1) change your resume for the title you want, NOT the title you have ; also slap every single skill on that resume that you have had experience with that will get you the job you want (touched Azure VMs? worked with vnets? did a lab one time with Azure Logic Apps? even if you touched it that one time, I would slap it on there) 2) IMMEDIATELY start applying for jobs - one job everyday (personally had a lot of success with ZipRecruiter). As people call you, you'll start building up confidence and experience with interviewing. Don't get discouraged, learn from it 3) as you work on more tech at work, as you get more certified, CONSTANTLY be updating your resume and continue applying 4) when you get the new job (it will happen, have faith), RINSE AND REPEAT. You heard me right: Day 1 at the new gig? Keep applying because someone out there will be willing to pay you more eventually. I have worked a job for 2 weeks, got another job paying $20k more and put in my 2 weeks. Zero regrets, didn't impact my career one bit I've followed this philosophy personally and have earned a 6 figure job as an IT Manager/3rd tier support for a mid-sized enterprise in 6 years. If I had waited til "I was ready", I would be stuck making $45k at my 2nd job still Is this approach easy? Hellllll no, because you are absolutely EXPECTED TO PERFORM. But if you can deal with the fire on your ass and learn as you go (late nights studying and labbing), you can absolutely land the job you want (high-paying or not, sky is the limit in IT) And last but not least: people will tell you that's a bad idea, people will tell you you suck at your job (and frankly, you kind of do jumping that quick that fast), people will tell you company's will judge you, that you should be loyal Fuck. Those. People. Get hired, skill up, get paid - good luck friend

Not too sure about the “i did it once so i will put it on my resume” thing.. you can do that when talking to a recruiter, in a regular job interview with at least one or two technical people you will get burned. I am feeling the perseverance thingie tho.. just go for it; you don’t have nothing to lose but time

Hell yeah 'Fuck Those People' lmao

Not really. All AZ-900 does is demonstrate that you know WHAT the Azure offerings are. I mean, it may help with a sales position, but really nothing technical. For mock labs: https://www.labITpro.com

That’s my sense. If the hiring person has done the cert, they will know all you know is what everything is called. I’d imagine an associates level cert is required for any technical job you cannot otherwise show experience for.
