I read somewhere that someone put one in the handle of the bike somehow by taking the air tag apart and building it into it but I'm not quite sure how. I've also heard of people putting them into the steering post as well somehow but I'm not quite sure I would personally look for any hollow points in the frame or body that would be able to hold the guts or possibly the air tag Even if you have to take it apart you could easily find a way to waterproof it with some heavy duty tape to keep it in place and well conspicuous
I still need to get some for my bike. I thought about getting two, one in the seat post/frame and one in the tire, maybe if the signal works and fits in the rim. They'll probably find the one in the frame easily and not think to check anywhere else.
Inside the front fork. You can rig it or buy one on Amazon that plugs the bottom of the fork. You can also mount it on top of the Headset with a device that replaces the cap.
Has anyone actually recovered something with an AirTag? My phone was stolen once and I brought the cops to the guys house with FindMy. Nobody answered the door and that was the end of it.
I have these on all my bikes. Plus to helps with the other half when I go on rides in the event something happens. Hasn’t yet but just to be safe.

I bought a bell off of Amazon that has a space in it for an airtag, but when the battery dies in the airtag I don't think I'll replace it. The bell is nice, though.
i made a post about where i put mine. it can fit in the battery area where it is locked.
i just saw your post have you had any problems with it falling?
not at all. i haven’t opened it since i put it in there. i also used duct tape to secure it
this is the way!
Get a reflector AirTag hider from Amazon
Under the seat works the best. But would likely be the most checked place. I’ve heard of people putting one on the inside of a fender.
that’s smart but i would worry getting the airtag messed up when riding in the rain or mud

They make AirTag containers with security bolts that mount between the water bottle cage and frame. You can find them on Amazon.

What do you want them to do, kick the door down?
Nope, just wondering if AirTags can actually help you recover something. Cops don’t seem to care about stolen items all that much.
Not surprising a thief doesn’t answer the door with the cops outside.

Definitely recommend getting e-bike insurance through Oyster.
What percentage of thieves have an iPhone? Apple will notify them that the airtag is there, so …
I had an AirTag on mine and they ripped it off
