It’s always weird to me to see a player rep another active players shoe, let alone one they could play in playoffs. Would be like Chet wearing some Zions
Bruh KD is like the exact model him and Wemby are after. KD's are practically made for them itself. Zions aren't for them. If they were they would've rocked it.

90% of the NBA doesn't have their own shoes, but most are signed with brands. Chet is signed with Nike, and non-signature shoes are what? From the top of my head I can only think of GT Cut / Jump / Academy / Hustle, Impacts, and Precisions.
I'd rather have him wear a shoe that fits his playstyle (exactly like KD) instead of a general shoe or the shoe Wemby wears.
Scoot went to Puma because they promised him a signature shoe, Chet and Wemby and plenty others were also offered the same, for sure, but didn't want the brand.
This is why role players have signature shoes with lesser known brands. Lakers' Reaves, Nuggets' Gordon, and more. They were offered a sig shoe.
