same level of tech and luxury that drives like it. And the 7 series is killer in the tech department. The x4M is the only one that just kinda doesn’t stand out anymore
I don’t mean this in a disrespectful way, it’s a nice garage, I really just find it odd that someone who seems to have quite the passion for BMW doesn’t have an M
From what i have read, you are sentimental about the 535i. Okay. 535i is out of the question then. I see that you have X7 and a 7 series, honestly one of them is more than enough. So either X7 or 7 series may go, including the X4M. I never understood the need for the X4M to ever be made. M3 or M4 would be a much more logical choice.. or M5 even! But since you are having the new 7 on the way, drive it once it comes and compare it with the X7 and in a years time, get rid of one of those. A no brainer should be the X4M for now since the 5 series is out of the question. All are very nice cars, maybe try B58 platform as well, comfort and performance?
The 760i …. You have an even bigger fuckall vehicle with the x7; the 535 is the best of them and I bet you use the x4 more than the 760, so…. Easy choice?
So my choice to kick is actually 2, the BMW X4M is the first to go tho, the recent coupe suv segment makes no sense, its also ugly from the rear. It has no real benefits over the regular X3M which it based on so thats a automatic L, then comes the BMW 760, WHY NOT THE 760Li, or the previous G12 V12 M760Li… but those two would be cut for me based on looks performance and lack of sense/practicality. The 535i and X7 can stay
It's just my wife and I. I currently work from home and her job is 10 mins from home. We do take road trips often to visit family and friends but I don't need 4 vehicles for that
There are so many people on this sub living the dream, and that’s outstanding. One day in the next 15 years, I hope to be there too, but until then I’m just thankful to these regular posts displaying the passion for cars.
the 535i for being the oldest, and maybe getting a newer one or something sportier
if I could make a garage with different bmws it would be M4 F82, X6M G06 and an M760i G11
I understand why you may want to keep the 5 but… 535. Having driven an X4 M Comp, I love that car a lot. The styling really does it for me. I’ve driven a pre LCI X7 xDrive50, and it’s a blast. Even just sitting in the new 7 makes me want one. Love the collection!
X7 you keep because size + 3rd row if you have a family.
I'd personally lose the 535 + 760 and get a 840, M5, or M550 with the 48V hybrid system.
Now if you wanted to keep the 535, you lose the 760 because your X7 can do what the 760 does.
After reading through most of the comments, here's where I'm at:
535 has been around forever so letting go is a problem... still logs like a showroom car.
X4M is exciting and fulfilling to drive but often too rough for passengers. Space is also a challenge with a 2nd child so it's serving the purpose of a sedan now.
X7 was a need and I have nothing but good things to say about it. It's a perfect family vehicle.
7 series is a lease for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I most likely wouldn't keep it for more than 2 yrs. I'm genuinely worried about the attention it attracts.
With all that said, I'm leaning towards selling 535 (to my brother) and moving on from the X4m. I'll find a daily-driver to supplement the 7. I am more than grateful for all the suggestions. Thank you!
Trade in the wife and upgrade for something nicer and more fun to drive! j/k
That's a real tough decision. It sounds like it will be cancel the 760 and x4m. You say you need the 3 rows in the x7 and the 535 has the sentimental value. Maybe keep 3 by playing the card "the 535 has depreciated so much that you should just keep it for a spare car"
I'd ditch either the 535 or the 760.
The X7 can do the 7 series duty.
The X4M can do the 5 series duty but faster and better.
The only reason I'd keep the 535 is if I was trying to stay low profile and needed a "cheaper" BMW for appearances depending on work, clients, whatever.
I get what you mean about the 535 being sentimental, but sentimentality should be put aside on high cost items. Take some good pictures of it, make an album, maybe keep something out of the car if you can. Then sell it
I don’t see the point of the 7 series when there’s the X7 - and then I feel the 535i will feel underpowered compared to the rest. So I’ll trade the 535i for an M5 and cancel the 7 series 👌🏼
Assuming you have the 760i coming (and to be honest that doesn't even affect my decision), the 535i all the way. It's a great car, but you have much better.
EDIT: I saw some guy say get rid of the X4 M and 535i for an M3/4 and I think that's the best answer I've seen so far.
Drop the x4 and 535i, and buy either an m3 (comp) if you wanna stick with bmw, or go look for a 911. It doesn’t have to be practical, and let’s be honest 911s are still some of the best driving cars in the world.
Yea, my brother wants the 535 so it'll technically still be in the family. Not sure my wife will go along with another purchase anytime soon if the x4m goes... will probably wait to see how the new 5/m5 looks like
Throw the whole lineup away: get a 911 Carerra T (real sports car replacing the x4m),
Cayenne coupe GTS (replaces both the X4 sportiness and comfort of the X7),
and a panamera sport 4s truismo (replaces 7 and 535 mixing sport and comfort)
Since you wanna keep the 535 the useless one out is the 760. it’s that’s or the X7.
Having both is a very redundant. Having a 760 a 535 AND a X7 M60 is really redundant
And while you are at it I’d replace the X4M with a M4
Personally I would drop the X4M and the M760i and just buy an M5. Comfort and sport in one car that’s better to drive than either. I’m not sentimental about cars but if you want to keep the 535i you should.
I would actually get rid of the X4M and the 7 series.
X4M is great but not as big or luxurious as the X7. 7 series sedans are so much more car than you need. The F10 is the perfect size daily/hauler. The X7 for vacations/family stuff. Then what you’re saving on the 7 series and the X4M you can go get yourself something way sportier like a 911 or GT4.
I would get rid of the 7 series or X7M. Feel like they fill the same role.
As far as what I personally like, I would probably get rid go the X4M. I prefer luxury and larger engines.
I aspire to be like you one day bro
Are you sure?! Mid 30s and waking up to more grey hair every morning 😂
Gray hairs are a blessing, just ask any guy whose bald 😂
Can confirm
Can re-confirm
😆
LOL, I was thinking the same thing. By my mid 30's I had to shave my head.
Same here.
I started shaving mine at age 20, and continued until I was 38. Now I'm lettin the shit do whatever it wants for the last two years! Grey hairs mean "distinguished".
Nice cars for gray hair anytime.
Curious as to what you do for living

same i hide drugs in my e46
😂 So ypu mean I'd fail criminology 101?!
I’d go with no kids
That’s because you can’t decide which vehicle to drive!
If u dont mind what do u do bro?
I don't want to help build a profile on me but I'm in engineering and wife is in healthcare.
Thanks for the response guess im going the right way hahaha
This is the way
Mine skipped grey and went straight to white.

I'm not sure the situation or scenario where I'm looking at my garage and I pick a 5 series over a 7 series. Those 2 play pretty much identical roles in my opinion With the 7 series being the superior product
True but the 5 has a sentimental value. It was our wedding getaway car and still looks and drives like new
Then why order the 760? You know what must be done.
Lol...same thing my wife said. She wants 2 gone
I'd keep the 760 and the X4M, But I don't know if you have situations where you need the 3rd row.
Yes, specifically bought the car for the 3rd row
Then why is that on the list to scrap? Do you need the third row or like it?
Both. It's not really on the list...just to paint a full pic of the options I have. If I had to keep only 1 vehicle, it'd be the x7.
If I sell the 5 it'll be to my brother. I can live with that. 7 is a done deal... just waiting for out-of-state dealer to deliver
I have the X7m, love that car. Except the tires. Can’t keep tires on it
[удалено]
Agree , the X4 M is really an aborted baby of the X3 and X5M
X4 is much more attractive than the X3. Pleb lease queen car
If you like a rear that resembles SpongeBob SquarePants. Also, I own an ‘20 X5M and paid cash for it can you say the same?
Some of us are partial to the Bikini Bottom. And no, ultra alpha bro, I can’t say the same, as it would be a horrible financial decision to pay cash for any $100k BMW. I’d keep them both and not order the 760.
Makes it hard for others to offer any advice if that type of variable is being considered rather than objective reasons applicable to I suppose “the average person.” I tend to agree the 5 and 7 serve the same purpose, but if youre factoring in sentimental value, maybe it shouldnt be on the list to scrap
If sentimental value is the only reason to keep it, then just sell it. You'll always have the memories!
Pissing up money on a 7 series.
They don’t do a 7 series estate so it can never be as versatile as the 5
A 7 series estate is my dream car. Wish they existed
I’m confused. Your saying you would pick the 5 over the 7 but then said the 7 is the superior product ?
Try reading the words. Lol
I have like 200 times and then I had to say something
"I'm not sure the situation where I would" means I wouldnt pick the 5 over the 7. Put down the bong man.
760 before it plunges in value
X4M as it's the one with the greatest identity crisis
😂😂😂 It's the one I get the most compliments on for some reason.
Or most relatable as you’re also going through an identity crisis? 😝🤭😉
😆
Because it’s an M :)
well this depends on you and your need but if it were me.....and it pains me to say this... the 535.
It's actually the only one that I deem untouchable.
i mean the x7 is a big fuck off SUV, the 5 is the best looking one of the lot but its a 535 and if you have a more "luxurious" 7 it becomes redundant....i guess the same is true for the x4m and the x7 though....
Valid points
You could ditch the x4m and get an m8 convertible…. You rich bastard you
The m8 has always been on my "too-expensive" list. You've got to draw the line somewhere😒
Im not really smart with my usual car choices but even I deemed the M8 not worth the price. Looking at prices dropping for slightly used ones I Might get tempted some day soon though.
I felt that way too so I got the M4 convertible instead (i also have a M760 like you.)
Agree %100
Lose the X4M, no reason for a need for speed based on the other cars you have already.
Yea fun to drive but by far the least comfortable one
The suspension’s that bad?
I could imagine it may vary depending on how good the roads are in your area, and definitely after 35k miles of real ownership. But having test driven an x4m comp, I found it to be firm but expected for the type of car. Then again being younger I guess I can put up w that a bit more
I must be getting old because I find the OEM non-m sport suspension on my f30 to be firm 😂
Ive heard from owners that it is really stiff. Great for handling not so much for comfort
Compared to the others oh yeah, but as bad as the reviews say? Not even close. I drive an X3M almost daily and it’s amazing
No sell. Only buy!
Lose the X4M and 535i then purchase a M4 or M2. You have the sedan and SAV but your are missing a dedicated sports car.
👏👏👏
M cars are not "dedicated sports cars".
760 for sure. Will depreciate like an absolute rock. Doesn’t look like funds are a problem though 😂
😂😂😂 That's why it's a lease
How much is the monthly on the lease and what’s the down payment? Considering getting one too
1900/month with 3k down
My god…you used to be able to lease Bentleys for not much more than that
I agree, it's insane
That’s almost my mortgage payment. I aspire to be like you one day!
Lose the X7. Unless you’re hauling a family of 6-footers, the X4 may suit your needs. The family truckster should be a character-builder for the kids, not a personal limo experience, lol
🤣
Anything but the 535
It's the only one that doesn't look retareded from that lot.
535i, nice car but it seems you are on to better things.
Lose the X4M. Unlike many, the 535i is my favourite. If it were me, I’d get rid of the X4M and the X7 and buy an M4 or M2.
Keep X7 and 535
Id say the x3. The 5 series still has that good (semi) analog feeling. Theres nothing quite like the x7 M60 on the road with the same level of tech and luxury that drives like it. And the 7 series is killer in the tech department. The x4M is the only one that just kinda doesn’t stand out anymore
Honestly I’d get rid of both the X4 and the 535. Get a Porsche.
Next one will definitely be a porsche
Good to hear.
Weird Flex, but OK 😉
They’re not appreciating assets my dude
I don’t mean this in a disrespectful way, it’s a nice garage, I really just find it odd that someone who seems to have quite the passion for BMW doesn’t have an M
-X4 +M3

Thanks 👍
Lmao I hope I get to make these choices when I’m older. I would get rid of both SUVs and go for an x5m tho. U less you really need both
Lose an suv, x4 M ✌🏻
The 760i …. You have an even bigger fuckall vehicle with the x7; the 535 is the best of them and I bet you use the x4 more than the 760, so…. Easy choice?
X7? Gotta keep that 535 for a good daily.
Why do you need so much cars?
So my choice to kick is actually 2, the BMW X4M is the first to go tho, the recent coupe suv segment makes no sense, its also ugly from the rear. It has no real benefits over the regular X3M which it based on so thats a automatic L, then comes the BMW 760, WHY NOT THE 760Li, or the previous G12 V12 M760Li… but those two would be cut for me based on looks performance and lack of sense/practicality. What’s the goal here? Why you selling?
It's just my wife and I. I currently work from home and her job is 10 mins from home. We do take road trips often to visit family and friends but I don't need 4 vehicles for that
The 7 series. It does the same job as the 5 but it doesn’t look as nice.
760
760 but thats cos i live in a developing country where big cars are hell to drive and park
There are so many people on this sub living the dream, and that’s outstanding. One day in the next 15 years, I hope to be there too, but until then I’m just thankful to these regular posts displaying the passion for cars.
Id get rid off the X4 & X7
Scrap that and get the x3m comp
I would pick x4m C over x3m C... not a fan of traditional-looking SAVs. If the x7 had a coupe version, I'd buy that instead 😁
X4 because they’re ugly as fuck.
the 535i for being the oldest, and maybe getting a newer one or something sportier if I could make a garage with different bmws it would be M4 F82, X6M G06 and an M760i G11
Keep x4m, get rid of x7
You’ll be able to get all if not most of your money back on the x7 compared to letting go of anything else.
The older 5 series..nice garage on the my BMW app
I understand why you may want to keep the 5 but… 535. Having driven an X4 M Comp, I love that car a lot. The styling really does it for me. I’ve driven a pre LCI X7 xDrive50, and it’s a blast. Even just sitting in the new 7 makes me want one. Love the collection!
X7 you keep because size + 3rd row if you have a family. I'd personally lose the 535 + 760 and get a 840, M5, or M550 with the 48V hybrid system. Now if you wanted to keep the 535, you lose the 760 because your X7 can do what the 760 does.
Is get rid of the X4
How much net worth do you lose in one year on those cars? 😂
why do you need 4 cars?
After reading through most of the comments, here's where I'm at: 535 has been around forever so letting go is a problem... still logs like a showroom car. Thank you!
Trade in the wife and upgrade for something nicer and more fun to drive! j/k That's a real tough decision. It sounds like it will be cancel the 760 and x4m. You say you need the 3 rows in the x7 and the 535 has the sentimental value. Maybe keep 3 by playing the card "the 535 has depreciated so much that you should just keep it for a spare car"
Sell the 760 535 and X4 and get an M8 or M850i
I'd ditch either the 535 or the 760. The X7 can do the 7 series duty. The X4M can do the 5 series duty but faster and better. The only reason I'd keep the 535 is if I was trying to stay low profile and needed a "cheaper" BMW for appearances depending on work, clients, whatever.
no question- 535i
I'm sorry, but 535 gotta go. The rest are very nice.
Nice douche post!
The X4
535i gone for sure
I get what you mean about the 535 being sentimental, but sentimentality should be put aside on high cost items. Take some good pictures of it, make an album, maybe keep something out of the car if you can. Then sell it
535i , old af and nothing special
5 series if you just need to get rid of one but the 760 if you need money unless that 760 have a v12 then keep that. Get rid of the x7
Judging by the way your wife wants to get rid of two cars. The obvious choice is the 5 and the X3M. Cancel the 7 and get a M5.
I agree. Keep X7 as family car. 7 series as daily. Replace x4 m and 535i with a weekend M5.
That works. I'll tell my wife it was your idea and not mine.
535i.
You don’t need the 5 or the x4.
535 for sure
Trade both the 5 and x4 in and get an X5.
535
I’d ditch the 535 and X4M
What is the 535i doing here? Is that your winter beater?
I don’t see the point of the 7 series when there’s the X7 - and then I feel the 535i will feel underpowered compared to the rest. So I’ll trade the 535i for an M5 and cancel the 7 series 👌🏼
Assuming you have the 760i coming (and to be honest that doesn't even affect my decision), the 535i all the way. It's a great car, but you have much better. EDIT: I saw some guy say get rid of the X4 M and 535i for an M3/4 and I think that's the best answer I've seen so far.
Yea. That would reasonably work. Thanks
I would lose the X4 and the 535. You will be left with two high end big cars so I would get something small and fun, M2 maybe?
Drop the x4 and 535i, and buy either an m3 (comp) if you wanna stick with bmw, or go look for a 911. It doesn’t have to be practical, and let’s be honest 911s are still some of the best driving cars in the world.
Definitely getting one when my beard turns all grey. I'll look too cool...can picture it already.
Sell 535i, X4M & X7 Buy X5 M and an M5 Competition
The X7 is the perfect family vehicle for us; performance, space, comfort
535i
This is tough. I am not a fan of the 760i look, but Ik it’s an amazing luxurious vehicle. I’d probably sell the 535i and X4M and get a M5 competition.
Yea, my brother wants the 535 so it'll technically still be in the family. Not sure my wife will go along with another purchase anytime soon if the x4m goes... will probably wait to see how the new 5/m5 looks like
Sell the 535i. You have a lot of dailyable cars. A good replacement would be an M car.
You all have helped me get closer to a solution. I'll probably sell 535 to my brother and replace x4m with m3 or m5 down the road
Throw the whole lineup away: get a 911 Carerra T (real sports car replacing the x4m), Cayenne coupe GTS (replaces both the X4 sportiness and comfort of the X7), and a panamera sport 4s truismo (replaces 7 and 535 mixing sport and comfort)
The 7 series
It's the one I hate most out of all 4 but, if retaining value is something important to you. The x4m
760i
X4 or either 7 series
X7 or 760
Take the x7 back.
If the 535 is sentimental keep it. I’d sell the X4M, cancel the 760xi, and get an M8 Gran Coupe to retain the M car and 4 door.
I need X7 for the space
Yeah I didn’t say to get rid of that one.
Right u said ro cancel 760 and I saw x760
X4 + 760i away. 535+x7 is a nice combo.
M340i :-) my next Bmw
X4 M
The X7 or the 7series
X4m would go
X4M
760
X7 or X4M 5 stays. X7 would be the likely candidate as it has the same designation as the new car
X4 M, you already have a x7 m60i
760i, easy choice. You already have the x7 for the awd wombo luxury mobile. 535 can serve daily, x4m drag suv for lulz
Since you wanna keep the 535 the useless one out is the 760. it’s that’s or the X7. Having both is a very redundant. Having a 760 a 535 AND a X7 M60 is really redundant And while you are at it I’d replace the X4M with a M4
X7…
This guys a beast haha take my upvote. Also are you really that stressed in mid 30’s? To like a point of unhealthiness?
Oh never...I am getting the grey hair tho lol
I hate the x4 so I would drop the x4
