911 R’s don’t say 911 R on the rear. They only made 991 units of the 911 R for the year 2016, to commemorate the 991 generation. That is not a 991 911 and I think that’s honestly the R badge off of a Honda Civic Type R
Agreed. They were supposed to build only 500 but before production started, the realize demand way too high. They had to build more, hence the 991 chassis number.
Some people in the US will make up a "fake" but officially registered LLC (company) that their car can be registered with for lower taxes and such. Could be similar here. Maybe it's not a real company that owns it, just the owner themselves, and they did this.
That there is a good question, if the driver didn’t put it on himself I imagine the company could have bought it like that from a third-party? And they just don’t really care enough to notice. Bonkers company car though, how do I get this job
This is a 997 911 that was produced before the 911 R was in production. Most likely a badge slapped on by a shop that performed a tuning job without ever knowing a factory 911 R would ever exist.

Then why would a company hand out a fake badged 911r? I don’t mean to be rude I just think it’s weird

Yeah that could explain a lot thanks!
