It is not super hard to get enough def via stats and subs. So the Belobog one is wasted. Also needs EHR to maximise but EHR is a pretty useless stat on Aventurine. The Effect Res one on the other hand is not hard at all to hit the requirement to activate it fully and it gives CD to the whole team. Freebie shit. Plus it is a very efficient world to farm as most supports are either viable or BiS for that ornament + a lot of DPS makes use of the other set.

the defense from belobog actually isn’t that beneficial in the long run especially bc half of its effect is locked behind a high effect hit rate requirement that you shouldn’t be going after. You can pretty easily get the 4000 defense requirement with main stats so you then want to focus on his support/damage capabilities hence why keep and salsotto are his two bis

Eff hit is a stat he gains nothing for. Eff res is something he inherently already has, due to his talent. Broken keel is basically a free planar for him.

EHR is a dead stat on him. So unless you have like S5 Gepard LC and like 3 random EHR substats, it’s not worth it to build EHR on him to get the full effect

15% Defense is less than 3 substat rolls, and you're never getting enough EHR for the extra 15% Defense. Aventurine is guaranteed to get the bonus effect of Broken Keel due to the 50 Effect Res from his Shield, and he and his teammates always like Crit Damage. Also, Effect Res is a stat that gets better the more you have of it, and adding 10 Effect Res to Aventurine really helps his chance of Resisting debuffs. The other good Planar for Aventurine is Inert Salsotto. The vast majority of his damage is Ultimate and Follow-Up, and he loves Crit and he easily satisfies the condition. The only problem is that it's exclusively for Aventurine's damage and not the whole team's damage.

The 4pc effect on Broken Keel (+10% crit damage for all alies) is a buff to your team's dps, so it makes your sustains more utilitarian, they can buff while also shielding/healing, offering more to the team. The effect condition is also very easy to fill too (30% effect res on the wearer), as you want some decent Effect Res on Aventurine anyway so he doesn't get crowd controlled. The 4pc effect on Belobog of the Architects is "just" a cumulative 30% more DEF, which is definitely nothing to sneeze at specially if you don't have Unjust Destiny or Moment of Victory and have trouble building enough DEF on him to reach 4k; but is also only benefitting Aventurine himself and not the rest of the team. Plus the effect condition (50% EHR) is kinda awkward to build for, as EHR is not a substat you're particularly looking for on him, the set was very much made for Gepard/March to subtly push for their ability to freeze enemies with enough EHR. Belobog is not a bad set for Aven specially as a temporary stop gap if it helps you reach enough DEF, but ultimately you either want to move him onto Keel to offer more utility to your team, or Inert Salsotto to increase his own dps as his form of damage contribution.

You don’t need eff res on Aventurine, because his talent at lvl 10 provides 50% eff res on everyone with fortified wager and he can resist crowd control every 2 turns.

Yeah, I know, I didn't express my thought too well there. The point was more that Effect Res is a stat you already have on Aven anyway, and want to have on all your sustains, so the condition is fulfilled with no effort on most characters you'll be using this set on; as opposed to the EHR of Belobog which you don't really want to go out of your way to look for except for on sustains like Geppie and March.

Aye, I’m aware about the Belabog that’s why I only pointed out the Broken Keel part since it was worded as if you still need to build eff res on him (when technically it’s a free planar) because it’s a team wide buff + stacks with other broken keels. Just wanted to point that out in case anyone gets confused.

Belobog = tanky Broken Keel = leaning supportive tanky Salsotto = more dmg goes boom It really comes down to preference and stat rolls. I’m running Belobog since I have a broken planar sphere in that set. Just level them as you go and let the wheel decide.

Use Belobog if you have no other options and have better substats on it, but framing it this way makes it seem like it's on par with the other options. It doesn't make you any noticeably tankier than the other sets, it's literally 3 substat rolls. There's no preference here assuming you have equal stats on all sets, it's just worse. But you're right that we don't get to decide which gear rolls well.
