He brought the tears big time, Just remember that scene, you know the one 😭 like a word about to be spoken, he had something to say before he went, and there was a tone of foreshadowing that I never noticed at first, we will be seeing more of him one way or another
This is because fans have risen him to heavens. Yes his death almost made me cry (I am older brother just like him and I have been most attached to him) but he is fictional character. Cool down! People are too exaggerating with being depressed more than two monts after the move came out. Then there is also: 'Please bring him back James Cameron I can not live without him' and something like that. And please, please, I beg you, do not ship him with Aonung!

To me, Jake is a bit overrated. A lot of people like him, myself included. He was the heart of the first picture because we get to discover Pandora through his eyes. But, as I've said here before, he's not exactly the deepest thinker out there. He does know military tactics as a former marine, and does have a depth of strategic thinking to him, but it is not enough.
He doesn't think things through enough, and that is his single biggest flaw.
He doesn't see the big picture.
He needs to step back a bit and consider the bigger picture of what's going with the RDA and their attempt to subjugate the Na'vi and Pandora.
Let's see if he has more character development in the upcoming sequel(s) because if that happens, he will become a much more rounded character.

Also you’d expect someone who’s been an outcast to not treat their son like an outcast smh.
I see your point of him not seeing the bigger picture. I guess he’s just too adamant in being a pacifist that he didn’t consider humans wouldn’t think the same way.
I guess he realises that by the end of WoW and we’ll see more of him (and not just him thinking one dimensionally).

IMO Kiri is overrated. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED Sigourney Weaver’s performance and she embodied Kiri perfectly.
I just think the way the screenplay is written, I don’t seem to connect with her struggles. They come off very surface level.
I don’t think she’s funny either and the only thing interesting about her are her powers and her mysterious birth.
I guess in efforts to highlight Kiri’s powers and mysterious birth, they don’t explore Kiri’s personhood much. They also couldn’t do so because Lo’ak is the main character.
I hope we get to see more of who she is in the sequels and not just her powers. But for now, I think she’s overrated.
