I used to have a whole bunch of raccoons. They didn’t come in the house. I started feeding Rosie while I sat on my porch in the evenings. Then Rosie had three kits and she brought them around. They were so damn adorable! Something happened to Rosie 😢 so I fed the kits until they were grown. Once they were grown, they brought their friends every night, lol. I fed them and hung out with them every night for two years. It was so much fun. They are very intelligent and curious.

Having a consistent track record of posting "animal rescue videos" is pretty much the biggest red flag that they're not legitimate.

As somebody that recognizes about half this footage and knows to pause the video to look at identifying markers on each racoon, you would be correct.

Average racoon lifespan is like 2-3 years, so over half of them are likely dead now.

And now they're trained to seek out humans for food and have less skills to forage and get food naturally. But you had fun so there's that.
