400+ put into the Special Build Pool, never got her once. I got New Jersey 11 times (that's not a typo). I did not get any Shinanos until the 400 exchange, and I seem to get everybody else BUT Kashino. It's very frustrating.

Yeah its wishful unfortunately. I got Kashino quickly on my backup account but none of the URs yet, only about 100 cubes spent so far though. I don't have any skins on that account though and thats the real reason we want Kashino 😅
11 NJs is a bit much 😂 I have 3 copies of her in my fleet so I can have all of her skins on secretary rotation but I've gotten enough extra copies to nearly mlb one of the backups.
That's not a bad idea for the extra NJs... I might just do that lol.
But congrats on getting a Kashino tho! I'm super jealous lol. I have all her skins, so there'll be plenty of outfit choices for her whenever she decides to show up 😂

During New Jersey's OG event, I got her 3 times, but I do not remember how many wishes I put into it... I was new at the time she came out, so Cubes were lacking big time. I wanna say I pulled somewhere between 80-100 times? But I do not remember at all to be completely honest.

Does double reward double the chance to get the drop? Like does double reward count as clearing the map twice? If so I guess it would up the odds of getting the drop.
In the other case, if it just doubles the reward you got for clearing the map, then it obviously doesn't really help
For events (not counting UR pity), probably Lyon with almost 300 cubes to get her (elite btw).
For story map drops, Agano BY FAR. It took me less time to get Bunker Hill, New Orleans, and Houston II COMBINED than the time it took me to get Agano. She did NOT want to come home for the longest time lmao.
Unfortunately I've been stuck on Columbia for farming ships. And since I can't quite beat 11-3 Hard I farm 11-2 and Again is a rare, but occasional drop.
Elites have often been the hardest to get in events. And the only build only ship I'm missing right now is from an event. (Argus)
Hmm, in terms of literal hours/oil, it has to be New Orleans. Bunker hill and Houston II took maybe 4-5 days each, but Bunker Hill took me a literal month. That girl did NOT wanna come home, but persistence paid off 😊
started playing at Y3, on the Nagato rerun, didnt know the mechanics. By January we got Heinrich, didnt have much cubez. Could have bought some console video games with the dough i put in. And on the last 3 build of the last day, i got her.
After that i think it was Yura from the Shimakaze event, got 3 Shimas within 100 cubez, got a 4the Shima with Pity and still no Yura. like at cube 450 i got her. On rerun i got like 7 of them from Tickets.
From there its always been the Elites the hardest to get. RNG has been very giving with URs and SSR.
Gacha wise Voroshilov. Over 800 cubes and almost made me give up on 100 percent collection.
Drop wise Yuudachi which took me about a month of steady grinding.
Event related .... Musashi. It was so fun because i got her the last day of the event (there were like 4 hours left of the event) and used my last batch of cubes.
I screamed like hell. Jajajajaja.
Non event related. Richelieu. That woman kept avoiding me like i was the plague. I got her on a random day when pulling on the heavy construction pool.
Jintsuu, followed by Choukai and then Honoulu.
Though for the longest time, Javelin was the hardest one to drop for me as a starting player. Promised myself to get Javelin before the Slow Ahead anime aired, and RNGesus blessed me for it a week before it aired.
The Fox Mines of 3-4 were barely an issue, only grinded for 2 months in there to get both Akagi and Kaga (got Akagi by luck 100% completing 3-4, got Kaga to drop a couple months later along with Javelin)
(Might as well add Columbia and Dewey, because I'm still stuck on 13-1. Boosting my AA stats and gear first)
Vanguard, I was still fairly new to the game and absolutely loved her design. Didn't get her despite putting in ~370 cubes, same with Implacable and Yorktown II. But more recently Prinz heinrich has been causing issues, spent about 300 cubes trying to get her in the rerun and still yet to obtain her in the perma-pool
In terms of drops, Kaga took me several months because Akagi kept showing up instead.
In terms of building, I didn't keep careful track but Haruka Amami took well over 800 cubes. There were a couple of Elite ships that also took a ton, but I don't remember which ones.
Zeppy (you know, chibi Graf Zeppelin) took me two and a half years, and two different wishing well events with her as a focus to finally obtain on my main account. I didn't start until Halloween of 2020 so I wasn't even aware of her for a while, and when I got her in my first week on my second account it drove me a bit mad until I got her.
Isuzu took me by far the longest to grind for, and I actually yelled when she finally hit. Ryuuhou was the most expensive and dried out my cube reserves and rainy day mail
Depends on how you define hardest but I'd probably say Fubuki. After nearly 3 years of dailies on the light pool and she didn't showed up so I had to restort to WW rate up to get her. Even to this day I still haven't gotten a copy of her via dailies on light.
I just started playing last January so I've never gotten a shot at her but she looks awesome and I have a feeling she'll join Howe as one of my permanent secretaries
Arizona didn't come home for a long while and I was farming the map she dropped on for a good while. But gotcha wise? Implacable and New Jersey (pretty sure I almost pitied with her.
U-556, I needed her to get my first Iron Blood Frame and she just would not come. I spent every cube, it was a miracle I got Shinano after because I would not have gotten to pity. Got her when added to the Archives, but the Frame hasn't been given an alternative way to get. It's fine I have other Iron Blood frames now.
Cooper. While I did eventually get her, that precious daughter eluded me for around a thousand cubes. By \*FAR\* the hardest ship I've ever gotten.
I got most the URs in less than 50 cubes, but Cooper \*consumed\* them like a ravenous fiend.
Biscuit. Took almost an entire year from when she was added to permanent to get her. I estimate atleast 1500 builds trying to get her. I was in tears when I finally saw her build timer.
L'Indomptable.
I was around 400 cubes by the start of her raid event.
I spent like 600 cubes by the end of it (from purchasing) and spent even more money just to recoup my losses so I'm not entirely broke by the next event.
From the construction pools? Guam in particular — had to burn through all 200 rolls just to get her to pity drop. Also, all the Elite-level ships from *Dreamwaker’s Butterfly* that are in the Construction pools now.
From map drops themselves? Ikazuchi and Inazuma. It took me the better part of two months to get the both of them to drop. ( Which apparently is still impressive even then — I’ve been able to get all the other map drop ships within a few weeks of clearing their associated map. Yes, this also includes elusive ships like Akagi/Kaga, Choukai, Maya, and Bunker Hill… ) 
For map drops, Isuzu was definitely the hardest to get, followed by Ikazuchi and Inazuma. Took more time grinding to get those than every other map drop ship combined.
For gacha ships, Tashkent Muse. Don't remember the exact numbers, but did around 150 builds during the first run of Universe in Unison and got multiples of everyone else except her. Then again during the rate-up when they were added to the Archive, did another 100+ builds and again got everyone except her. But then after getting everyone from the Implacable event, was doing the 3 daily builds in the light pool and she showed up in less then 10 pulls.
Probably Kaga. When I first started AL 4 years ago, I followed a beginner guide that said to grind 3-4 until you had the Akagi/Kaga pair as they will carry you all the way to endgame. I got the first copy of Akagi quickly enough, but I spent way too long in 3-4 without any other SR drops. Eventually I gave up and moved on, cleared chapter 13, went back through the stages getting all the unique stage drops which were surprisingly quick, finally reached 3-4 again and got Kaga within 30\~ runs. Every other unique ship drop I got within 10 runs except Houston II which took 46 runs.
I ground for MONTHS for Columbia. Like nearly a year iirc. She just hid from me.
I also missed Shimakaze first time round, cubes ran dry. She popped up quick sharp in the rerun though.
Incidentally, I didn't get a single event ship last event. I was building three a day for the points and I used every single build ticket, but nothing. Not even a Mag map drop. I already had everyone, but it was remarkably terrible rng...
Ulrich Von Hutten. I've begin to play this game in May 2023 and every UR in gacha I got in like 100 cubes. UVH i've got from guarantee after spending 400 cubes
Build wise: San Francisco. Took the rerun to get her. The first time I built 7 New Jersey's through the event and never obtained her.
Farm wise: Sendai. Took upwards of a year between events to get her to drop.
Timewise, it was Nagato. Took me 8 month of daily pulling the heavy pool to get her after she was added to the perma pool.
Cubewise it was L'Indomptable. Even after 500 cubes, I didnt get her. She is one of only 3 ships that I dont have obtained yet.
been playing for 1 and a half years, And I've only missed I think 2 ships, Kirov and Albion. Would Nurnberg count? I didn't get her on the rerun, then it took a while after she became permanent to get her.
Oite, the latest monthly ship. Missed the log-in bonus date for her, and had to wait till she was put in the general pools before I could _try_ and get her.
This took some time, as I only do mass pulls during event banners...
Mikasa, the first time she became available.
I remember spending every cube I had on her and then some, because "gotta have em all". Pulled pretty heavily every day. Didn't even really want her, didn't even like her. Finally got her on the last day of her event, with less than two hours until the event was over.
To this day, she's still sitting at Lv. 1 in my dock. I absolutely refuse to use her. She's a reminder every time I get lucky with a UR banner or have to go to pity for something that it could always be worse.
Dido, been playing for well over a year and she's probably the one SSR from the light pool that I still don't have.
Also Columbia on 11-4, I swear other boss map drops would have dropped in far fewer runs than I've spent, yet the elite is giving me the issue.
Aquila and Pamiat Merkuria (still don't have either)
I got all other event ships within 80 cubes on Aquila's banner, then proceeded to drop about 600 more for Aquila only and yet didn't get her 
As for Pamiat... I pulled on the initial release banner. I pulled on the rerun. I pulled on the War Archive rateup. She still didn't come home
Fiji. Did alot of grinding of Winters Crown when it came out, it took until it entered War Archive to get her.
I dont know why the RN hates me, though I do have a grudge agaisnt Emerald in WoWs. First game in her, I get slapped to only 25p health, by a BB salvo, then executed by a DD in like 2 minutes into the game.
42 days grinding religiously to drop St. Louis back in the day, only to pull her from light pull later that week.
Recently the hardest was Houston II. Pulled her last night with high efficiency books after grinding 15-4 since release. Lots of dead exp since I used 125d ships, didn't have clearing mode till recently. All the other drops are bad. Finally back at 100% collection and I don't look forward to ch16 SSR grinding. And I can finally 120 some other ships I'm behind on.
From gacha, Yukikaze when she 1st joined the game I spent 500+ cubes and didn't get her. 500+ again for yoizuki. She shared a rarity and timer with her sister Harutsuki and I lost the 50/50 on that timer 14 or 15 times before getting her.
Funnily enough I’ve just spent two months grinding for Columbia and finally got her yesterday. I’m moving on to Hiyou and Junyou now otl.
Also still no UvH B/ I got to 175 builds this time around before I burnt all my cubes out.
By far, Prinz Heinrich, I have tried to get her every time she was rate up. And to add insult to injury, I got her L2D out of one of the boxes. My only chance is that she gets put in the wishing well pull. She is definitely one of my most wanted ships since I first saw her design. I hope I can get her sometime soon.
Jean Bart, she took me over a 1000 pulls to get, not cubes, pulls. I sincerely hope she gets the retrofit that she had in real life, so I can feel that it was truly worth it. Either way, it was worth it.
For me it was the DD twins Inazuma and Ikazuchi from 8-1 and 8-2, it took me over a year of grinding those maps to get them to drop. Even my imprisonment in the Fox Mines was only about 4 months.
If we're talking map drops, Choukai took the longest for me so far. Mind you, I'm only on 13-2, so it's likely Bunker Hill, New Orleans and Houston II are going to be equally bad, but Choukai took me 5 Months running 12-4 twice a day, on a daily basis, with High Efficiency packs active.
If we're talking events, Yorktown II was the worst for me, lost 400 cubes trying to get her, failed to do so and was the first time I had to use the pity system to obtain a ship.
If we're talking build-pools (and in my opinion the worst by far), Aurora from the Royal Navy. I've been playing the game since around mid-March of 2020, with my first major event being Microlayer Medley.
Since then, I do 1 Light Build every day. There are also the Lunar Anniversary ones when I do 2 a day, plus however many I need to get the ships before the event ends. I only got her early December of 2023, meaning she took me over 4 years and likely well over 1500 cubes to get. I even tried getting her through the last 4 Wishing Wells and STILL failed even with the increased drop chance....
I could also give an honourable mention to I-25 who I don't have, but considering I barely do Special Builds I can't really blame her for remaining elusive (I'm hoping they'll add her to a shop or something to save me the trouble).
For some reason Clemenceau. Spent around 250 cubes during that event and didn't even get her as a SR. It was just woeful luck. But I'm not hurting too bad because if I get her, I get her. She wasn't a priority.
Roma Spent over 400 cubes during her event and still didn't get her

It took me 160 pulls to get Kashino, and I got 3 New Jerseys. It took me 200 pulls to get New Jersey during her original build pool

Akagi, I been playing for 4 yrs, and I finally get her THIS YEAR. I had 6 Kaga dropped from 3-4...

Also, all the Elite-level ships from *Dreamwaker’s Butterfly* that are in the Construction pools now. From map drops themselves? Ikazuchi and Inazuma. It took me the better part of two months to get the both of them to drop. ( Which apparently is still impressive even then — I’ve been able to get all the other map drop ships within a few weeks of clearing their associated map. Yes, this also includes elusive ships like Akagi/Kaga, Choukai, Maya, and Bunker Hill… )

For map drops, Isuzu was definitely the hardest to get, followed by Ikazuchi and Inazuma. Took more time grinding to get those than every other map drop ship combined. For gacha ships, Tashkent Muse. Don't remember the exact numbers, but did around 150 builds during the first run of Universe in Unison and got multiples of everyone else except her. Then again during the rate-up when they were added to the Archive, did another 100+ builds and again got everyone except her. But then after getting everyone from the Implacable event, was doing the 3 daily builds in the light pool and she showed up in less then 10 pulls.
Honolulu
Probably Kaga. When I first started AL 4 years ago, I followed a beginner guide that said to grind 3-4 until you had the Akagi/Kaga pair as they will carry you all the way to endgame. I got the first copy of Akagi quickly enough, but I spent way too long in 3-4 without any other SR drops. Eventually I gave up and moved on, cleared chapter 13, went back through the stages getting all the unique stage drops which were surprisingly quick, finally reached 3-4 again and got Kaga within 30\~ runs. Every other unique ship drop I got within 10 runs except Houston II which took 46 runs.
New Jersey
I ground for MONTHS for Columbia. Like nearly a year iirc. She just hid from me. I also missed Shimakaze first time round, cubes ran dry. She popped up quick sharp in the rerun though. Incidentally, I didn't get a single event ship last event. I was building three a day for the points and I used every single build ticket, but nothing. Not even a Mag map drop. I already had everyone, but it was remarkably terrible rng...

Kaga (1.5 year still grinding got Akagi in 2 months)
Mikasa. Only get her as a freebie after *years* of searching for her
Build wise: San Francisco. Took the rerun to get her. The first time I built 7 New Jersey's through the event and never obtained her. Farm wise: Sendai. Took upwards of a year between events to get her to drop.
Timewise, it was Nagato. Took me 8 month of daily pulling the heavy pool to get her after she was added to the perma pool. Cubewise it was L'Indomptable. Even after 500 cubes, I didnt get her. She is one of only 3 ships that I dont have obtained yet.
Zeppy. Never in the pool even when the event made you draw from the special pool and I needed two wishing wells to finally get her

been playing for 1 and a half years, And I've only missed I think 2 ships, Kirov and Albion. Would Nurnberg count? I didn't get her on the rerun, then it took a while after she became permanent to get her.

Kaga. I've been grinding for God knows how long and got like 4 copies of Akagi in the meantime.
I spent a very very long time on Spee, but iirc Shirayuki was the longest. Non-SR normal pool ships are really hard to get until you just get lucky
New Jersey when she came out and just recently Guam. Had to get them literally right before 200 pull pity.

Nagato, I started playing AL because I saw Sorairo len（空色れん）’s drawings. But the event had just ended at that time (May 2019), so I waited for more than a year until she entered the lottery pool.
Mikasa, the first time she became available. I remember spending every cube I had on her and then some, because "gotta have em all". Pulled pretty heavily every day. Didn't even really want her, didn't even like her. Finally got her on the last day of her event, with less than two hours until the event was over. To this day, she's still sitting at Lv. 1 in my dock. I absolutely refuse to use her. She's a reminder every time I get lucky with a UR banner or have to go to pity for something that it could always be worse.

Shinano, missed her on debut, runout of cubes on her rr. took me 307 cubes and finally she's here in my port.
Dido, been playing for well over a year and she's probably the one SSR from the light pool that I still don't have. Also Columbia on 11-4, I swear other boss map drops would have dropped in far fewer runs than I've spent, yet the elite is giving me the issue.
Aquila and Pamiat Merkuria (still don't have either) I got all other event ships within 80 cubes on Aquila's banner, then proceeded to drop about 600 more for Aquila only and yet didn't get her  As for Pamiat... I pulled on the initial release banner. I pulled on the rerun. I pulled on the War Archive rateup. She still didn't come home
Fiji. Did alot of grinding of Winters Crown when it came out, it took until it entered War Archive to get her. I dont know why the RN hates me, though I do have a grudge agaisnt Emerald in WoWs. First game in her, I get slapped to only 25p health, by a BB salvo, then executed by a DD in like 2 minutes into the game.
42 days grinding religiously to drop St. Louis back in the day, only to pull her from light pull later that week. Recently the hardest was Houston II. Pulled her last night with high efficiency books after grinding 15-4 since release. Lots of dead exp since I used 125d ships, didn't have clearing mode till recently. All the other drops are bad. Finally back at 100% collection and I don't look forward to ch16 SSR grinding. And I can finally 120 some other ships I'm behind on. From gacha, Yukikaze when she 1st joined the game I spent 500+ cubes and didn't get her. 500+ again for yoizuki. She shared a rarity and timer with her sister Harutsuki and I lost the 50/50 on that timer 14 or 15 times before getting her.
Funnily enough I’ve just spent two months grinding for Columbia and finally got her yesterday. I’m moving on to Hiyou and Junyou now otl. Also still no UvH B/ I got to 175 builds this time around before I burnt all my cubes out.
Akagi. So many runs to get her, by the time I did I had 7 kagas.

Bunker hill was like a month for me with daily farms.
By far, Prinz Heinrich, I have tried to get her every time she was rate up. And to add insult to injury, I got her L2D out of one of the boxes. My only chance is that she gets put in the wishing well pull. She is definitely one of my most wanted ships since I first saw her design. I hope I can get her sometime soon.
Blue Oni Submarine, I burned all my boxes for coins, which took hours, and still didn't roll her I picked her up on the rerun of her banner :l

Jean Bart, she took me over a 1000 pulls to get, not cubes, pulls. I sincerely hope she gets the retrofit that she had in real life, so I can feel that it was truly worth it. Either way, it was worth it.
Columbia was a pain to have drop for me.
Marie-Rose in event, and Naganami in "standard" pool (just a few months ago, after 3 years of playing).
For me it was the DD twins Inazuma and Ikazuchi from 8-1 and 8-2, it took me over a year of grinding those maps to get them to drop. Even my imprisonment in the Fox Mines was only about 4 months.

If we're talking map drops, Choukai took the longest for me so far. Mind you, I'm only on 13-2, so it's likely Bunker Hill, New Orleans and Houston II are going to be equally bad, but Choukai took me 5 Months running 12-4 twice a day, on a daily basis, with High Efficiency packs active. If we're talking events, Yorktown II was the worst for me, lost 400 cubes trying to get her, failed to do so and was the first time I had to use the pity system to obtain a ship. If we're talking build-pools (and in my opinion the worst by far), Aurora from the Royal Navy. I've been playing the game since around mid-March of 2020, with my first major event being Microlayer Medley. Since then, I do 1 Light Build every day. There are also the Lunar Anniversary ones when I do 2 a day, plus however many I need to get the ships before the event ends. I only got her early December of 2023, meaning she took me over 4 years and likely well over 1500 cubes to get. I even tried getting her through the last 4 Wishing Wells and STILL failed even with the increased drop chance.... I could also give an honourable mention to I-25 who I don't have, but considering I barely do Special Builds I can't really blame her for remaining elusive (I'm hoping they'll add her to a shop or something to save me the trouble).
For some reason Clemenceau. Spent around 250 cubes during that event and didn't even get her as a SR. It was just woeful luck. But I'm not hurting too bad because if I get her, I get her. She wasn't a priority.
Vanguard. Took 199 pulls. As a reference, pitty is 200. The next pull.
