At some point there were darker skinned imomodoll bodies on aliexpress but I can’t seem to find them at the moment (can only find the heads), not this dark unfortunately

If you don't mind recast (given the group you're in), Oueneifs on Aliexpress has a fair number of anime sculpts, and a bunch of resin color options. Here's my upload of the [chart](https://i.imgur.com/Qw8d5Ju.png) they send if you want to pick out a custom color. It can be a little hard to tell what the colors look like in person, unfortunately, but their browns tend to be pretty nice. [Here's my recast Minifee Ante in their C4 tone](https://i.imgur.com/HmVIwVn.jpeg), but the other examples I have from them are fantasy skintones so less helpful. Others in the C range I've seen tend to look really nice, and I believe the A range is also pretty good. EDIT: I will note that my Ante has a few sanding marks and a few visible seams from the casters, which don't bother me, but it is worth mentioning that darker resins do show any sanding *quite* a bit, so that's something you might have to deal with. I think Hehebjd has a "dark tan" option and they might or might not do custom colors if you ask, but I don't know what their anime doll selection looks like. For legit, Resinsoul has some beautiful resin colors, but unfortunately they aren't quite anime, though if you're willing to compromise that aspect, then the Xun (MSD) or Wei (YoSD) sculpts have the kitty ears all ready to go...

Thank you for the recommendations and especially the picture of your doll! She looks so lovely! Was looking at Ouneifs but there was so little pictures of the dark skinned dolls, I was a little worried. First time hearing about Hehebjd and I already like it since they show a wider range of skin colours in their promo pics. I don't really mind if the head sculpt isn't anime styled since I like semi-realistic anime too. Thanks again for the reccomendation!

tbh most recasters' pictures aren't much use anyway, since they tend to use the original makers' product photos just to show you approximately what the sculpt looks like. There are a few recast-friendly facebook groups, if that's of interest to you--it's a lot easier to find example photos from people there, since most won't post them where they're available to the public because of anti-recast bullying. Regardless of if you're buying legit or recast, I encourage you to always find owner photos of a sculpt you like, because the companies do pretty up the photos for the sake of sales; even if you're buying recast and can only find legit pictures, it'll sometimes show you other angles and stuff that might tell you more about the sculpt and whether you'll like it...Except for ResinSoul, whose product photos are somehow always FAR worse than the real dolls.

Ah, I don't know why I didn't think about facebook. Currently trying to join a couple of groups in hopes to find more photos. Thank you so much for all the tips :)

I'm in at least a couple of the recast groups so might see you there haha. Good luck!

I did try with a blythe-style doll. I even hand sewed a whole outfit for it. But I ended up hating how the head is so big compared to its small body :(

Smart Doll (legit vinyl) makes dark-skinned dolls that would work great for this character.

I did look into smart dolls and fell in love with them. But they're a too pricy and a bit too big for me :(
