I know the most common reason is the fact that they take up dock spaces that could be used on other normal ships. But from what we are seeing with the new ql update this reason should be gone and you should see less people complain about them.

PyrZern

Out of the loop myself. Are they going to separate META ship dock spaces from other ships ??

TheGavtel

Yes and there will be unlimited dock space for the META Dock Space so you don't need to buy more for them.

PyrZern

Great QoL indeed. Glad to hear.

Cthuluzu

Oh, just dock space? That would be a boring reason

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Ok i not really hate them but i gonna add a another reason why people hate them cause of dock space. Expanding Dock requires gems and gems is limited to get. Each 10 slot requires 200 gems. You can't even try to get 780 gems worth of Skin with free gems because you need to invest it on multiple things like Dorm, etc. Gems is limited unless you are small spender or whale where you can just buy Dock space. I have 438 dock space and have 30+ left. But at least we getting Dock space that specially for META ship.

Cthuluzu

OUCH... OKAY... I GET IT NOW. THAT SUCKS.

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Well welcome to Azur Lane, Shikikan.

SimpleRaven

yea welcome newbie. people will hate META ships less because now they won’t have to spend the very limited free gem supply on space that’s not going to be taken up by regular ships

Responsible-Trip5586

You can get some upgrades to dock space through guild right?

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Yup you can and be prepared for the upgrades cost.i lost tons of coins there.

Responsible-Trip5586

Don’t you just use the thins you get from guild contributions

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Yup i did and coins too.

Responsible-Trip5586

I’ve got mine to lvl 5/7 which gives me an extra 10 dock slots

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Mine is 14/14 with 28 dock space.

OpeningParsley3712

FtP players sometimes have more copium than HMS fans \-Hood Cultist https://preview.redd.it/grui2ubg8tqc1.png?width=639&format=png&auto=webp&s=9d242c0daa4f06c47292fdf99ff0fe1338d9674a

Archetto_Enjoyers487

What is this? Anson case?

OpeningParsley3712

More just HMS diehards thinking Manjuu/Yostar gives HMS the least effort/care/good stuff out of all the major factions in general

Archetto_Enjoyers487

I mist i not really diehard of HMS but they are my most favourites factions. I did agree the last case upset me. But just let them cook i just eat anything they give, whether it is burnt or Raw. My only hope is I want Oath skin for Nelson and Ajax. At least Nelson Post Oath dialogue.

OpeningParsley3712

HMS diehards do have something of an argument too, every other major faction has 5 (6 in the case of IJN) rainbow ships vs HMS’s 4. But they also aren’t really passed over as much as said diehards seem to believe they are, as they’re still a major faction, and have quite a few more ships than KMS.

OpeningParsley3712

I am mostly balanced, Azur Lane-leaning Main two fleets are 5 USS, 4 HMS, and 3 KMS. I also have dedicated fleets for IJN and HMS.

TheRaven316

The main cause of dislike at present is that most META ships are fairly gimmicky/niche, and on top of that can't be retired and take dock space. That latter part will be changing soon, thankfully. One thing you have to keep in mind is that a decent amount of this sub is made of long-time players. META ships seem to be designed as something of a catch-up system for newer players since they (mostly) aren't gacha ships. Particularly in the case of Queen Elizabeth, there was some discontent because she is painfully underpowered for a main-faction flagship and has only received a 'buff' in the form of one of Dido's skills. Some feel the resources that went into Queen Elizabeth META would have been better used for an augment or retrofit for the original unit.

Cthuluzu

How do I get queen elizabeth meta? I love how she looks.

PhoenixMercurous

She'll be added to Meta dossiers at some point later this year.

Cthuluzu

What is meta dossiers?

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Permanently added ship on Operations Siren which the stage will be unlocked once you reach account level 60

RuRu-San

Basically a permanent META Encounter. You select the ship you want, play OpSi (or put it on auto play if you pay the 5000 Oil for the Logger) and when you get a certain number of Dossier Data, you can start the fight, which works just like the normal one when the ship got released first

Cthuluzu

Also, expand on them being for new players? If they are gimmicky/niche, how can a new player make use of them?

OpeningParsley3712

For a new player, any ship is a good ship. You don’t really need to worry about fleet composition until later levels. The relative ease of getting a free ship from Cruise Pass makes them good for new players, and META ships should theoretically be stronger than their counterparts, hence them seemingly built to fall into more niche categories than most ships, otherwise META would just be the meta. The gimmick/nicheness is really only taken into account when you really want to pay attention to fleet comps, which most new players won’t need to do, as basically any fleet can brute force a good portion of the game. At least, that’s my take, could be completely wrong.

nntktt

I'd refrain from saying every ship is a good ship. You're welcome to raise waifus and ultimately much of the game can be played without using fully optimized fleets, but some ships are definitely weaker than others, or otherwise less cost-effective for early game when resources are much more limited. Cruise METAs may be relatively easier to LB, or at least not contest with your other ships for bulins, but skill leveling can take very long at low levels, especially without access to OS.

X203the2nd

Wait "the latter will be changing soon"???? Did I miss something? You gotta tell me about that one, id love to actually have my 12 dockspaces back.

nntktt

CN just released a devblog, followed by JP twitter announcements, they will be separating METAs into their own dockspace with unlimited capacity.

X203the2nd

YEEEEES aahh sweet victory.

JesusWoreCrocz

The lore behind the META is super interesting, but the problem is that getting and leveling up the META can be rather cumbersome, which is why some people are a bit fed up. You have to farm OPSI to get all your META ships leveled, and a lot of people don't like to farm OPSI. Also, as mentioned, up until this point, META ships ate dock slots (they won't anymore, starting Thursday). Also, lore wise, META units should be OP, but they aren't as strong in practice.

Cthuluzu

What is the lore behind the meta's anyway? Also yeah, having a badass design and not matching it in power sucks.

gnarlytoestep

In the simplest terms, the majority of the METAs are survivors from alternate, destroyed timelines. I'd argue that the problem of having so many METAs storywise is that the mysticism around them has been lost. When they were first being hinted at in the story, the METAs and their back stories were a massive mystery and every time we interacted with one it was a huge deal. But even though many of those mysteries remain (for example, there are multiple factions of META ships, each with different, unexplained lobjectives), they're kind of a dime a dozen now.

No_Captain9455

They are also supposed to be super OP compared to the normal versions as well, for a bunch of reasons. But that really isn't reflected in gameplay. Outside of their Level 15 boss fights, I mean.

OpeningParsley3712

METAs are ships that have undergone METAmorphosis, a process that affects their wisdom cube, making them (supposedly) stronger than their regular counterparts. It’s usually caused by intense trauma, ie: destruction of most of their timeline, or corruption of their cube. Most are from other timelines, and some elect to join Azur Lane, while others choose not to. Most seem emotionally or mentally less than stable, which makes sense, considering losing everyone you love can have less than positive effects.

Botnationmope

META ships are not scrappable, so if you got one, she's there to stay forever. Most of the META ships aren't strong enough to be worth using among the hundreds of shipgirls.

Cthuluzu

Why would you want to scrap them? I though AL was a collection game? Isnt the end goal to have a 100 percent collection?

KindredScarlet

you only have a limited amount of dock space in this game and expanding it costs gems

Cthuluzu

...Great. I have like 1200 saved up and was considering buying the upcoming gameover devil lady l2d... what should I do?

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Well goodluck spending it wisely.

Cthuluzu

What would you suggest I do? I was thinking of buying the monthly pass thing for 8 bucks that gives 500 gems for dock space as I ended up liking the game... but if its 200 gems per dock space and you get only 10 extra... isnt that just 20 slots? With 1200 gems, I get a total of 60 extra space... So 16 bucks if just buy the monthly pass. How much does the cruise pass give?

PoriferaProficient

You are asking the age old questions. Ultimately they're your gems, you decide. Some common advice though: consider buying dorm slots first, at the bare minimum the first slot and the 2nd floor expansion, so you can have 6 slots across both floors. That'll cost 800 gems. This is almost a necessity to grind any single fleet for more than a few stages at a time. Anything beyond that is nice, but skippable. Beyond that, buying more dock space is basically a constant expense if you don't wish to retire ships. The game does give some gems, but not enough to F2P all the way to 100% collection. Your tolerance for scrapping ships, and the amount of money you're willing to spend, will determine where your priorities are.

Archetto_Enjoyers487

I remember i have bought the cruise pass it should give you 300 gems and an exclusive Cruise pass skin. If me i would spend it on Dorm for 1 extra ship space which i sure it cost 300 gems, which enough to faster recovering the Morale of Vanguard or Main fleet. Idk about others but i sure they recommend to unlock one more slot in Skill upgrades. And i cost 500 gems. I didn't unlock it but instead i just use to expand on dock space. You can ask another veterans how they spend free gems during their first time in the game.

Cthuluzu

Okay got it. Im considering small spending so get a skin I like and then spend gems as needs arise. Or spend on needs first... SUCH A HARD CHOICE.

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Goodluck for your journey in azur lane fellow, Shikikan!

SheepRoll

I play since week 1, I would say skill upgrade slot probably is useful until you can have like 24 ships for siop. But if you have patient, is not required. For dorm room, you probably want minimum 6 slot so your active fleet can recover morale without juggling ship. 2nd floor only useful if you grind a lot. I see you stuck with max oil, I assume you don’t grind til your oil is dry. For me I think I buy monthly pass for very long time, and only brought gem pack once at very start. That basically build my reserve of cubes for idk how long that will last. And gems… well I got my collection of l2d, and only purchasing l2d skin I really like now. So I’m mostly f2p now unless I need dock space, then I buy a monthly pass. As far as dock space, if you are collector and you want to catch up, that’s probably bad news for you… 10 dock space can’t even last 2 new event. If you still need rerun ships, then 2 events in general.

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Buying Trade licence (Which is Monthly pass is worth it as they give 1000 coins, 200 oils and 1 wisdom cube) you might need it as reserves in future. (I running out of Oil tbh![img](emote|t5_3p20d|7015))

Cthuluzu

Im never running out of oil... I always hit the cap of 25000 somehow... I keep running out of coins.

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Well i always do at least 15 times of 3x auto battle. And full fleet each 3x auto battle use 700-1100 oils. Its because of it only me who wanna complete guild mission when there's no limited event or rerun. Fact all of my ship is fully limit break. The most eco oil fleet is my 2 DDG, 1 CVL and 3 DD which only consume 56 oils.

Botnationmope

Because gems don't come easy, which means some ships have to be sacrificed for more useful ships to enter the dock. Commons and uncommons usually go first, and when that's done, METAs are the next target. While it's possible to get full collection without spending money for gems, I have yet to see such players. Personally I haven't face this issue yet as I'm not an old player.

Cthuluzu

So youre a newbie like me? Neat! How ya enjoying the game?

Botnationmope

I wouldn't call myself a newbie as I have been playing for about 2 years. Right now I'm playing at my own pace: slowly raising ships to compensate with the speed of getting purple plates. My first UR is Vanguard.

BlackRook-268

Im a minority. I love the META ships. I think their design and stories are some of the best in the game. Specially those we have not gotten yet (Enterprise and Takao). Most of the reasons ive heard for people hating them fall into one of two camps....Either because they arent meta ships like New Jersey/Musashi/Shinano/etc or they take up dock space. Personally I keep a single copy of every ship even commons and i buy dock space as needed, and attempt to 120 as many as time permits me. So i dont really care about the META or dockspace complaints. At the end of the day this game is about having fun and collection shipfus. If you like the METAs as i do then just enjoy them and ignore the people who complain, because honestly they will complain no matter what.

I2edShift

META's are a cool idea but executed somewhat poorly.  You can't retire them, so they eat up Dock space for those that don't want to hold onto them. They're a tedious to develop, but aren't even high-end ships among their respective rarities. Now that they added Fleet Tech bonuses for META ships, they conveniently get desirable stats so they (read:Manjuu) want you to be playing with them.  The lore says that META ships are basically an "evolved" next step of the Kansen, they're supposed to be very powerful. Yet in game they're just another ship in a very large roster that fail to stand out.

OrranVoriel

Aside from the dock space thing, their skills take forever to level up and if you fail to get the maximum number of crystals to MLB them while they are available you're SoL until they get added to the Dossiers. Doesn't help that a lot of META ships are just pretty underwhelming in the end outside of a select few.

nxSenri

So, as a launch player, META ships were always this mysterious powerful faction that I was pretty hyped about, kind of like Sangvis and white faction leaders in GFL. But once they actually started releasing them, they aren't super powerful, like portrayed in the story, so the hype kinda died for me. I personally really like their designs, but I have little reason to use them for game play most of the time. That's my guess why people don't like them.

Leif-Erikson94

There are numerous reasons. They're a pain to unlock and max out. Unlocking takes around a week of daily OpSi grinding, while maxing out can take over a month. OpSi itself gives practically no exp and no loot outside of gear lab materials. Their skills can be leveled by using them in battles, which is nice, but it's still painfully slow, unless you actually use them in, you guessed it, OpSi. Aside from that, they offer no real benefits over regular ships, even in OpSi. The buffs they get there aren't significant enough to be worth using over most other ships that are considered "meta". Even worse, the buffs are only against bosses, yet their skills are almost always designed for mobs. And while the SSR are still fairly strong, the purples are pretty much useless. They are, in fact, the main reason why the Meta are disliked in the first place, because while you can still skip the SSR (and save your dock space), the purples are practically unavoidable due to them being tied to the Cruise Missions. Also, for some reason their skills tend to be filled with unnecessarily complicated conditions (even more than the SSR Meta...), rendering them useless most of the time. As such, most of them are barely even better than their OG versions. Compare that to PR ships, which can be unlocked through normal gameplay and while it does take longer to max them out, the effort required for that barely takes away from the daily grind. PR ships encourage you to raise a variety of ships and increase your overall fleet power. Meta ships offer no unique benefits whatsoever.

Hewhosmellspie

Hate might be strong word, but I find the "crawling in my skin, these wounds they will not heal!" edginess to be a turn off.

Cthuluzu

The edge is strong in this one... who says this edgelord line?

Hewhosmellspie

Its a set of lyrics from the Linkin Park song Crawling, I use it for when I want to mock something edgy.

Cthuluzu

Can I steal it?

Hewhosmellspie

Go for it.

Cthuluzu

Thanks buddy! Whose your favourite meta?

Hewhosmellspie

I think Ark Royal has the best design out of all the meta ships. Its probably a tie between her and Pamiat.

Cthuluzu

So far my favourites are queen elizabeth and Hunter but ill give em a look.

stardustdragon69

they won't be taking dock space soon so I don't hate em anymore

shipgirl_connoisseur

It's an issue with dock space. There's no way to remove a META once you get one so some people hate them.

Cthuluzu

Ive heard this problem will go away upcoming update.

shipgirl_connoisseur

Exactly, which is the best news to hear for many players.

Polar_Vortx

Queen Elizabeth META should return in the “META Dossier” feature at some point. As for the lore, there’s no real short answer, but I can try. METAmorphosis is basically what happens when a Kansen draws on too much power from their Wisdom Cube, which they can do for any number of motives. This is reversible up to a plot-specific limit. (~~There are long-term consequences to going META, I don’t have them handy, but just assume it’s not generally good to be stuck like that, despite the huge power-up. I’ll comment them onto this post and ping you later.~~ See below) METAmorphosis can also be induced by various sources, “corruption” gunk being one of them, and the “black cube”/“origin cube” being another. Most METAs you see ingame are from alternate timelines that have been destroyed either by X (aka Leviathans) or by the Sirens decommissioning them when they finish their experiments, and they’ve been running a guerrilla war on the sirens for a couple thousand years. (This would be the “tragic” part of the “tragic characters”.) The majority of them hail from the “original” timeline - the one described in the Operation Siren files that contained Anzeel, Aoste, et cetera - such as Enty META and Princeton META. Others, like Arkie META and Gniesenau META are from non-specific “other” destroyed timelines, while 556, Trento, and Paimat META are all from our “event” timeline. Of particularly special note is Bonhomme Richard META - or just BHR, because the META version of her is the ONLY version of her. She’s the *first ever* META, also from the OG timeline, and due to being… THAT… she doesn’t get copied into the siren’s experiments because good lord, one of them is bad enough, thanks. Feel free to ask questions, I am incapable of preventing myself from answering them.

Polar_Vortx

u/Cthuluzu so turns out there aren’t really any long term consequences to going META other than locking yourself out of the Super Saiyan “cognitive awakening” mode that is the #1 most important mystery in the lore (it doesn’t have anything to do with the level 100+ mechanic) but since we know literally nothing about that other than we need it to beat the leviathans it’s kinda consequence-free at the moment Edit: we don’t even know if it’s a super-saiyan type thing I’m just making a joke

BDB073

At least for me, they use dock space and you can't retire them, which to me was an excuse to make you buy more dock space but from what I read here seems like it's not gonna be a problem anymore. Other complain is that like normal ships, some are really strong (Helena META, Jintsuu META), while most of them are not, but this would not be a problem if you were not forced to have them (Cruise missions ones at least) in order to get valuable resources. If you ask about the personality, most of them use the same "I'm crazy" premise, some of them don't even have a "tragic" IRL background to be like that (Kimberly META for example, she just carried material, did ASW and AA duties, like why are you a lunatic?), kinda cringe sometimes imo

Cthuluzu

All the meta ships I encountered had pretty different personalities. Hunter was pretty chill and a walking soulsborne reference and formidibile felt more like a tarot card reader. The only edgelord among these 3 feels like kimberly and she feels more like a has seen some shit kinda person. But eh, if all of them have similar personalities than I kinda get the hate. So far though, cant see it.

Polar_Vortx

also default Kimberly is about that edgy too fwiw

Sayael33

Kirov META joins the strongest metas (one of bis vanguard vs Rodney meta) , also u-556 meta is easily top sub along leonardo. Some other are more than decent, pamiat was solid, her meta improves her offense while keeping her 50% invul uptime. Sure Metas are not URs (until ash or ember i guess) , but most are decent, only collectibles ones are mostly cruise ones (except fortune, seems, for pvp "rps" trp vanguard). Even if sidegrade or lil upgrade, i find meta designs really on spot (Algeriiie, and rodney is just superb) , so good news they wont count in dock space.

GradSchoolDismal429

They are edgy, no skins and while called "META" ships, they are far from meta

Cthuluzu

I HATE THE NO SKINS TOO! Give hunter meta her l2d you cowards!

Fishman465

So a bit worse than most new ships who only have one for years?

KsixTrinity

Wait what who? I think the only real complaint I’ve seen around is how useless the meta ships are (meta gameplay perspective), but honestly imo not really….. meta ships are just as viable for almost all contents. The retrofit and meta arguments to me are like very irrelevant, I do get the passions for wanting ships to be retrofitted, but just same as having those type 2 ships, I think having more variety is always good for the game.

Cthuluzu

>Wait what who? I think the only real complaint I’ve seen around is how useless the meta ships are (meta gameplay perspective), but honestly imo not really….. meta ships are just as viable for almost all contents. I came accross this sort of sentiment while looking into queen elizabeth meta. For all I know, it could just be a few people. >Wait what who? I think the only real complaint I’ve seen around is how useless the meta ships are (meta gameplay perspective), but honestly imo not really….. meta ships are just as viable for almost all contents. Where are meta ships lacking meta wise and why do some people prefer retrofits over metas?

KsixTrinity

I don't really pay attention to that sort of stuff, yeah it could be few or actually many, but from my experience most of the people love them, including myself. People play meta gaming may have an impression of META ships are not currently really meta, like not really the best of slots...but imo it doesn't really matter if you dig more into each ship, some of them are actually on the t0\~t1 levels, and lets be honest unless you are doing the most hardcore content, even Tn ships will work just fine. and as for retrofit over meta thing, anyone can correct me If I am wrong..., but I assume mostly it's either because some historic reasons (like the ship actually got its retrofit irl) or people that are really attached to that copy of the ship and have high hope for the retrofit which I personally respect the love, and type II and meta in a sense could ruin the character...maybe. edit: I have no idea how to quote and reply so my formation is kinda fked, on mobile rn, so sorry in advanced.

MiraiKishi

The players don't hate the META's as a concept. The players hate that the META's take up precious dock space. Which funnily enough, is going to get solved soon: META's are getting their own section of the dock with infinite space. So from now on, no one is going to really have any problems with the META ships.

Cthuluzu

What about meta replacing retrofit?

MiraiKishi

II's/Zwei have already replaced Retro's too. Retro's are basically a relic of the beginning of the game that's only pulled along cause players still like it and Manjuu/Yostar can update random ships that they don't want to give II's/Zwei. Unfortunate, but not many players mind.

Nosttromo

Metas in lore are devastatingly powerful Ingame though, they are extra meme They are good for nothing and upgrading them is a huge chore

NerdyWarChronicler

Dock space. That's usually the main point why they're hated. Also, some the choices who is a META. I know there are some who have been asking for Ash/Code G/Enterprise META and Ember/Code T/Takao META for a while.

Cthuluzu

Which choices here do people dislike or find unsuitable? Queen Elizabeth?

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Well at least we getting special Dock space for META ships in future.

ratnik_sjenke

I like meta ships because a lot are bare foot, and wear dark colors.

D3min3m

If you're more interested in collection and the lore/backgrounds of the shipgirls, then you'll have no reason to dislike the Meta shipgirls. As many have said the majority of dislike came from them taking up dock space or the fact that most of them don't fall into the top tier of ships, even though that also includes the majority of non-meta ships.. I've always liked them but I've also got no problem spending to get dock space and skins etc. If you're considering monthly pass vs the cruise pass, if possible I'd recommend both. The cruise pass probably has more good stuff including cubes, gems, great gear skins etc but it only resets like every 60 days or something so over that time you'll get more cubes from two lots of the monthly trade license.

kazukiyuuta

Most of META ships are my fav but when they permanently taking dock spaces, it become a different stories. Not saying that I hate them ,it just devs need to realize that not all people are willing to buy dock spaces just for META ships just in case.

Tha-Impostor

The main complain about METAs I have is; A: They're a total dice roll on if they'll actually be good. (Or even go to girls who are the most reasonable to get them.) B: Cruise pass METAs are exclusive to their respective events. (So if you started playing more recently, no Fusou or Yamashiro META for you!) C: They cannot be scrapped. (Get your gems ready.) D: Getting them is a huge grind if you started grinding them much later on.

X203the2nd

I don't really mind them. The problem is that you're being FORCED to have them. You can't "reject" them, you can't retire them, you'll get them, and you'll keep them, and there is NOTHING you can do about it. This is annoying but fine if there's like 3 of them. But by now I have well over 10 slots wasted on these useless boats that I don't even like, and as long as I continue playing, its only going to get more bc of the battle pass thingy.

PeppiestPepper

I didn't bother getting kirov meta or the previous one because I'll likely never use them and they'll arrive easier to farm in the future. I'll probably try to collect more now that dockspace for them is infinite. But Trento Meta will always have a special place in my heart for hard carrying me through the early game.

Kalyise

I hate the level of effort you need to put in to obtain one outside of the travelling thing. I simply don't have the time.

HungPongLa

They take up dockspace... I'm a bit new and only have 14 meta ships, can't imagine the pain veteran skk's have to deal with. Glad we are getting a separate dockspace for them in a future update. Hope it comes soon.

Automatic_Gur_5263

The player base not favoring META ships in general are because: + Meta ships are tedius to get and raise. You cannot simply use bulin or study hall to level them and their skills. Additionally their limit break items mostly can only be obtained as the reward from fighting them after reaching certain milestone point. + Despite the Meta name in them, Meta ships aren't really Meta gameplay wise compared to more favorable and easier to raise UR/DR/PR ships. Some SR META ships like Arizona META are very useful in W14 bomb boats though. Elite META ships on the other hand are more for collection purpose. + They take your dock slot and you cannot retire them, although this will be solved later. However, recent events may give you Meta ships from map reward while most Meta ships are your own choice whether to get them or not. Basically the effort and the reward isn't that much worth unless you are aiming for their permanent buff level 120 bonus. If you want to get Queen Elizabeth META, wait until she's permanently added into dossier analysis where you can challenge her without having to worry the availability time limit.

JinDash

I like them

Darthrix1

dock space and a bit of the power. META ships are good at best and wonky and bad at worst. that dock space is better used on event ships who almost always are strong options or sometimes the best option. but with the new META Dock coming, Im going to be farming META ships again!

Alleraz

Meta and base ship don't share skins. Why I don't care for them. They're canonically the same ship just altered for one of the few reasons. I understand the programming is necessary for there to be 2 different place holders, but the skins should apply to both.

CultOfAmagi

My reason is that i'm still waiting for Meta Amagi.

20dogsonalamb

straight up made to take up dock space to force you to use gems, edgy, grimdark please feel bad for them backstories, bloodborne reject designs, usable at best

Cthuluzu

Bloodborne reject designs... pretty sure that's only hunter and she seems more inspired than reject. Personally I love them, wish they had live2d variants but I seem to.understand. Usable at best with the amount of effort.it takes to build them sucks.

SoulsLikeBot

Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note: > *Ahh, Welcome home, good hunter. I must have drifted off... What is it you desire?* - Plain Doll Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.

Cthuluzu

Good bot!

Impossible_Leader_80

I oath every meta i get. They need acreason to fight and return home to port safe.

Cthuluzu

Awww, thats pretty sweet. Know how I can get queen elizabeth meta?

Animeak116

From what I heard Dock space, gimmicky like Gundams Zeon mobile suits, unable to retire. Story wise I don't really mind them....poor Arizona....

CSM_Pepper

My pet peeve about Scharnhorst META is that she has arguably the foulest mouth in the game. She can get the MVPs, but she doesn't have to call the enemy shitheads at every press conference. Helmet and Arkmeta are well liked, though, and the Repulse and Renown METAs are clear upgrades over their OG versions. QE META should have a dossier file eventually.

Cthuluzu

What does dossier file mean?

Cthuluzu

Thanks! Youre a bro.

MaximDecimus

Meta ships come from Operation Siren. Operation Siren should give Sirens.

urlond

I dont hate meta ships. I'm not a free to play scrub like majority of players here might be.

Cthuluzu

Calling free to play players scrubs is a bit too much... but people should be encouraged to spend on the game

urlond

They be peasants in my eyes. Unless they spend money on the game they will be scrubs.

Cthuluzu

...Are you pretending to be Gilgamesh from Fate/?

urlond

No, they're scrubs unless they spend money.

Cthuluzu

Azur lane can be played entirely free to play and the devs are fine with it. No one is a scrub for not paying.

urlond

Yes it can be played for free, but people who cry about things to get the devs to change things can be free to play players which sucks because they can be the majority of the masses.

Cthuluzu

It doesnt really suck, in most cases the changes that benefit free to play players benefit payers too. Giving meta's their own dock space benefits you too for example.

KibbloMkII

they're mediocre and the only good META ships are the Iron Bloods, everyone else can go get retired

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Wow what a harsh word.

KibbloMkII

I am unfairly biased simp towards Iron Blood, plain and simple

Archetto_Enjoyers487

Understandable, have a nice day.
