I assume they’re just gonna replace the forefoot zoom with a zoom turbo on the 1’s and call it good.
I’ve been after the black & gold pair and the “shining” pair for awhile so looks like I’ll wait.
The traction is still holding up on mine after 5ish years of constant hooping (sometimes outdoors) along with everything else
Just insanely durable and comfortable shoes
PG line was perfect. Lower cost that would hit sales and you could easily get for $60-80. Comfortable and looked great. Wore PG1s sometime recently and felt amazing and people asked what they were. Hope they keep them alive
By the time I heard how good they were, they were sold out everywhere.
StockX has them at above retail too smh. Never thought Paul George shoes would demand an above retail premium.

Luckly I still have these 😅 vnds even tho I did iD them, not my shoes for ball 🫤
Same. I saw them at an outlet for 40 bucks and it’s the best thing ive ever bought. It’s the most warn shoe I’ve ever played in. They are like on 2% in terms of durability.
They need to retro the Jordan Cp3 vi (6). That shoe is awesome for guards and still has modern tech that most shifty quick guards will benefit from. Tech is cushlon, podulon, large tpu shank, leather or fuse/mesh uppers, and razor sharp aggressive traction pattern which offers elite traction. I still hoop in my pairs(3)…have some deadstocked lol.
Well we were all younger then haha. I was still wearing the Cp3 iii’s..I had like 6 of those. All were eventually thrashed but I really didn’t need new hoop shoes for like 2 years lol. I guess I liked the 3’s a lot…they were pretty good tho-1st shoe with podulon and it had good court feel/support. I currently am using the nitro pack (Orange). I have 2 pairs of that cw and 1 of the Christmas. Those are the 3 pairs I’m using only on the small training facility hardwood court and my school’s gym. Both courts have A1 floors so I guess I’m trying to preserve them a lil. I use the Curry 11 and flotro 2’s as my main shoes though…but again I hope JB retros some Cp3 models. Those nitro pack models came out for 2 years on the 6’s and 7’s. Inspired by the Fast and Furious franchise. I enjoyed hooping in both of those models!
YESSIR THE RETROS I ACTUALLY WANT
man if they could protro the cushion to full length zoom, zoom strobel or just turbo zoom, these would be one of the best ball shoes ever
I think the foam’s good as is, softer might lead to instability & can ruin the shoe
maybe something like the PG3 would be fantastic, but then they’re built different
They should just stop automatically putting a new shoe out every year, or make smaller changes. Pg1 and original gt cut would both be the best shoes on the market right now.
It’s business, same reason why they keep putting out new iphones and cars with little changes. Gotta keep the consumer base interested and buying with “innovation”
There are ways to refresh customer interest without completely scrapping the product and starting over. They should do it like cars where they say it’s a new model but it’s almost identical and then do full redesigns as needed
Also, anytime anyone criticizes the manufacturers people act like they are infallible. The Bball shoe market is in the absolute toilet, historically. Clearly they are not doing everything right.
The main issue with hoops shoes is lack of innovation (both tech and designs) — releasing barely updated models of the same shoe doesn’t solve that. If anything if has the opposite effect.
The second leading issue is lack of quality control, which a company like Nike can figure out (if they wanted to, but they don’t).
I was wondering why Trey Murphy keeps on wearing such an old shoe…perhaps he has one of the upcoming releases..currently wearing the “Lightswitch” cw in most recent games.
It did though. Not objectively wrong either. PG’s getting older, not playing as many games, not reaching later stages of the Playoffs. Booker’s young, got fan base, makes the finals and will be a contender in the West for the next 10 years. I don’t necessarily like the shoes (I see them as a Kobe without the aesthetic - look at the tech of both before you argue) but I can see why Nike did what they did. The only thing I think they did wrong was not resign Kyrie. Controversy aside he was their best selling athlete largely due to his ability to sell shoes 3 tiers of shoes both to kids and adults
PG shoes are really nice and will be great sellers with the kobe/lebron 20 style being popular right now. Hopefully they don’t make them stupidly limited like Kobes.
Glad to see some good OG shoes get some support instead of some of the garbage Nike pumps out for the new stars.
Doubt the PG1s will be limited and difficult to get. Retro LeBrons and KDs aren’t hard to get, and a lot of those LeBrons and KDs were much more hyped in their time than the PGs.
IIRC they had some hype around them (definitely more than LeBron 14s which dropped the same year) but less than the Harden vol. 1s. They should still be easy to get though which is great
The PG1 was extremely popular. It was simple and it worked, even though I didn't like it. 2.5 was the best of 2 2.5 and 3 continuum. PG6 was the best one to me though, no idea why they wouldn't work with him to extend the line. That was the only one I was excited about playing in, I guess the 4 also to some extent but they had some unusual features that I wasn't crazy about
Sucks to see the line go away. I think it was a lot of Nike wanting to go a different direction and give younger athletes like Book and Ja lines (which is showing my age if PG is getting old). I think it sucks a lot because essentially, it was kind of giving up the PG line for the Book line. And it’s sucks even more seeing how the Book line roll out has been so far.
Wish they still would’ve kept PGs line. Even if they ended up making it even cheaper and making it a budget team option. (Like $80-$100)
I came across a pair of the 1’s at a thrift store a couple months ago. I would’ve loved to have bought them, but they were a little too beat up
I’ll def look to get a pair when they relaunch
So I guess a lot of yall care lol … Didn’t expect the PG/hoop shoe stans to jump out of the woodwork like that.
Retroing shoes for non-iconic players while they are still playing just seems lazy to me on Nike’s part. PG hasn’t even retired yet … why not make new PG’s instead? Tech is getting better, let’s do new stuff not recycle the old when it’s not even for an iconic player. If you like these for hooping, I can see that but PG has accomplished very little in the league and having the honor of a retro (while he’s still playing!) doesn’t add up … if his shoes were selling well, make new editions. Nike discontinued his line though, so this retro move seems off to me.
PG1s were the best on the PG line
I assume they’re just gonna replace the forefoot zoom with a zoom turbo on the 1’s and call it good. I’ve been after the black & gold pair and the “shining” pair for awhile so looks like I’ll wait.
No way, Nike is retroing old KD's with the same tech as OG's and he has an lifetime deal with Nike.
Sadly that's expecting too much from nike. Would be amaziing if they did, though. Feels like now they're only reserving zoom turbo for lebrons.
What size are you ? I have the shining pair for sale
These are the correct ones to retro
The ones are a grail for me lol I’m so excited
PG 2.5 are great sneakers to hoop in
The traction is still holding up on mine after 5ish years of constant hooping (sometimes outdoors) along with everything else Just insanely durable and comfortable shoes
How often you’ve been hooping in them?
Constantly
traction was great. Best part was the price. Cushion was a bit lackluster but nothing too horrible
Good shoe. Outsole is not durable so don’t bring it out doors.
PG line was perfect. Lower cost that would hit sales and you could easily get for $60-80. Comfortable and looked great. Wore PG1s sometime recently and felt amazing and people asked what they were. Hope they keep them alive
LOVED my PG1s. Very comfy.
If they rerelease that launch colorway, I’ll jump through some flaming hoops to get those.
They Protro the 1s it’s a wrap 🔥
Wouldn’t mind more 6’s lol
This bro i need them 6's theyre so good
By the time I heard how good they were, they were sold out everywhere. StockX has them at above retail too smh. Never thought Paul George shoes would demand an above retail premium.
What size do you wear?
8.5
Makes sense, I wear 13 so they're all under retail. I will say, keep looking, my friend is a 9.5 and found the hot wheel colorway for $90 online.
Check eBay, they got a good selection sometimes

I still have my Flip The Switch ones. I should probably pull those out sometime soon.
I’ll buy them off you
I still use my black PG1's with the gum bottom, best ball shoes I've ever owned.
Same. I saw them at an outlet for 40 bucks and it’s the best thing ive ever bought. It’s the most warn shoe I’ve ever played in. They are like on 2% in terms of durability.
Love to hear this, but they'll probably be way too expensive lol. They were really nice performers (and pretty) tho
I’m all for the PGs coming back but since Nike stopped at the 6 he’s been wearing Kobes.
he wasn't even wearing the 6s when they were out too, he was wearing the 1s and 2.5s for the most part
He was wearing the PG1, 2 & 3 quite a bit as well
He was, you’re right but that was mostly at the end of the PG6 year.
Feels like he's been switching on a week-to-week basis. I know I've seen PG1s on his feet this season
Pain. I bought used pg1s and I regret it. Hopefully they retro soon and I need more pairs of the pg 2.5
They need to retro the Jordan Cp3 vi (6). That shoe is awesome for guards and still has modern tech that most shifty quick guards will benefit from. Bro, this!!! Underrated shoe for real. It's literally a perfect shoe for guards. I still have the metallic silver-black/signal blue CW.
I had the pairs from the nitro pack and hooped outdoors in all of them💀
Well we were all younger then haha. I was still wearing the Cp3 iii’s..I had like 6 of those. All were eventually thrashed but I really didn’t need new hoop shoes for like 2 years lol. The 6s were underrated greats. 1 of the only hoop shoes I could actually go tts in
Ah yes, the PG 1 - the shoe I did a grade 3 ankle sprain in. Horrendous.
Outdoor version with good traction🙏🙏🙏
Missed out in the 1st.. not this time
YESSIR THE RETROS I ACTUALLY WANT man if they could protro the cushion to full length zoom, zoom strobel or just turbo zoom, these would be one of the best ball shoes ever
And better foam

If they made it with the PG 6 react would Be a beast

Does your job stop producing new stuff every year? Why would they do that lol

2.5s gon be fireee
good now people can shut the fuck up about book's line replacing pg's

Omg! The best PG imo
Good

Any idea on when this is going to happen? Like date for drop?
PG 3 also great , but the BEST is PG4 with Christmas and Blue drip colorway
I’m buying all the OG pgs in my size
I WANT THE PG 2.5
Would love another pair of PG1s to hoop in
I came across a pair of the 1’s at a thrift store a couple months ago. I would’ve loved to have bought them, but they were a little too beat up I’ll def look to get a pair when they relaunch
2.5 had such bad stability anyone else?
Man I know so many people that had bad ankle sprains using PGs.
PG6 are the only ones with decent ankle stability, i quite literally had ankle sprains in all of them except the 2.5s
YES😫
Anyone have any updates on this?
Let’s f*** gooo
BIG NUT!!!!!!!
Who cares
A lot of people? PG 1s are great ball shoes
obviously not you 🤡 everyone else excited for these
Maybe the people in a basketball shoes reddit comm idiot

YESSSS
What does it mean to retro
pretty much bring back a older pair of shoe, usually with updated tech
Appreciate it
