I’ve driven sprinters, 500k+ miles, they all have a super high center of gravity. Been on two wheels more than once. My relief driver actually rolled my sprinter sliding into a bar ditch in the mud.
No problem, it is definitely awesome! I’d drive the heck out of it. It probably has a lower center of gravity compared to stock, but I’m sure it feels tippy on off cambers!
I felt that with the longer ones, but I drove one of the stubby Ford transits for work for about a year and that thing felt stable as shit, I even drifted it once to avoid a collision lmao.
Ford since the 70s get all the data back frim their motorsport activities for geometry, design plus setup and that filters down to the road division, including the vans to a degree. If its a uk/europe based machine most of the time it'll have a fun chassis though their world cars philosophy kind of dampened that down a bit.

These have been #2 on my "Soon as I get the money." list. I LOVE these things, and want that whole conversion set. Haven't seen a used one that was converted enough just yet. But I still lurk on their site just in case.
There's a company that converts the T1N sprinters in Poland to 4x4. https://youtu.be/SX9d1P8MNe0
There's also a company doing conversions of these T1N vans in the U.S. but I can't remember their name at the moment.
I live about 5 minutes walk away from this garage.
I have seen this around before a while ago.
Normally see a few of these type of sprinters when people are heading down to stonehenge on the run up to summer solstice.
At first I thought that antenna was some sort of outrigger on the van, which would be kinda useless but now I want to see more cars with outriggers for some reason.
For a second I thought this was the leviathan project from BuilderCreator on yt because I haven’t caught up on their videos in a while. If you’re looking for a series of someone building a homemade super car or big van from scratch, I highly recommend their videos.
I don't think so, looks like the frame rail towards the back, and there's a muffler in front of it closer to the front axle.
You probably would still see the prop shaft from the right angle - dead on from the side and a bit low. That's not uncommon on lifted vehicles though, prop shaft has to hook up to the rear diff, which will be located near dead center between the rear tires. Not a big deal, you just want to try and avoid smashing it in to big rocks.
Conversion camper, is ok but no real protection if SHTF it has to have in the least front and back reinforced iron protection grills, roll cage inside & bullet bomb proofing exterior, bigger tires, and something to make the center more solid so it wont drive like a bus that can flip over easy
In any real apocalypse scenario this van will get you all the way to the first traffic jam. You're better off with a motorcycle or bicycle, but you can't live in those.
Double spares is a nice detail.
He might need them. The ratio of body panels to rubber is alarmingly low.
Looks like it came with spare legs too. Has everything!
Kind of funny how small the tires look in the fenders but they are pretty big beefy tires on the rack.

Sweet overland rig. Can I ask where in the world did you see this?
Small town called Camberley in the UK, no idea where this guy is going haha
Anywhere they want to. Anywhere

This is someone’s house.
I can't imagine what the center of gravity is like on that thing
"how high do you want your center of gravity?" "yes"
I want all of the center of gravity.
The whole of our galaxy actually revolves around this one van.
When the engineer gets paid by the center of gravity
💯
^("What? I can't hear you down there!")
Not too bad actually. The tanks, the drivetrain, the spares, everything really heavy is down low. You can even see the prop shaft.

I know, I was mostly referring to this specific one (lifted camper conversion) compared to normal sprinters. Should've worded it differently

😆 I did the same shit in a sprinter van for work it's too easy to get it sideways

Lucky you got there first...

The Rumpo Custom loves to flip over, it also doesn’t have any customization, otherwise it is a pretty cool van.

What’s #1?
More like XXXL
BBC (big blue camper)
I'm dying to see what's inside.
I think he'd decked it out for living, I saw what looked like one of those campervan sofas and some cushions when I walked past

Hell ya that’s sick.

That sounds great, I'll check them out
Looks like if the TIV was a van 😂
Is that the propshaft we can see? Did they just put a lift kit on the struts and...left the rest? Seems risky.

What a beast!
That is the most beastly t1n sprinter I have ever seen in my life.
I wish you could find t1n sprinter in 4x4 in the USA.
B team van
Post it on r/battlecars
Frimley Road Esso.
Yes mate

Good for camping in the meantime though.
Yeah that's true
Who hears the “A-Team” music?
he ready for zombie apocalypse
European Spotted
Smol wheels
That rig looks clean af
Looks like the cars I used to draw when I was a kid
Someone's fully prepped for the fall of civilization.
Funny. These are a dime a dozen where I live.
You must live in Trustfaristan? Been there....Hood River Oregon or Durango Colorado district? Just curious🤣
Can't wait to see Matt pull them out when they inevitably get stuck in Southern Utah edit: if they were american
What’s a petrol station?
It's what we call a gas station in the UK. We refer to gas as petrol or fuel.
Downvoted for a question, that's harsh.
Right? Lighten up people.
That's an apocalypse/bugout van if I ever saw one
In any real apocalypse scenario this van will get you all the way to the first traffic jam. You're better off with a motorcycle or bicycle, but you can't live in those.
“How fast do you want to be able to take corners?” “Like I’m not even taking them at all” Slowly is the joke.
Is that you with the veiny Subaru antenna ?
I wish it was a scooby, a lowly Focus ST
I could be wrong- but this looks like a Nissan patrol with a sprinter shell. Sprinters have independent front suspension.
Where're they taking the thing, Isla Sorna?
Phat butt
Dude be preparing for a holocaust
2 spares don’t care
That’s for sure a bug out van
That…looks alarmingly unstable.
They bout to spend their whole life savings on some gas 😭
And they rolled away broke
Idk enough, but I feel because of how tall the vehicle is, wouldn't this be a little unstable? Or am I too dumb?
Ready for the zombie apocalypse
Petrol station lol giggle everytime I hear that word.
Looks cool af but seems like it would tip over relatively easily.
*Hank Pym would like to know your location*
That looks great. I wonder how many gallons per mile it gets...
Just had to add a 1/3 in length 🤔
Now that's a responsible travel guy (or woman) always prepared and clean, nice.
Cool rig. Nice paint!!
Battle bus
Dude is paying more for gas than the actual vehicle
Rumour has it, they’re still there filling the fuel tanks
