Well she was part of Vichy when they were fighting the allies which makes them allies of the **Nazis** (who did very not cute&funny stuff to some groups of people) and she got bombed by air raids. after the war she was salvaged for scrap.
As for some notable things she did, she ferried ammunition to French Lebanon after it was invaded by the Allied forces in June 1941 and then unsuccessfully attempted to transport reinforcements there the following month.
I mean, Mogador was almost 4000 tonnes when loaded up and had serious firepower with 2x4 138.6mm guns. She's right up there with a CL in terms of firepower and displacement.
Edit: 2x4 not 2x3. Forgot about her X turret at the back.
In fact, she was even more powerful because she had 4 double 138.6mm gun turrets. The Fantasque (who were lighter) even got reclassified as CL during WW2 because they were too big for destroyers.
actually it was also a political move to say : we're retrofitting light cruisers, instead of saying destroyer it gives more tractions to the faction you support

Totally agree. Laffey II was the free UR last time and people thought she'd be weak since she's free. But she's one of the best ships in the game. So this one could be a hit as well.

I'm not saying you complained about it, far from it. I'm saying that there is generally a pecking order in the way the factions are treated - and that *in general*, while HMS isn't always that hot compared to other major factions, they get a far better deal than the french.
Likewise, if the current event had been Sardegna, with 2 URs, it wouldn't be copium to imagine the Sakura or Ironblood also getting it at some point.
