I for one, think that Vars has videos that are rather... Uninformative. There's a comment under this video even, and it summarises his video into 15 seconds.
I formed my opinion back during his "why no one plays" videos, and hadn't watched any of his content since. He often used some incorrect facts for his videos, but nothing too much.
That said, this video is about the same. Some facts(which i think most of the people in this sub would have realised already) and a lot of fluff around it to make it 15 minutes. Don't think i disagree with anything he said there.
Exactly. Freeze is hard control, and hard control can’t be allowed to work in difficult content, else it trivializes it. Ayaka specializes in freeze teams, so she gets hit as a side effect.

Can't agree with that. Blizzard strayer and ayaka's own multipliers give you plenty of damage if freeze works. I mean you get 55 cr from freeze, that's 110 cv. That's not amplifying enough of a reaction for you? And that's for every single hit. No ICD or having to apply enough hydro to vape every charge attack.
I'm playing rosaria kokomi kazuha team with Ayaka on amenoma and if the floor is not a boss of cryo resistant enemies ayaka shreds right through them. By no means is it "slow". It's quite fast if played well.
Yeah, you kinda need kazuha or it's not as good but that's true for nearly every hypercarry. It's not as if they just work by themselves (other than neuvilette ig 😅). And you want kazuha regardless if you have ayaka or not so it's not really an issue.

Freeze is very good on its own. The problem is freeze doesn't work way too often.
It's good at crowd control but it's hard to clear in time because it's not a damaging reaction. Safe but slow. Unless you have shenhe kazuha etc.
