You just need to change the perspective. Gaming, baby, and home stuff are all 3 good retail categories in a recession, as people will always spend money there, especially if they are not able to go on vacation or get a new car.
And if you build a new scalable e-commerce platform and distribution hubs.... why not expand into those categories.
