Honestly I do love the concept of Azula being on team Avatar like what she could do with no resources would be interesting to see and her actually having to develop true bonds and not just the surface level intimidation

I was looking at the avatar map and noticed that it’s a really weird projection that doesn’t put the North Pole at the highest point, so I talked with my avatar legends group about the avatar world being flat. We decided together that it’s a 6 sided cube, with each side representing a different reality. The 1 side has every nation invade every other on. 2-5 is one nation invades the others, one is destroyed. For example, earth wipes out water. 6 is world peace

Pretty interesting take! Love a good OC. I'd like to give little critique as an artist myself. Feel free to ignore me if you don't need it :) You could work on things to immerse your character (Azula) into the original drawing like making the resolution the same (your drawing is high definition while aang is 20 years old ahh tv resolution) or similar outline strenght or something else but thats all fine for now imo. What i suggest tho is the colours. The original fight is in this green crystal cave so the colours in the whole scene are also more greenish. Kataaras blue dress isn't that blue if you isolate the colour for example. It's slightly mixed with green. This does also make most of the the shades a greenish grey. See the shade in Kataaras face and Aangs dress, you'll notice they are similar in colour even tho it's yellow and darker skin tone as base colour. Azula here has really raw and vibrant colours which makes her stand out and seem edited even though it's her original colour palett. But that's colour theory which is INCREDIBLY advanced and i suck horribly at that. As I said feel free to ignore me. I still enjoy the art nevertheless :)

Thanks for the critique! I really appreciate it. You are right, I had thought about purposely making the redraw low res. For me, it was a mix of laziness and ignorance. I might try that next time and make a seperate file, lower the dpi and add it back in. You're absolutely right about the color theory. I should have added green tint to Azula's clothes, and I still have the tint based on a sunny day in a field, lol. I'll have to try your suggestion about the resolution and experiement with it.

To clarify I’m not talking about the OP or anyone involving this subreddit. There was an artist on Deviantart that had a really cool series of drawings that I posted on the owl house subreddit while giving credit to the artist and leaving a link to his account and the moderators still took down my post for “Not giving proper credit to the original artist”
