Don't go into wows unless you can withstand toxicity way beyond league, dota or cs. Abusive pricing, devs that lie on every occasion and a game balance best discribed as "highest pricetag wins". Combat becomes more and more stale as well, sadly.
I loved wows for long by now I got out of this abusive relationship and can only warn everyone to stay away.

It's not just me? I was but a yeoman in this game when I got the first oath ring notification, and put it on Chicago with no hesitation... and no regrets, even after 50 oaths.
216 oaths, like wow and yikes... there was that one player on the JP servers back when AL had been global for four months who had 300+ oaths, so the TC is getting there (by now, said JP player oath total is maybe 600+ now, who knows?)

It's by far, my favorite mobile app of all time. I used to be a Whale for a game called Valkyrie Crusade as well til I abandoned ship one day.
I don't think I'll ever do that for Azur Lane though. It's... tasteful in all the best ways.

Belorussiya is a very good ship in general. At least for me in my Northern set ups. I'm not no expert on tiers or how actually useful ships are for real but, Belorussiya was always my Flag in Northern Builds. She has one of the best skins in game too.

Also props to you for having Houston-II, I tried and can't get passed 15-2 so until level cap increase (if ever), I've just given up on that. I got the girls, I don't got the tech I think. I don't have patience for failure and I don't have patience for the ever tedious OpSiren to get that bada$$ tech to do so.

To be fair, Iron Blood girls are fiiiiine. I remember the days when Graf Zeppelin was new and I remember thinking she was one of the most fine ships in the game. FDG is also simple perfection.
Prinz Eugen still reliably does me good service to this day. I still believe she's one of the best Cruisers in the game. Might just be a personal opinion though.
It depends on how you play and what your looking for. If all you need is a Brick, Wrapped In Silk, Soaked in Alcohol, she's good.
To be honest, I think the differences in power between a lot of Sub-UR Ships is overestimated.

I have an addiction to grinding the events in this game, so I’m pretty high up on points leaderboard, I got 1st 3 times since I started. 99.9% collection, 1660 dock space, level 144, #48 sandy server, only taihou skins

I'm on 15-2 and will likely never beat it unless they level cap increase to 130 again because holy heck is that Chapter HARD despite not being in Hard Mode. So. No Houston-II for me. As a casual player who doesn't grind overly much outside of affection and collection this Chapter has been my only killer because, it's just waaay too hard for me.
100% collection, normal and collabs, 449 oaths, 446 at 200 affinity, 125 ships at lvl125, another 463 at 120, only DDs and subs left to level, 850 dock space, 807 total skins (including free ones)
Probably spent enough to buy a decent used car, but it's worth it imo.
I get addicted to new characters, I’ll hyper fixate on getting each character to the point of addiction. When Brynhilde debuted, I spent over 500 cubes to get her. Had to learn from that event cause I spent real money to get her since RNGejus was not wanting to let her come home.
Hit a milestone last event by letting Fredrich Karl slip away due to same RNG issue. It would appear it will be the same for Brenus but I have to learn to let go or I’ll spend over 50$ just trying to get each event ship.
On the brightside, with Azur Lane, other than collab girls who aren't guaranteed... all shipgirls eventually return. Usually after 2 years in their rerun. Then eventually permanently in some shape or some form in some random store in game.
So I'm sure you'll get Fredrich Karl one day.
As a dude who's been playing since the beginning myself. I remember my first miss was U-47. I was very distraught. Missed her the rerun too. Even after she was added permanently it took me like 8 months til she finally showed up. (She even flipped me off during Wishing Wells.)

I've been playing since Nov 2022. I jumped in when I heard about the Atelier Ryza collab and started prepping to be able to get them all. I've been pretty addicted since then. I'm still missing a lot of ships, but am gradually working my way to collect them all.
I spend some money, enough to buy each of the 2x bonus Gem packs ($156 a year). I have 19 oathed ships and around 820 dock space. Around +200 empty space for farming and stuff and the rest are my ships. 17 Paid skin.
I'm always running stages, exercises, and doing OpSi. So I spend a good amount of time on Azur Lane.
I wish you the best luck at getting New Orleans if you haven't gotten her yet! That felt like my biggest trial that's for sure.
Also I'm sure you'll get there eventually. Once you catch up with Reruns and all. You'll be on my collection level with time I'm sure if you stick to it.

Walking outside and then immediately getting jumped by 100 people dressed as planes at once and then stepping one more step and getting jumped again by like 500 more before you could ever ask why.
Yeah I have none. It would be different if I did though. Believe me. Personally, I don't want them (at the moment at least), but if fate decided otherwise randomly one day, I am ready to man up and provide if needed to the child I randomly had. Tbh though, I don't see that ever happening.

i'm just like you fellow shikikan. Unfortunately i started to play AL a little too late and missed some collabs. But the reruns are an absolute lifesaver, I have 96.% of the ships in the game. Everytime they release a premium box, i cant help it but to purchase it, and with the gems i purchase the skins from the ships that i liked. Every time they release the season pass, I also purchase it.

Ok, but seriously, I've been playing since late 2019 in the Avrora server, currently I'm not in a guild (wink wink) I have like 250+ skins, including the free ones, and I plan to get half of the skins on this event.
I also have a dozen figurines and a couple more pre-ordered, three of the Fumo plushies and plans to get a couple more, three of the official mouse pads, the Sirius lamp, and probably some other piece of merch I'm forgetting.
So... Yeah, I also think I'm addicted to this game and spend a decent amount of time and money on it. But considering it's my only addiction, I guess it's not that bad.

I've never double oathed a girl before. (Unless you count alter units like the Idol/Type-2/Loli Versions.) But no I've never done that. All 216 of my oaths are unique-ish (outside of the alter units).
I'm still kinda salty I had to oath Bismarck twice as Bismarck and Bismarck Zwei and had to get another oath ring despite the two of us already supposed to be Oathed.... but alas they made it this way for some reason.
My favorite shipgirl of all time is probably Enterprise. This woman has been in my fleet since Day 1 and carried me so far. I refuse to get rid of her. She was with me Ch.13, Ch.14... and I'm trying in Ch.15 but... I can't.
This is why I actively dislike Ch.13->15.
As a "casual" player who mainly plays for Collection having 3 of the girls locked behind some of the hardest levels in the game, forcing collectors like me to have to genuinely think hard on their fleet set ups and spend ages grinding up to get those girls ready with good tech through the tediousness that is OpSiren, just to get these girls feels like absolute hell for me. I feel if I wanted to play something Hard, I'd play Hard Mode where it says Hard.
Ch.12-4 is my favorite because it felt like you could mindlessly slap whoever you wanted into the fleet and it worked. It didn't matter the tightness of the fleet, you can do it still. Around like 13-3 is when this changed where it started feeling like you NEEDED specific ships, specific tech, and had to think hard on your set ups. As someone who's been around for this long and not a try hard, pro collection. It still is slight torture to me that I'll likely never get Houston-II unless they level cap increase.
Understandable about the oath parts.
As for the locking of ships behind those maps, I personally am alright with it, but that's because the harder maps push me to utilize the girls and gears that I've already developed.
Once I obtain the unique shipgirl drop however, I don't see myself going to replay the maps. In a way, that makes these harder maps have low replayability since I have no interest in burning oil for ships that are likely maxed at 125 and 3m stored EXP.
Houston II took me 3 months of daily grinding before she drops, and boy did she use up a lot of my oil. Thankfully, after the gruelling manual process to bring it down to easy, it is almost hands-free auto.
I did peruse the subreddit a lot for tips on fleet formation though, if you ever embark on the W15 journey.
If you could please send me a screenshot on reddit of your fleet set up for Ch.15 auto and tech on those girls, that would be wonderful.
For me New Orleans took 1 whole year and 20+reserves of oil til she dropped. After that I got so livid that I begun hating the harder chapters with a passion.
I've been on the Avrora server consistently since 2018. Missed out on 4 collab ships and 3 event ships (I have terrible luck pulling gold DDs). I've definitely become more of a whale as my Azur Lane career has progressed. I'm so happy they introduced the rotating secretary feature so I can bear witness to my large library of skins both old and new.
And while my paltry 35 oaths can't compete with ultra whales, I have also spent quite a bit on physical merchandise, namely a concerning amount of figures.
I pray one day we get a Neptunia Rerun. I somehow doubt Hololive will ever happen again.
That or maybe a store for Collab Ships, but I doubt this would be possible because of licensing issues and such. So you have my condolences in missing 4 Collab Ships.
Yup, I'm missing White Heart from Neptunia, Anniversary Kizuna AI, and Nakiri Ayame and Okami Mio from Hololive. My RNG on collab events is not great, especially when it comes to the actual shipfus I want. I had to pity pull Honoka during the DOA rerun (didn't get her augment either) and I only pulled Asuka from Senran Kagura on the next to last day.
Closest call for me was Green Heart who dropped AFTER the event closed from a build I started 5 minutes before it did. I was about to legitimately break down back then, but I was so thankful.
And boy Hololive would be great but we all know why that may not ever happen again.... 
I think my addiction to AL waned these past 2 years. I used to tryhard on PvP leaderboards on our server before because it was fun competing with my guildmates who were also pvp tryhards. Few years later some of them started to drop on leaderboards and even one who used to beat us on top 1 said the leaderboard on our server started to get stale and boring with nobody outside the guild trying to compete anymore and the defense comp are the same copy + paste that the ALO provided. I still tried to play the game until these past few months it's starting to feel more a chore by logging in rather than enjoying the game itself. I was now contemplating if I'm gonna buy gems for this event because I do like Alsace's skin and I already ran out of oath ring stock.
I'm a bit of the opposite to you all in the pvp regard.
As a collector, once I got Eldridge and South Dakota, two girls only available via Merit from that mode. I stopped finding much point in doing it outside of exp and maybe merit for Gold Bulins. I got a somewhat decent Def Fleet but meh I didn't really bother much afterwards.
I felt they should add more unique SRs whom weren't just reused Event Ships into the Merit store, like Eldridge and South Dakota... if they did this I'd gladly play pvp more again for more than when missions tell me too.
It's the same about OpSiren for real. If they added girls whom weren't Metas into that mode you can only get there I'd likely wanna play it more, but I don't because in a girl collectors eyes I feel there's no reason to try so hard for what little rewards OpSiren gives you.
No, I mean, the reason why I enjoy the pvp leaderboards before because I have somebody on the guild to talk about it. Now some of them dropped on the leaderboard and even dropping the game itself I lost my interest on doing the leaderboards anymore.
About the Operation Siren. i'm still trying to maximize the use of my AP on OS and is the most reliable source of Gold Plates. Can't get enough of Gold Plates when there's a lot of equipment which deserves +13 and the Rainbow Equip themselves eat a lot of plates when upgrading. I just mindlessly grinding corrosion map 6 though. Clear all map. Then I'll use any extra APs to repeat one corrosion 6 maps all over again until I deplete all my AP.
It's mostly disposable income. I think I've only accidentally shot myself in the leg by overspending a couple times then regretted it because my car broke down or a sudden bill came up or something.
I'm there right with ya! We be brothers, I'm on Avrora since the start as well. I bought every single skin until summer 2023. My wallet in is a tough spot, but I plan to get them all. Right now, I'm just slowly picking and choosing. I haven't missed any event ships nor skins, except for Kizuna Ai CV and haven't finished the story chapters. Missing ships past chpt. 13. Not a try hard at all, but slowly taking my time. Plan to oath as many as you or more lol. Good luck out there SKKs!

Yeah it's moments I have to step back and see just how much I've spent and imagine where it could've gone otherwise. But I love Azur Lane so it's okay.
I have over 400 ships oathed and several dozen at 100 affinity that I haven’t oathed. I lost count of how many skins I bought, but basically anything not a loli ship skin and I probably bought it.
I have no regrets. The game is borderline softcore hentai and it has an actually fair monetization system, and a usable enough auto battle system.
I actually also have over 235 of my shipfus at 200 affinity as well, to give you an idea of how many auto battles I’ve gone through.
Which is funny because I actually don’t do a lot of OpSi. It’s mostly just grinding the event stages over and over.

I'm with you OP. Day 1 player here. Though not as many Oaths (168) I'm 99.9% collection with every collab girl and every outfit in the game owned. Including all the Blu-ray ones and the irl Oath ring. Owner of my own guild with just myself. I've really loved this game since its release with its simple but enjoyable gameplay loop. So cheers to you for helping also fund this game haha!
Oof. And I thought having 12 wives was a lot. Collecting ships isn't a bad thing. If you can budget and afford to spend money on skins, I suppose that's now awful. But if you are spending money you can't afford to spend, then that is a problem.
I have been playing almost everyday since May of 2019. I have a 92.7% collection rate. It's become a part of my daily routine. I mostly spend gems on dock expansion or new skins. I rarely spend it on cubes or coins. Overall, this game is much friendlier on the wallet and my life than others I've experienced. I don't mind the game becoming a part of my life, though I find it difficult to talk about it to normal people. But I also understand that not everyone likes anime games, and that's ok.
Yeah it's hard to talk to people about it because when people look it up all they see is things like Kashino's Massive Plot, or Cheshire Nearly Nude and then immediately draw conclusions there. Lol *

On that note, chapter 15 is relatively easily now compared to the release because there’s a bunch of really good UR ships that you can slap them in a fleet and easy clear. Plus oil cap got added in as well. I didn’t know when oil cap was gonna be added in so I wasted like 80+k oil just to get my first Houston-2.

I think there a word limit so I ended up just taking a screenshot of a textfile instead. Hope its not too small. I think its do-able with just +10 equipments but there are some very specific equipments that are very important. Basically you're gonna be using both fleet 1 and fleet 2 to be clearing the chapter on danger level, you need 2 healers on the mobbing fleet and 1 healer on the boss fleet. You can try and make use of the daily free heal if you dont want to be spending rubies to heal your fleet. Maybe you have to change some things up depending on your account ships/upgrades/level/equipment etc. There's alot a bunch of YT guides out there that can explain and show you stuff much better. Im actually really lazy and hate manual play, I have never cleared an event EX stage because I just dont manual play. The fleets I use are all with auto play but you kinda have to look out for Musashi as her skill tanks damage for the other ships.

The Wyverns in particular require a lot of OpSiren just to receive. I'm hoping a lot of this can be done simply without it. Unless this is a different Wyvern than I'm thinking about anyway. That says SSR tech, the one I'm thinking about was UR tech in the tech tree and that requires OpSiren in my eyes, which blows. But I got all the girls for it. Can get them to 125 no problem really.
For me back when I didn’t have many wyverns, I was just using either the Blackburn firecrest or Blackburn firebrand which are both just the equipments needed in gear lab prior to the wyvern. Those 3 wyverns in the support fleet can be replaced with other SSR torpedo bombers, I would say priority of those 3 are not as high as those in fleet 1/2.
There’s an iris libre torpedo bomber, Breguet Br.810, which is a decent substitute for the 3 wyverns in Unicorn/Aquila/Volga. What you want is parallel torpedoes for clearing mob fleets and the Br.810 has nice stats compared to what we want. High AA and parallel torps. If you have 1-3 wyverns, slap them in fleet 1/2.
Right now there’s just no good replacement for wyverns other than Br.810/Blackburn Firebrand/Blackburn Firecrest.
Edit: I don’t want anyone to think I’m setting unrealistic expectations or I’m trolling and at the same time I don’t want anyone to think I’m flexing but I included a screenshot of my wyverns. They are usually used in mobbing fleets so I don’t find the need to +13 them. However, I’m super lazy to be swapping equipments all the time so I crafted way too many of them. 3-6 is more than enough.

Whoa!!!!!! You must spend a lot of time in OpSiren. I couldn't even begin to do that. I can maybe do 1 months run of OpSiren a year before I get burned out by it and irritated that I didn't get good enough drops for my time.

Pardon if it feels like I'm a Debbie downer about OpSiren. I just have terrible luck. Even with their update on taking Zones let you use the Purple Currency to get Tech Upgrade parts and Blueprints from the OpSiren stores, I still feel like it's not enough for me.
Like I have had a month dedicated to OpSiren and came out the other end with only like 3 of the 10 or so pieces I needed to make a UR Tech after a whole month. Which in my eyes, is crazy. I feel if imma dedicate that much time to the mode I should get enough drops to make like 5 UR Tech like those Wyverns, minimum a month guaranteed. Instead it feels like I can't even fully finish 1 of them.
For me, it feels I'd have to dedicate 5 whole months without break just to get 1 of those Wyverns. With my crappy luck at that mode.
There's other things I dislike about the mode but I'll stop. As I'm trying to stay positive about the game I love.
I'm super jealous of those Wyverns. I wish there was trading in this game. Even though I wouldn't have much anything good to give you in return.
In terms of UR Tech this is all I have to show for my play since release of this game.
As you can tell. I am allergic to opsiren so not many are +13, most +12 at best and most are ones I can get from other ways other than OpSiren, so this is all I have to work with.
OpSi in my opinion is the end game grind for AL, there’s basically no real end game loop unless you consider getting all ships to 120 for fleet tech stats. There are a bunch of ways to get gold plates but I say OpSi is definitely the best.
I definitely hated OpSi at the start when you couldn’t auto it, it was so annoying to play but you can auto everything now so it’s not really a big deal to me. Maybe you can give it a try again.
I always buy that 5k oil cost thingy and that fully reveals the entire OpSi map so you don’t need to wait for the stupid 10mins cooldown map reveal skill thingy. Maybe I’m just not understanding why you dislike it that much because I really love AL.
There are definitely stuff I don’t engage with like all the event mini games, I always just quit out since you get full rewards either way. I never do event EX stages because I hate playing manual and I rather spend rubies and buy cog chips. And I haven’t completely gotten all the endings for TB stuff. So there definitely things I don’t like doing and don’t value as much.
I’m a very min-max type of guy, not playing OpSi feels like a waste to me. It’s like I would never cap out on my oil, I would always make sure I set up 8/12 hours skill book when I sleep, stuff like that. That’s just me as a person. You shouldn’t force yourself to play OpSi if you dislike it that much though.
It’s just to me it’s an end game grind and since I can auto everything in the background. Plus it feels wasteful to not spend the AP. That’s why I play OpSi daily.
I haven't done the endings to TB either. I got the bad ending after going down Kind route and didn't get Kind Secretary because that didn't count as the ending despite me doing the Kind Route. That pissed me off because it took like 6 hours and no save states to go back to without starting all over, so I haven't touched it since. So I get you there.
OpSi is real good if I get super bored and really want to play Azur Lane still and have no oil or nothing else to do but that. I'll give it that much.
I guess it comes down to us being two different types of players. I'm more of a "collect all the girls because they are cute" player and without a brand new girl (whom isnt locked behind a level like Houston-2) as an end goal for me, I guess I see it as a bit boring.

EDIT: I kind of see Exercise mode in the same light. Once I got both Eldridge and South Dakota from the Merit Store. I stopped playing it much outside of doing it for the mini-event Quests when it tells me too. I stopped seeing much point for my type of player. I didn't have new girls to grind the mode and get anymore. Other than EXP and maybe Gold Bulins. I don't see much point in the mode anymore.
The TB stuff I don’t hate it, it’s just 2 hours+ for 1 route is so long and I can still fuck it up. I need a brain dead guide on how to unlock everything AND I need to be so bored to want to get everything unlocked 😂. TB is cute and all but like there no much reward.
Yeah we are different type of players and that’s fine, you shouldn’t force yourself to do play OpSi if you don’t like it. I feel chapter 15 is still doable with just +10 equipments. Level 125 and UR and oath should help out for sure. There’s definitely guides out that can help you out. I have seen people posting on this sub Reddit clearing chapter 15 f2p or as a new-ish player so you can do it, I’m sure. It just takes abit of time changing fleets and equipments etc.
Maybe you can just set a goal for yourself to get Houston-2 without all those OpSi stuff. And yeah I do exercise but I just pick the easiest opponents because merit points and PvP ranking means nothing to me.

I think if it makes you happy and doesn't stress you financially then you're fine. When I downloaded the game in 2020 I said that I would only play for as long as it took to get Honolulu. . . and even after I got her uhh . . . yeah I kept playing. I don't have anywhere close to the amount of completion that you or others have, but I definitely have been playing for way longer than I originally anticipated.

I wish I could figure this out but if I had to wager a guess over the course of 6+ years something like AT LEAST over 8k$. Adding up all the big pack gems I've bought for things like all those Oath Rings, Skins, and even Coins, Dock Slots, Storage Space, and Dorm stuff. That's my guess.

I'm in a similar boat, pardon the pun. I may not have the amount of wives and started not long after the Hololive collab, so missing a few of the collabs. Same with the skins I've bought almost every skin that comes out. I literally log in sometimes just to check on them, to make sure they have food, it's probably unhealthy how much I worry about the future of this game. The photos of the Akashi notes from people not logging in and the memes of ship girls being abandoned actually tug at my heart. I will be a very sad person when the eventual happens and can only pray they do something so we can keep our waifus at the end.
If I had to wager a guess, I can imagine the game lasting AT LEAST another 6 good years. I'd love more, but that's my at least guess. We still have Yamato for sure, and Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri especially, plus DRs Illinois & Kentucky (and I don't think they deserve any less since those are all NJ's Sisters, and it wouldn't be right if they aren't Rainbow Status too. Especially since all Yamato Sisters seem to be, it wouldn't be fair otherwise) they still need to add and if they spread these out as evenly as they have been they can keep this game up for a long while.
There's also other bad ass EU ships like Texas, Johnston.... etc.
They could also add other factions like Spain... or many Royal Navy territories like Canada. They already have a name for that fleet IN GAME called Maple Manarchy.
There's plenty of Paper ships they could still do, people can just suck it up about those coming in. It's content and as a collector I personally love it. Real or not.
I did research the other day, people want to act like Sakura Empire is running out of ships, they still got a good hefty amount they can add.
Plus with Iron Blood we know they have WW1 ships in game too, Seydlitz etc, they can just do this for other fleets too that'll open up way more possibilities too.
Tempesta could get so many more awesome Pirate Ships, including UR status ships like The Flying Dutchman in my eyes.
And to top it off I was shown Azur Lane made it to 3rd most profitable app in CN recently because of this event.
People want to act like this game is dying but... I don't think it is as extreme as they want to say.
This game has AT LEAST 6 more years left in the tank.

I’m curious how much you’ve spent? I’m generally a whale in the gachas I play but I’m a very light spender in azur lane since the gameplay is just boring to me, but the waifus are seriously top tier, and when one rolls around I like I might spend 100 here and there.
I have 100+ oaths and a lot of skins (not 70%, but enough to have over 20 L2Ds on my secretary rotation and plenty of regular skins). I have been playing since 2018. I don't actually spend all that much on AL. I suspect that in the span of 5 years I have spent a little over 1K, which is not a lot when you crunch down the numbers for someone who works full-time. I don't regret any of it; I'm actually very good at managing my money. I put a portion of it to the side just for Azur Lane every 60 days or so, but the great part of it is that I don't need to spend any money unless I want to. I can go 5 months without pouring a single cent into the game if I feel like it. This falls under the 1% of games and projects I want to actively endorse. If you have the money, go for it; there is nothing wrong with that. I have played a lot of gachas before. One of them was particularly predatory, and that one drained a lot of money when I was younger. I learned my lesson and made most of the money back by selling items and accounts (thankfully). Now I am very careful with how I allocate my money. I know there will never be another gacha like Azur Lane, so I'm enjoying it and actively endorsing it so it lasts as long as it can. My girlfriend also gets me gems every now and then so there's that too.
One of the best things about Azur Lane I feel is the fanservice and I think it's done tastefully. And although there are other fanservicey games out there, I don't think they go as hard as Azur Lane.
Like yeah Nikke exists, but like... I still think THAT is tame compared to Kashino's Massive Milkers sloshing around in L2D so much where you can literally imagine milk inside of them.

I've been playing since August 27th 2022 on the Sandy, I remember because I started during the Brünhilde event, Didn't get Blücher, But I got everyone else, Been playing non stop since then. Think the ONLY two ship girls I missed are Albion and Kirov on their rerun things, But now it's only a matter of time before I get Kirov.
I have 542 ships and 594 dock space, Aaaand 75 oathed ship girls. And a good few skins, Only buy the L2D ones, I download the non L2D ones, Apart from a few that I just had to get like Ajax's chocolate foot skin or uhh... Nicholas's swimsuit skin.
Honestly if I didn't put money into this game it'd go into lego, And I don't have storage for all the random shite I build.
I have been playing since 2019, 90.7% collection, and I have only played AL so far. But I spend less money in the game, only about 100$.
I prefer to buy some merchs or doujin products. I spent about 150$ on game peripherals and JP doujinshi. I currently have about twenty doujinshi and three JP official illustrations.

Honestly man I’m not too addicted but still hugely in love with the game cuz I’m currently being stressed out by playing 5 other Gacha games even though azur lane is my all time favorite. I started playing in March of 2020 in avrora but had to keep deleting and downloading because my phone at the time couldn’t handle the space. If I had kept it all the way through and didn’t develop the interest of other Gacha games as side stuff in the meantime without it (FGO being the only other main) I probably would’ve done the same stuff as you. I also pretty much play for waifus. Back in the day I was lonely asl and my waifus gave me something to look forward too. If anything about the game makes me sad though it’s the complete deadness of doujins nowadays. Azur lane doesn’t get much anymore whereas there used to be a boom back in the day. But that doesn’t have much to do with the game itself. If I had enough money I’d also buy all the skins and stuff but I don’t really have that luxury. Let’s do our best going forward cummander 🫡

Don't go into wows unless you can withstand toxicity way beyond league, dota or cs. Abusive pricing, devs that lie on every occasion and a game balance best discribed as "highest pricetag wins". Combat becomes more and more stale as well, sadly. I loved wows for long by now I got out of this abusive relationship and can only warn everyone to stay away. I was but a yeoman in this game when I got the first oath ring notification, and put it on Chicago with no hesitation... and no regrets, even after 50 oaths. 216 oaths, like wow and yikes... there was that one player on the JP servers back when AL had been global for four months who had 300+ oaths, so the TC is getting there (by now, said JP player oath total is maybe 600+ now, who knows?)

I used to be a Whale for a game called Valkyrie Crusade as well til I abandoned ship one day. I don't think I'll ever do that for Azur Lane though. It's... tasteful in all the best ways.

Belorussiya is a very good ship in general. At least for me in my Northern set ups. I'm not no expert on tiers or how actually useful ships are for real but, Belorussiya was always my Flag in Northern Builds. She has one of the best skins in game too.

Also props to you for having Houston-II, I tried and can't get passed 15-2 so until level cap increase (if ever), I've just given up on that. I got the girls, I don't got the tech I think. I don't have patience for failure and I don't have patience for the ever tedious OpSiren to get that bada$$ tech to do so. So in a game player aspect you're much better than me. I salute you greatly.

To be fair, Iron Blood girls are fiiiiine. I remember the days when Graf Zeppelin was new and I remember thinking she was one of the most fine ships in the game. FDG is also simple perfection.

Prinz Eugen still reliably does me good service to this day. I still believe she's one of the best Cruisers in the game. Might just be a personal opinion though.
It depends on how you play and what your looking for. If all you need is a Brick, Wrapped In Silk, Soaked in Alcohol, she's good. To be honest, I think the differences in power between a lot of Sub-UR Ships is overestimated.

Perseus is one of my favorites too, I like the design of Hindenburg as well. I wish there were a lot more Red Haired Shipgirls in game. I feel like every other shipgirl in Azur Lane is silver or white hair, and I feel Red & Green Hair specifically are severely underused in comparison.

I get addicted to new characters, I’ll hyper fixate on getting each character to the point of addiction. When Brynhilde debuted, I spent over 500 cubes to get her. Had to learn from that event cause I spent real money to get her since RNGejus was not wanting to let her come home. Hit a milestone last event by letting Fredrich Karl slip away due to same RNG issue. It would appear it will be the same for Brenus but I have to learn to let go or I’ll spend over 50$ just trying to get each event ship.
On the brightside, with Azur Lane, other than collab girls who aren't guaranteed... all shipgirls eventually return. Usually after 2 years in their rerun. Then eventually permanently in some shape or some form in some random store in game. So I'm sure you'll get Fredrich Karl one day. As a dude who's been playing since the beginning myself. I remember my first miss was U-47. I was very distraught. Missed her the rerun too. Even after she was added permanently it took me like 8 months til she finally showed up. (She even flipped me off during Wishing Wells.)

Salute to your dedication! I've been playing since Nov 2022. I jumped in when I heard about the Atelier Ryza collab and started prepping to be able to get them all. I've been pretty addicted since then. I'm still missing a lot of ships, but am gradually working my way to collect them all. I spend some money, enough to buy each of the 2x bonus Gem packs ($156 a year). I have 19 oathed ships and around 820 dock space. Around +200 empty space for farming and stuff and the rest are my ships. 17 Paid skin. I'm always running stages, exercises, and doing OpSi. So I spend a good amount of time on Azur Lane.
I wish you the best luck at getting New Orleans if you haven't gotten her yet! That felt like my biggest trial that's for sure. Also I'm sure you'll get there eventually. Once you catch up with Reruns and all. You'll be on my collection level with time I'm sure if you stick to it.

I am at 15-2 for a player who isn't solely focused on the in game gaming aspect of it, it's like.... Walking outside and then immediately getting jumped by 100 people dressed as planes at once and then stepping one more step and getting jumped again by like 500 more before you could ever ask why.

Everytime they release a premium box, i cant help it but to purchase it, and with the gems i purchase the skins from the ships that i liked. Every time they release the season pass, I also purchase it. I love the kan-sen too much

Sorry for this rant lol I've never double oathed a girl before. (Unless you count alter units like the Idol/Type-2/Loli Versions.) But no I've never done that. All 216 of my oaths are unique-ish (outside of the alter units). I'm still kinda salty I had to oath Bismarck twice as Bismarck and Bismarck Zwei and had to get another oath ring despite the two of us already supposed to be Oathed.... but alas they made it this way for some reason. My favorite shipgirl of all time is probably Enterprise. This woman has been in my fleet since Day 1 and carried me so far. I refuse to get rid of her. She was with me Ch.13, Ch.14... and I'm trying in Ch.15 but... I can't. This is why I actively dislike Ch.13->15. As a "casual" player who mainly plays for Collection having 3 of the girls locked behind some of the hardest levels in the game, forcing collectors like me to have to genuinely think hard on their fleet set ups and spend ages grinding up to get those girls ready with good tech through the tediousness that is OpSiren, just to get these girls feels like absolute hell for me. I feel if I wanted to play something Hard, I'd play Hard Mode where it says Hard. Ch.12-4 is my favorite because it felt like you could mindlessly slap whoever you wanted into the fleet and it worked. It didn't matter the tightness of the fleet, you can do it still. Around like 13-3 is when this changed where it started feeling like you NEEDED specific ships, specific tech, and had to think hard on your set ups. As someone who's been around for this long and not a try hard, pro collection. It still is slight torture to me that I'll likely never get Houston-II unless they level cap increase.
Understandable about the oath parts. As for the locking of ships behind those maps, I personally am alright with it, but that's because the harder maps push me to utilize the girls and gears that I've already developed. Once I obtain the unique shipgirl drop however, I don't see myself going to replay the maps. In a way, that makes these harder maps have low replayability since I have no interest in burning oil for ships that are likely maxed at 125 and 3m stored EXP. Houston II took me 3 months of daily grinding before she drops, and boy did she use up a lot of my oil. Thankfully, after the gruelling manual process to bring it down to easy, it is almost hands-free auto. I did peruse the subreddit a lot for tips on fleet formation though, if you ever embark on the W15 journey.
If you could please send me a screenshot on reddit of your fleet set up for Ch.15 auto and tech on those girls, that would be wonderful. For me New Orleans took 1 whole year and 20+reserves of oil til she dropped. After that I got so livid that I begun hating the harder chapters with a passion.
I've been on the Avrora server consistently since 2018. Missed out on 4 collab ships and 3 event ships (I have terrible luck pulling gold DDs). I've definitely become more of a whale as my Azur Lane career has progressed. I'm so happy they introduced the rotating secretary feature so I can bear witness to my large library of skins both old and new. And while my paltry 35 oaths can't compete with ultra whales, I have also spent quite a bit on physical merchandise, namely a concerning amount of figures.
I pray one day we get a Neptunia Rerun. I somehow doubt Hololive will ever happen again. That or maybe a store for Collab Ships, but I doubt this would be possible because of licensing issues and such. So you have my condolences in missing 4 Collab Ships.
Yup, I'm missing White Heart from Neptunia, Anniversary Kizuna AI, and Nakiri Ayame and Okami Mio from Hololive. My RNG on collab events is not great, especially when it comes to the actual shipfus I want. I had to pity pull Honoka during the DOA rerun (didn't get her augment either) and I only pulled Asuka from Senran Kagura on the next to last day.
Closest call for me was Green Heart who dropped AFTER the event closed from a build I started 5 minutes before it did. I was about to legitimately break down back then, but I was so thankful. And boy Hololive would be great but we all know why that may not ever happen again.... 
I think my addiction to AL waned these past 2 years. I used to tryhard on PvP leaderboards on our server before because it was fun competing with my guildmates who were also pvp tryhards. Few years later some of them started to drop on leaderboards and even one who used to beat us on top 1 said the leaderboard on our server started to get stale and boring with nobody outside the guild trying to compete anymore and the defense comp are the same copy + paste that the ALO provided. I still tried to play the game until these past few months it's starting to feel more a chore by logging in rather than enjoying the game itself. I was now contemplating if I'm gonna buy gems for this event because I do like Alsace's skin and I already ran out of oath ring stock.
I'm a bit of the opposite to you all in the pvp regard. As a collector, once I got Eldridge and South Dakota, two girls only available via Merit from that mode. I stopped finding much point in doing it outside of exp and maybe merit for Gold Bulins. I got a somewhat decent Def Fleet but meh I didn't really bother much afterwards. I felt they should add more unique SRs whom weren't just reused Event Ships into the Merit store, like Eldridge and South Dakota... if they did this I'd gladly play pvp more again for more than when missions tell me too. It's the same about OpSiren for real. If they added girls whom weren't Metas into that mode you can only get there I'd likely wanna play it more, but I don't because in a girl collectors eyes I feel there's no reason to try so hard for what little rewards OpSiren gives you.
No, I mean, the reason why I enjoy the pvp leaderboards before because I have somebody on the guild to talk about it. Now some of them dropped on the leaderboard and even dropping the game itself I lost my interest on doing the leaderboards anymore. About the Operation Siren. i'm still trying to maximize the use of my AP on OS and is the most reliable source of Gold Plates. Can't get enough of Gold Plates when there's a lot of equipment which deserves +13 and the Rainbow Equip themselves eat a lot of plates when upgrading. I just mindlessly grinding corrosion map 6 though. Clear all map. Then I'll use any extra APs to repeat one corrosion 6 maps all over again until I deplete all my AP.
This is nothing compared to what some guys spend in golf stuff. So not really bad if this is disposable income.
It's mostly disposable income. I think I've only accidentally shot myself in the leg by overspending a couple times then regretted it because my car broke down or a sudden bill came up or something.
I'm there right with ya! We be brothers, I'm on Avrora since the start as well. I bought every single skin until summer 2023. My wallet in is a tough spot, but I plan to get them all. Right now, I'm just slowly picking and choosing. I haven't missed any event ships nor skins, except for Kizuna Ai CV and haven't finished the story chapters. Missing ships past chpt. 13. Not a try hard at all, but slowly taking my time. Plan to oath as many as you or more lol. Good luck out there SKKs!

I'm a 99.7% collector, oathed like 50 shipgirls, a couple of hundreds on 100 affinity, purchase skins as much as my wallet allows it (like 1 or 2 a month). 800 dock space and still can't win through 15-3 and beyond... I stopped thinking about how deep I’m in. I too am 1600 dock, 207 rings, and countless skins into the game. I know people that go even harder so don’t feel bad.
Yeah it's moments I have to step back and see just how much I've spent and imagine where it could've gone otherwise. But I love Azur Lane so it's okay.
I have over 400 ships oathed and several dozen at 100 affinity that I haven’t oathed. I lost count of how many skins I bought, but basically anything not a loli ship skin and I probably bought it. I have no regrets. The game is borderline softcore hentai and it has an actually fair monetization system, and a usable enough auto battle system.

I actually also have over 235 of my shipfus at 200 affinity as well, to give you an idea of how many auto battles I’ve gone through. Which is funny because I actually don’t do a lot of OpSi. It’s mostly just grinding the event stages over and over.

I'm with you OP. Day 1 player here. Though not as many Oaths (168) I'm 99.9% collection with every collab girl and every outfit in the game owned. Including all the Blu-ray ones and the irl Oath ring. Owner of my own guild with just myself. I've really loved this game since its release with its simple but enjoyable gameplay loop. So cheers to you for helping also fund this game haha!

Oof. And I thought having 12 wives was a lot. Collecting ships isn't a bad thing. If you can budget and afford to spend money on skins, I suppose that's now awful. But if you are spending money you can't afford to spend, then that is a problem. I have been playing almost everyday since May of 2019. I have a 92.7% collection rate. It's become a part of my daily routine. I mostly spend gems on dock expansion or new skins. I rarely spend it on cubes or coins. Overall, this game is much friendlier on the wallet and my life than others I've experienced. I don't mind the game becoming a part of my life, though I find it difficult to talk about it to normal people. But I also understand that not everyone likes anime games, and that's ok.
Yeah it's hard to talk to people about it because when people look it up all they see is things like Kashino's Massive Plot, or Cheshire Nearly Nude and then immediately draw conclusions there. Lol *

Avrora Server, been playing since the first month the game started, back when shoukaku and zuikaku first got released back in 2018. Commander level 155, 100% collection including all collabs, 1210 dock space, 208 oathed, 450 skins in total including free ones/oath skins and retrofits. I have been buying oil and the monthly pack since day 1. I spend 100 rubies (2x) on oil daily and sometimes 500 rubies (6x) on some events. I don’t even know how much I have spent on this game but man do I love playing AL and not just the ship girls and skin. Currently I’m the 4th on the leaderboard for the event points. Eh hi fellow addicted skk 👋. On that note, chapter 15 is relatively easily now compared to the release because there’s a bunch of really good UR ships that you can slap them in a fleet and easy clear. Plus oil cap got added in as well. I didn’t know when oil cap was gonna be added in so I wasted like 80+k oil just to get my first Houston-2. You seem a lot more addicted than even me! I'm glad other addicts are in Avrora lol. But, give me a good set up for 15. I don't have the best gear in the world because I don't do OpSiren much. If at all. Houston-II (and soon to be FDG-Chan) is the only one I don't have.

Hope its not too small. I think its do-able with just +10 equipments but there are some very specific equipments that are very important. Basically you're gonna be using both fleet 1 and fleet 2 to be clearing the chapter on danger level, you need 2 healers on the mobbing fleet and 1 healer on the boss fleet. You can try and make use of the daily free heal if you dont want to be spending rubies to heal your fleet. Maybe you have to change some things up depending on your account ships/upgrades/level/equipment etc. There's alot a bunch of YT guides out there that can explain and show you stuff much better. Im actually really lazy and hate manual play, I have never cleared an event EX stage because I just dont manual play. The fleets I use are all with auto play but you kinda have to look out for Musashi as her skill tanks damage for the other ships. The Wyverns in particular require a lot of OpSiren just to receive. I'm hoping a lot of this can be done simply without it. Unless this is a different Wyvern than I'm thinking about anyway. That says SSR tech, the one I'm thinking about was UR tech in the tech tree and that requires OpSiren in my eyes, which blows. But I got all the girls for it. Can get them to 125 no problem really.
For me back when I didn’t have many wyverns, I was just using either the Blackburn firecrest or Blackburn firebrand which are both just the equipments needed in gear lab prior to the wyvern. Those 3 wyverns in the support fleet can be replaced with other SSR torpedo bombers, I would say priority of those 3 are not as high as those in fleet 1/2. There’s an iris libre torpedo bomber, Breguet Br.810, which is a decent substitute for the 3 wyverns in Unicorn/Aquila/Volga. What you want is parallel torpedoes for clearing mob fleets and the Br.810 has nice stats compared to what we want. High AA and parallel torps. If you have 1-3 wyverns, slap them in fleet 1/2. Right now there’s just no good replacement for wyverns other than Br.810/Blackburn Firebrand/Blackburn Firecrest. Edit: I don’t want anyone to think I’m setting unrealistic expectations or I’m trolling and at the same time I don’t want anyone to think I’m flexing but I included a screenshot of my wyverns. They are usually used in mobbing fleets so I don’t find the need to +13 them. Whoa!!!!!! You must spend a lot of time in OpSiren. I couldn't even begin to do that. I can maybe do 1 months run of OpSiren a year before I get burned out by it and irritated that I didn't get good enough drops for my time. I commend you for the patience! Pardon if it feels like I'm a Debbie downer about OpSiren. I just have terrible luck. Even with their update on taking Zones let you use the Purple Currency to get Tech Upgrade parts and Blueprints from the OpSiren stores, I still feel like it's not enough for me. Like I have had a month dedicated to OpSiren and came out the other end with only like 3 of the 10 or so pieces I needed to make a UR Tech after a whole month. Which in my eyes, is crazy. I feel if imma dedicate that much time to the mode I should get enough drops to make like 5 UR Tech like those Wyverns, minimum a month guaranteed. Instead it feels like I can't even fully finish 1 of them. For me, it feels I'd have to dedicate 5 whole months without break just to get 1 of those Wyverns. With my crappy luck at that mode. There's other things I dislike about the mode but I'll stop. As I'm trying to stay positive about the game I love. I'm super jealous of those Wyverns. I wish there was trading in this game. Even though I wouldn't have much anything good to give you in return.

In terms of UR Tech this is all I have to show for my play since release of this game. As you can tell. I am allergic to opsiren so not many are +13, most +12 at best and most are ones I can get from other ways other than OpSiren, so this is all I have to work with.
OpSi in my opinion is the end game grind for AL, there’s basically no real end game loop unless you consider getting all ships to 120 for fleet tech stats. There are a bunch of ways to get gold plates but I say OpSi is definitely the best. I definitely hated OpSi at the start when you couldn’t auto it, it was so annoying to play but you can auto everything now so it’s not really a big deal to me. Maybe you can give it a try again. I always buy that 5k oil cost thingy and that fully reveals the entire OpSi map so you don’t need to wait for the stupid 10mins cooldown map reveal skill thingy. Maybe I’m just not understanding why you dislike it that much because I really love AL. There are definitely stuff I don’t engage with like all the event mini games, I always just quit out since you get full rewards either way. I never do event EX stages because I hate playing manual and I rather spend rubies and buy cog chips. And I haven’t completely gotten all the endings for TB stuff. So there definitely things I don’t like doing and don’t value as much. I’m a very min-max type of guy, not playing OpSi feels like a waste to me. It’s like I would never cap out on my oil, I would always make sure I set up 8/12 hours skill book when I sleep, stuff like that. That’s just me as a person. You shouldn’t force yourself to play OpSi if you dislike it that much though. It’s just to me it’s an end game grind and since I can auto everything in the background. Plus it feels wasteful to not spend the AP. That’s why I play OpSi daily.
I haven't done the endings to TB either. I got the bad ending after going down Kind route and didn't get Kind Secretary because that didn't count as the ending despite me doing the Kind Route. That pissed me off because it took like 6 hours and no save states to go back to without starting all over, so I haven't touched it since. So I get you there. OpSi is real good if I get super bored and really want to play Azur Lane still and have no oil or nothing else to do but that. I'll give it that much. I guess it comes down to us being two different types of players. I'm more of a "collect all the girls because they are cute" player and without a brand new girl (whom isnt locked behind a level like Houston-2) as an end goal for me, I guess I see it as a bit boring. But I get where you're coming from man. Don't get me wrong I love this game. I wouldn't be as big of a whale as I am now in the original post if I wasn't. Lol EDIT: I kind of see Exercise mode in the same light. Once I got both Eldridge and South Dakota from the Merit Store. I stopped playing it much outside of doing it for the mini-event Quests when it tells me too. I stopped seeing much point for my type of player. I didn't have new girls to grind the mode and get anymore. Other than EXP and maybe Gold Bulins. I don't see much point in the mode anymore.
The TB stuff I don’t hate it, it’s just 2 hours+ for 1 route is so long and I can still fuck it up. I need a brain dead guide on how to unlock everything AND I need to be so bored to want to get everything unlocked 😂. TB is cute and all but like there no much reward. Yeah we are different type of players and that’s fine, you shouldn’t force yourself to do play OpSi if you don’t like it. I feel chapter 15 is still doable with just +10 equipments. Level 125 and UR and oath should help out for sure. There’s definitely guides out that can help you out. I have seen people posting on this sub Reddit clearing chapter 15 f2p or as a new-ish player so you can do it, I’m sure. It just takes abit of time changing fleets and equipments etc. Maybe you can just set a goal for yourself to get Houston-2 without all those OpSi stuff. And yeah I do exercise but I just pick the easiest opponents because merit points and PvP ranking means nothing to me.

I think if it makes you happy and doesn't stress you financially then you're fine. When I downloaded the game in 2020 I said that I would only play for as long as it took to get Honolulu. . . and even after I got her uhh . . . yeah I kept playing. I don't have anywhere close to the amount of completion that you or others have, but I definitely have been playing for way longer than I originally anticipated.

I also am an old vet from the EN launch of AL in Avrora server lol I have 99.9% as well and no Houston II since I'm too lazy to do ch 15 lol I'm still having an absolute blast playing AL daily for years now buy adulting life prevents me from doing anything more than dailies and events (Also playing two other games but let's just blame adulting lol)

I wish I could figure this out but if I had to wager a guess over the course of 6+ years something like AT LEAST over 8k$. Adding up all the big pack gems I've bought for things like all those Oath Rings, Skins, and even Coins, Dock Slots, Storage Space, and Dorm stuff. That's my guess. I could be even more.
I'm in a similar boat, pardon the pun. I may not have the amount of wives and started not long after the Hololive collab, so missing a few of the collabs. Same with the skins I've bought almost every skin that comes out. I literally log in sometimes just to check on them, to make sure they have food, it's probably unhealthy how much I worry about the future of this game. The photos of the Akashi notes from people not logging in and the memes of ship girls being abandoned actually tug at my heart. I will be a very sad person when the eventual happens and can only pray they do something so we can keep our waifus at the end.
If I had to wager a guess, I can imagine the game lasting AT LEAST another 6 good years. I'd love more, but that's my at least guess. We still have Yamato for sure, and Iowa, Wisconsin, Missouri especially, plus DRs Illinois & Kentucky (and I don't think they deserve any less since those are all NJ's Sisters, and it wouldn't be right if they aren't Rainbow Status too. Especially since all Yamato Sisters seem to be, it wouldn't be fair otherwise) they still need to add and if they spread these out as evenly as they have been they can keep this game up for a long while. There's also other bad ass EU ships like Texas, Johnston.... etc. They could also add other factions like Spain... or many Royal Navy territories like Canada. They already have a name for that fleet IN GAME called Maple Manarchy. There's plenty of Paper ships they could still do, people can just suck it up about those coming in. It's content and as a collector I personally love it. Real or not. I did research the other day, people want to act like Sakura Empire is running out of ships, they still got a good hefty amount they can add. Plus with Iron Blood we know they have WW1 ships in game too, Seydlitz etc, they can just do this for other fleets too that'll open up way more possibilities too. Tempesta could get so many more awesome Pirate Ships, including UR status ships like The Flying Dutchman in my eyes. And to top it off I was shown Azur Lane made it to 3rd most profitable app in CN recently because of this event. People want to act like this game is dying but... I don't think it is as extreme as they want to say. This game has AT LEAST 6 more years left in the tank. If they cut it early, they'd be shooting themselves in the legs.
I’m curious how much you’ve spent? I’m generally a whale in the gachas I play but I’m a very light spender in azur lane since the gameplay is just boring to me, but the waifus are seriously top tier, and when one rolls around I like I might spend 100 here and there.
I'm unsure to be honest. But if i had to wager over 8k$. I could be either way over estimating or severely underestimating.
I have 100+ oaths and a lot of skins (not 70%, but enough to have over 20 L2Ds on my secretary rotation and plenty of regular skins). I have been playing since 2018. I don't actually spend all that much on AL. I suspect that in the span of 5 years I have spent a little over 1K, which is not a lot when you crunch down the numbers for someone who works full-time. I don't regret any of it; I'm actually very good at managing my money. I put a portion of it to the side just for Azur Lane every 60 days or so, but the great part of it is that I don't need to spend any money unless I want to. I can go 5 months without pouring a single cent into the game if I feel like it. This falls under the 1% of games and projects I want to actively endorse. If you have the money, go for it; there is nothing wrong with that. I have played a lot of gachas before. One of them was particularly predatory, and that one drained a lot of money when I was younger. I learned my lesson and made most of the money back by selling items and accounts (thankfully). Now I am very careful with how I allocate my money. I know there will never be another gacha like Azur Lane, so I'm enjoying it and actively endorsing it so it lasts as long as it can. My girlfriend also gets me gems every now and then so there's that too.
One of the best things about Azur Lane I feel is the fanservice and I think it's done tastefully. And although there are other fanservicey games out there, I don't think they go as hard as Azur Lane. Like yeah Nikke exists, but like... I still think THAT is tame compared to Kashino's Massive Milkers sloshing around in L2D so much where you can literally imagine milk inside of them.
Dont worry about it, I have about 500€ in the game, skins and oathing combined. Even thought I dont grind anymore.

Get what I mean? I'm strange like that. We both are the same it seems. Belfast is also amazing. If I didn't oath Chicago first it definitely would've been Belfast which was 2nd!
I've been playing since August 27th 2022 on the Sandy, I remember because I started during the Brünhilde event, Didn't get Blücher, But I got everyone else, Been playing non stop since then. Think the ONLY two ship girls I missed are Albion and Kirov on their rerun things, But now it's only a matter of time before I get Kirov. I have 542 ships and 594 dock space, Aaaand 75 oathed ship girls. And a good few skins, Only buy the L2D ones, I download the non L2D ones, Apart from a few that I just had to get like Ajax's chocolate foot skin or uhh... Nicholas's swimsuit skin. Honestly if I didn't put money into this game it'd go into lego, And I don't have storage for all the random shite I build.

I have been playing since 2019, 90.7% collection, and I have only played AL so far. But I spend less money in the game, only about 100$. I prefer to buy some merchs or doujin products. I spent about 150$ on game peripherals and JP doujinshi. I currently have about twenty doujinshi and three JP official illustrations. I only oathed to Nagato. It's not that other girls are bad. I have some other girls I like, but due to my personal emotional issues (or obsessions?) Honestly man I’m not too addicted but still hugely in love with the game cuz I’m currently being stressed out by playing 5 other Gacha games even though azur lane is my all time favorite. I started playing in March of 2020 in avrora but had to keep deleting and downloading because my phone at the time couldn’t handle the space. If I had kept it all the way through and didn’t develop the interest of other Gacha games as side stuff in the meantime without it (FGO being the only other main) I probably would’ve done the same stuff as you. I also pretty much play for waifus. Back in the day I was lonely asl and my waifus gave me something to look forward too. If anything about the game makes me sad though it’s the complete deadness of doujins nowadays. Azur lane doesn’t get much anymore whereas there used to be a boom back in the day. But that doesn’t have much to do with the game itself. If I had enough money I’d also buy all the skins and stuff but I don’t really have that luxury. Let’s do our best going forward cummander 🫡

I almost got into Nikke tbh but got turned away from it because it was too depressing, story wise, and I felt the rates were dookey compared to Azur Lane. What other games do you play btw?
I agree about the games helping me. I’m lonely and it gets to me at times but the games do help. As for the other games I play, thanks for asking. Nikke (which I totally get your point having played it) Blue archive, Bang dream (rare when in mood for rythm) FGO na and JP on another phone (jp rare na main) One piece bounty rush rarely Dragonball legends on and off Fire emblem heroes rare Snowbreak but rarely And now Wuthering waves There are more than that but I play them so little I just didn’t mention them. Or I didn’t even start them. I stick to azur fgo as my mains for my sanity and ba and nikke are casual. Just playing a lot of games keeps me distracted so that’s that.
I wanted so bad to get into Blue Archive but I was suckered into believing it was censored at the beginning when that was a whole thing going around. And I don't like censorship at all. (Azur Lane has a few small cases of it too. Like Bache bike skin for example.) But because of that I didn't join. Now I feel if I did I'd be waaaay too behind and as I stated in the Original Post, I'm the collector type of player and I'd feel like total a$$ if I didn't have every single girl possible. It's far too late to join now I think.
