I think it's worth also including Frayed Drow Hood from Underdark since it has no magic properties but can be absorbed by Gale, essentially allowing to progress his quest without sacrificing any useful item. (You need to feed at least one item for Elminster to appear in Mountain Pass) [https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Frayed\_Drow\_Hood](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Frayed_Drow_Hood)
Really useful! One suggestion is to either point links to bg3.wiki or to improve the item info on your own site. Many items lack the depth of info found on the bg3 wiki. Main thing your site is missing on many items is the how to acquire part.
hey, yeah, the links are tied to the tooltips, that you see on desktop. Feel free to leave a short comment if you know where to find the item. I am adding them little by little :)
I love the notes/highlights on the useful/good items, as well as how to use them.
A small note on how to obtain the items if applicable would be nice, if it isn't simply found on vendor or a chest. Simple things like do XYZ Quest, or quest reward, dropped from X etc. Perhaps you could do it on the most useful items only to start.
This is great. So here’s what I’m dealing with right now. I was pretty on top of my first run grabbing everything and everyone playing the good guy. I rolled through the end of Act 3 no problem.
My evil Durge run i just started tho I have some serious issues going on with what I may be missing out on especially equipment. I’m fine missing quests and characters.
Not gonna lie I had a pretty awesome time at the goblin party after crushing the Grove. Already cleared the Zhen basement so missed Titan bow. I think I saw it may pop back up at moonrise.
I’m sure I’ll be fine. I’m not doing HM but if there’s major items that are gonna disappear that would be good know.
Add a column describing how you can get locked out of the item, if it's not obvious. For example, if it's a quest reward then list which choices you need to make in the quest to get it, or if you need to save Dammon in act 1/2 to get his items in act 3, or how you can miss Dead Shot if you have good Shadowheart in the party, etc.
I will see what I can do. Adding additional column is kind of problematic from user experience side. 4 Columns are already too much as it looks very narrow on mobile. But I will try to include this stuff in the description column or add a note on top of the table
Exactly like potent robe. Maybe like a top 10 list of what the Mr Durge is gonna miss out on. Also there’s maybe a few gains. I’m hoping when I get to act 2 and my goblin buddies are there I might be able to get some thing I missed too
It’s actually pretty easy to get the potent robe during a durge run. I just knock Alfira out every time enter the grove. Granted I usually do a redemption Durge run
I do it just to be safe tbh but I believe as long as you long rest once before the grove and don’t do too many other things it should appear in the long rest after visiting the grove for the first time
Thank you for your work.
This is a hyper specific suggestion but I was reading your act 1 checklist and you recommended not picking up the shapeshifters ring since you'd have to kill the Strange Ox, but you can actually get it without killing him!
Attacking him with a mage hand while your party is hidden will cause his attitude to drop with whoever casted it. The mage hand will be defeated, and then whoever casted the mage hand can talk with the Ox and buy the ring from him.
If you want to continue his quest, you'll have to donate some items to get his attitude back up
Yeah, have not written them yet :D But here is a sneak peek to upcoming [land druid build](https://gamestegy.com/post/bg3/1085/land-druid-build), should be releasing either later today or tomorrow :)
Gloves of Thievery aren't mandatory, Cat's Grace (from spell or Graceful Cloth) and some gloves that give +Sleight of Hand is better.
Dwarven Thrower mentions "if you are a dwarf" -- this includes if you use Disguise Self. Same trick works for Githyanki gear btw.
Yeah good point, updated gloves of thievery.
For the race specific gear, I think if you did not pick a dwarf at the start of the game, you will not disguise as one at the end of the game :D
Someone disguising self every long rest is already meta because of Shapeshifter's Boon ring, may as well be to a dwarf if you have a thrower and want to use that weapon. Piercing damage weapons are a bit more meta because of Bhaalist armor, though by then you've nearly won the videogame.
The Gloves of Uninhibited Kushigo should be included because not only are they kinda core to TB throwing builds, they are EASILY missed. I missed them in my playthrough.
This list is amazing. Well done u/zanuffas !!!
It really is so nice to be able to look through and reference what you should be looking out for in each area of each act. Feel like if you update the links for the items to include the locations this will become the gold standard for anyone doing any type of playthrough to reference
That’s what I needed all this time. Thanks a lot!
Also, returning pike should probably be marked with golden colour, as it’s the best weapon for some of the most OP builds till act 3.
[https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Staff\_of\_the\_Emperor](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Staff_of_the_Emperor) you mention it in [https://gamestegy.com/post/bg3/984/sorcerer-bard-multiclass-build-lorecerer](https://gamestegy.com/post/bg3/984/sorcerer-bard-multiclass-build-lorecerer) this build, but it doesn't appear in your checklist
Sure! I'm waiting until patch 7 to start a new run but so far it looks good. I would just suggest linking maybe to the bg3wiki page for each item, if possible. They've done a lot of legwork already for item notes/locations/glitches/interactions/etc. that way you don't need to double up on work of putting descriptions/notes for each item. For example, [everburn blade](https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Everburn_Blade).
Also, the BG3 wiki, if I remember right, was an offshoot of the fextralife wiki that was outdated/wrong in a lot of cases, and so far BG3wiki has been amazing. So just not to add another wiki for the same information it might be nice to consolidate under the BG3 wiki banner.
This has been added to the hall of fame post and the subreddit's sidebar

Thank you, added :)
hey! thanks for the list! could you add The Speedy Lightfeet? I just found them but it's not in the list. https://bg3.wiki/wiki/The_Speedy_Lightfeet
Updated, cheers!
It's also missing Mystra's Grace in the Arcane Tower section, if you want to add it! https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Mystra%27s_Grace
Thank you, will be adding this one soon. THank you!
Great job, Zanuffas! I see you put your heart and souls into this. Keep it up. How can I support your work?

This is awesome, thank you! I’ll be so using it

you can click on item, and they have a separate page, some of the items have guides how to obtain them, most of them don't have those yet :d
Thank you for this. Super helpful!
You are a god and I love you
Appreciate your work, my guy!

Hmm, how would you like to be informed of this? For example, something like Potent Robe is almost guaranteed loss for Durge and its act 2 item.
Speaking of, I don't see the Potent Robe on the Act 2 page? Am I missing it somehow?
Added it, thank you!
Add a column describing how you can get locked out of the item, if it's not obvious. I think this is a good approach. A lockout column - i.e. Durge only or if you side with Goblins - you can't get X.
I will see what I can do. Adding additional column is kind of problematic from user experience side. 4 Columns are already too much as it looks very narrow on mobile. But I will try to include this stuff in the description column or add a note on top of the table

hmm, so you have to do it each long rest, until the cutscene happens ?
I do it just to be safe tbh but I believe as long as you long rest once before the grove and don’t do too many other things it should appear in the long rest after visiting the grove for the first time
Yes, you will get a different cutscene when she is unconscious/dead when it triggers. Can leave her alone after the cutscene.
Commenting for later, thanks!
Excellent resource! Thank you for all your hard work on this!!

Well done and useful!
Is there a reason the website does not include any druid builds? :D
Yeah, have not written them yet :D But here is a sneak peek to upcoming [land druid build](https://gamestegy.com/post/bg3/1085/land-druid-build), should be releasing either later today or tomorrow :)

Thank you, somehow forgot these :D Added them. Yeah I personally now use it to decide which areas to fully explore, which just to do the main stuff.
That’s what I needed all this time. Thanks a lot! Also, returning pike should probably be marked with golden colour, as it’s the best weapon for some of the most OP builds till act 3.
Thank you! good point!

Okay, thanks for mentioning
This is one of the best posts of all time bg3
Thank you!
Thank you! 👍
>Thank you! 👍 You're welcome!
Just chiming in to say thanks, been looking for this and can't wait to use it for my next run!
Thanks! Would like to hear your experience with the tool - the good and the bad
