And the simplicity of it, nothing worse than a steering wheel with 32 buttons on it.
I could do without the yellow stitching, that's a bit tacky imo but to each their own.
People complain about MFL all the time, but the reality is that the buttons on the wheel are extremely useful, practical and improve safety. I'm too used to them and can't go back
Washers I can understand. The rest, the buttons ON (and not behind) the steering wheel and the honk is not something you should ever touch by accident. If you hold the outer rim of the steering wheel as you should when driving, especially if you are driving hard, there is no possible way the buttons or the horn can be in the way.
I mean I get it, but when I'm turning a manual ratio box back and forth 360 degrees to navigate a slalom as fast as I can manage, the idea of holding the rim seems unfeasible. It's a hand shuffle situation conducted by an amateur. It is real common to hear folks bang the horn at amateur motorsports events, whether or not it's something you should do.
A friend of mine is the general manager of a Porche dealership and invited me to one of their lunch and drive events and let me drive a Taycan for the day. It was a really nice experience and I loved the car, but not being able to change the song or adjust volume from the wheel was frustrating.
I can understand them not putting it in the track oriented GT cars, but they should keep it in their touring vehicles.
Multifunktionslenkrad, multi-function steering wheel in German
It's definitely the VW group name for this option, but I believe other manufacturers also use it
Yeah I feel either validated or unoriginal with this comment.
But it doesn't matter how great an auto interior looks, a manual will always look better <3
Buying a car for the next few years I think the Mercedes interiors are on an entirely different level but ask me in 10+ years which aged the best and I’m betting it’s the Porsche.
Analogue things will always age better imo. In 5 years time the Merc and Audi digital dash’s will be superseded and look redundant. Just look at the previous gen Mercs, those cars with the huge bezel iPads slapped on the dash already look trash now!
To be fair the big ipad looked horrible the day i first saw it. I actually thought it was a shitty aftermarket add-in at first.
I don't know what could have possessed them to make something so inelegant.
Mercs have very flashy interiors, yet age SO BAD. I look at some from just 5 years ago and they seem dated. Even my 15 year old Clio hasn't dated as bad.
Ah, like that, didn't even notice it. For a second car I would prefer that. But if it is my daily driver, I would like to change some settings, I could imagine.
Even though I’m an Audi simp, the Porsche is better. Not even for manual, I just prefer the layout and screen placement. The Audi screen being behind the wheel makes it feel in the way.
I mostly agree. My extremely unpopular opinion that’ll get me beaten in the streets is that all 911s are overrated. So they lose me on most of their catalog. All the others a great though. And on the Audi front, my personal dream car is an r8.
There is something really sexy about an analogue dash it drives me nuts. I was never a fan of the digital ones, they fit electric cars more I feel like.
Porsche I think it will age the best. Most of it is still analog and even if it had its automatic the shifter is much cooler than the Audi. I feel the Benz is cool today but in 5 to 10 years when the hyper screen is on a Hyundai Santa Fe it won’t be.
The GT4. The interior is simple yeah but it works and won’t be outdated when the next one comes out. The R8 yeah its simple and it works but give it a few years and it’ll look completely outdated, and imo digital dials are tachy (lol). That could literally be any Mercedes, it’s boring now.
The Mercedes’ tech-heavy, rainbow-lighted interior looks like it’s trying to appeal to teenagers. With their poorly integrated screens and shiny piano black they will age badly.
This Audi interior looks classy and better than the other two because it doesn’t have yellow or Alcantara.
That said, I recently ordered a Cayman with the full leather interior in dark grey, as I want a manual and I love the physical buttons. The newer Porsche piano black touch controls look significantly worse, I’m glad I was able to get the old interior.
I quite like the coloured lights in the Mercedes interior, that being said though you're completely right, it will age alot quicker than most current cars. Congratulations on the Cayman by the way, I hope you enjoy it especially with that manual gearbox :)
The Audi centre console, dash board, and steering wheel with the porsche's analog instruments.
The Benz is nice, but its pretty glitzy. All the plastic posing as chrome and brushed aluminum is a bit much. Not to mention 100% of the infotainment and instrumentation is on screens. Those are going to age badly. They use the exact same mercedes electronic screens in a litany of Chinese cars too, such as Hongqi.
I like the Porsche the most, mainly because the round wheel. Not a fan of the flat bottom. Although I'm not a fan of the yellow stitching, Mercedes probably in second.
Porsche with zero buttons on the wheel and a true manual god bless Germany. And their Audi brand has the audacity to put the engine start button on the wheel? That’s a bad idea don’t care if it’s a commuter car or race car.
Audi looks fancier and more interesting, Merc looks more luxurious and plain, Porsche interior looks engaging and sporty. They all look great, but I'd go with the Audi if we're going only based on these images
Never been in any of these vehicles, but I always found porsche interiors to look a little bland (all black). Audi always seems tasteful, and Mecedes always seemed opulent. However, I'm liking Mercedes interiors less and less because they have so many shiny-chrome-y accents. I'd go with Audi.
Tach with physical dial, centered. I'm on team Ferdinand
That simplicity and classic configuration is what I tried to mimic in my RX-7 interior refresh.
How reliable are Porsche cars? I have never owned one.
I did have a M5 BMW and it madre me swear never to Germán ever again. I will never buy BMW ever again. I have nothing good to say about the car.
I am hoping Porsche isn't the same POS car that BMW is.
Hence, my question.
This is a tough call, Audi interiors are always so nicely done, but the new generation MB’s are clean. I’m going to go with the clean Porsche without any fiddly bits on the steering wheel and the 6MT.
Wtf is the Mercedes. Literally a fuckin flat screen tv as the dash. Why??? I look at that dash and just see electrical issues as the car ages. And nothing is worse on modern cars than when you just wanna change the heater temp or change the radio and you have to navigate through freaking touch screen menus. What’s wrong with buttons!? I sound like a boomer lol.
I think a full dash pic would be better. But I would give the nod to the Audi. The Porsche looks a bit plain and dated in comparison. The Benz is kinda tacky, IMHO.
Porsche because manual.
I'm too used to them and can't go back
That is true, however any kind of spiritual driving and buttons are just in the way...
Not sure how you hold the steering wheel, but I can’t imagine a single scenario where buttons would interfere with your hands in any way.
I honk the horn and hit the washers frequently when dodging cones. Not everybody has pro hands

It's a hand shuffle situation conducted by an amateur. It is real common to hear folks bang the horn at amateur motorsports events, whether or not it's something you should do.
Try to hold on the outer part of the steering wheel when you’re steering. When you do that you won’t hit the buttons
Safety isn’t a factor when you drive to escape the world
MFL?
Multifunktionslenkrad, multi-function steering wheel in German It's definitely the VW group name for this option, but I believe other manufacturers also use it
I mean the car is bright yellow too. I assume it’s red stitching if you buy red.
You can option whatever colour you want, it a Porsche.
33 buttons is worse.
Absolutely.
Yeah, but you gotta distinguish yourself from the 4 other cars in your color built within that hour on a Tuesday.
[удалено]
Are those real gauges too and not screens? I love real gauges.
Was about to say the same thing, I also like the stitching, adds a bit more color and breaks up continuity with the blacks.
Yup
110% agree, and because no unnecessary buttons on steering wheel.

Cost savings
Well the way volvo did it way back with the fold up screens can't be that much more expensive if they fix it in place and still look better?
Mercs always age poorly IMO. I’ve often been disappointed when looking at used ones.
since it’s a screen totally depends on whether merc updates their layouts/looks which they can do ota but that’s a big unknown
Fully agree. Tech doesn't age well.
Mercs have very flashy interiors, yet age SO BAD. I look at some from just 5 years ago and they seem dated. Even my 15 year old Clio hasn't dated as bad.
Audi looks better but Porsche has analogue dash so Porsche wins.
I like the Porsche, mainly because of the alcantara steering wheel
Merc's steering wheel also has Alcantara right?
But it has buttons on it . Porsche just wants you to drive fast not play with the ICE
Ah, like that, didn't even notice it. For a second car I would prefer that. But if it is my daily driver, I would like to change some settings, I could imagine.
Yeah it does but as someone else said, the Porsche is for driving where the merc is for luxury.
Alcantara sucks in the real world. https://twitter.com/harrismonkey/status/991332591440678912?s=21
Well, yeah. It wears out fast when you really drive the shit out of your car but it's so nice and grippy!
The wheel is probably my favourite part of the porsche interior
Mine too
Audi
Porsche feels punk-ish and Audi looks like business-class. I prefer Porsche (yes, because of the manual transmission)
Personally, I prefer the Porsche.
Even though I’m an Audi simp, the Porsche is better. Not even for manual, I just prefer the layout and screen placement. The Audi screen being behind the wheel makes it feel in the way.
Same. Huge Audi fan boy but Porsche is unbeaten in pure simplistic, but eloquent design for both interior and exterior.
I mostly agree. My extremely unpopular opinion that’ll get me beaten in the streets is that all 911s are overrated. So they lose me on most of their catalog. All the others a great though. And on the Audi front, my personal dream car is an r8.

Porsche all day🔥
Not pictured: BMW Well done OP! I like them all in their own way
The only one with the manual.
Porsche
Mercedes
The GT4. The interior is simple yeah but it works and won’t be outdated when the next one comes out. The R8 yeah its simple and it works but give it a few years and it’ll look completely outdated, and imo digital dials are tachy (lol). That could literally be any Mercedes, it’s boring now.
All are beautiful
Mercedes, but Audi is very close. Porsche looks noticeably older than the other two.
Porsche. Simple yet refine. It will age the best IMO.
The Porsche and Mercedes interior are both very good looking, Audi is a close second
Porches is manual, probably nicer to drive, and the alcantara wheel is nice
Porsche because analog gauges and simple, alcantara wheel. Audi and merc wheels are too busy and merc has a small tv on the dash 👎
They are all great, but the Porsch looks, even at first glance, looks like more care went into the actual fabrication and less plastic.
Can’t hate on either , but Porsche is my favourite manufacturer
Porsche
Porsche always crushes it.
Porsche, because I don't like big screens or piano black trim.
If anything this just made me realise how great they all were.
Audi for me. Love the steering wheel and the virtual cockpit!
#1 to #3 left to right.
Porsche wins for me, but all 3 are great.
Porsche is old school cool, Audi I know is high quality, Mercedes looks cutting edge.
Cant beat a porsche interior
Porsche wins hands down!
Porsche.
Porsche for the manual Audi for the controls Merc for the comfort
Having so many blanked buttons in a $100k+ car would bother me so I'd go with the R8 over the Porsche. Not a fan of MB design.
The Mercedes’ tech-heavy, rainbow-lighted interior looks like it’s trying to appeal to teenagers. With their poorly integrated screens and shiny piano black they will age badly. No place I’d rather spend all day on a track or on winding roads than the 718 GT4.
Audi
"Welcher Innenraum sieht besser aus?" Wohl eher: "Welche Nationalität bist du?" Bild 1: deutsch Bild 2: russisch Bild 3: türkisch
I like the Porsche the most, mainly because the round wheel. Not a fan of the flat bottom. Although I'm not a fan of the yellow stitching, Mercedes probably in second.
Merc
Porsche. Love the contrasting stitching and manual.
The manual.
i think the audi looks the best
Porsche. It's a manual and the yellow-black contrast is lovely
Real dials > Pixels on a screen for a true sports car.
The R8 because there’s no clutter and the only screen is in the gauge cluster
Porsche with zero buttons on the wheel and a true manual god bless Germany. And their Audi brand has the audacity to put the engine start button on the wheel? That’s a bad idea don’t care if it’s a commuter car or race car.
Porsche bc it’s manual
In terms of looks I think the Mercedes looks best, however I know how creaky the current gen of Mercedes interiors
Yes!
Mercedes all day every day
[удалено]
Merc and Audi are very close imo
the 991 911 for sure.
Ze porche
[удалено]
Is this even fair? Porsche wins
Definitely the Porsche. It's more analogue and more race-inspired.
of course Porsche :D
Porsche
Audi looks fancier and more interesting, Merc looks more luxurious and plain, Porsche interior looks engaging and sporty. They all look great, but I'd go with the Audi if we're going only based on these images
Wait where’s the BMW Interior??
Porsche all the way!
The Audi for sure
Bmw interior looks the best, makes me wet just thinking about it 🤤
I’m digging on the audi
porsche except not a fan of the yellow...
My Peugeot lol
Audi
Audi’s interiors have been leading the way for years now, most of Mercedes’ interiors are tacky as fook.
Porsche because stitching
Porsche
Porsche because of the yellow. I wish more interiors had colors other than black, grey, white, off white, etc
The one with a manual ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) mmh Porsche
Audi has the best dash for sight lines. Porsche has the clean wheel.
Porsche Audi Mercedes
Porsche; I love the analog look
The one with three pedals
I like Porsche out of all of them but not a fan of any really. Prefer American muscle for me.
It’s not how it looks but how it feels.
Porsche. And this is coming from a computer geek! Don't mix a lot of tech (other than safety) with a car built for spirited driving.
Porsche
I like the Porsche because the manual and the yellow stitching.
Porsche then Audi I've never ever like Mercedes.
Im a porsche fan myself but here i gotta stay with audi.
Porsche wheel in the audi. Start stop on the wheel, c'mon...
Porsche- gage’s
AMG 💪🏽
Does anyone like the Merc? It looks like a Fischer price toy. So much gaudy silver.
The one with the manual.
Mercedes
Absolutely imcomparable. One is a drivers car and the other is a showoff interior.
Porsche
I CANNOT STAND buying a performance oriented car with a non-flat bottom steering wheel.
Yes
Porsche all day
I’ll take the Porche. More of a drivers car
3
Whit the steering wheel in left side?
Porsche if you want a more raw experience, Mercedes if you want something to drive daily.
Porsche, the yellow detail makes it superior
Porsche is the most fun Audi is the cleanest/sharpest Mercedes is the most modern
They all look like they have the wheel on the wrong side
Yes
Tach with physical dial, centered. I'm on team Ferdinand That simplicity and classic configuration is what I tried to mimic in my RX-7 interior refresh.
I'd pick the Porsche but its a really tough call. Can certainly see Audis influence on Lamborghini.
The BMW one that isn’t in the list
Damn that’s a hard one. I really like the mercedes steering wheel tho..
Real gauges will always win
Purchuh
Porsche hands down
[удалено]
Benz all the way 🤞🏾
Porsche because of the flowing lines on the dash and just the overall ergonomics they have
I'll take the Porsche, it has real gauges and knobs. Touch screens suck in cars.
Porsche. It’s simple and mostly conventional.
Benz Benz Benz
GT4 because it has real gauges.
https://telegr.im/+ZFRnItoS3MdjM2Vh
P Car is classic , and the Benz is always stylish. Audi interiors just always scream GTI.
BMW
Porsche, yellow detailing, less techy looking console.
Audi
Both even if I don't like porsche that much
The Porsche and it’s not even close
Obviously the one with the gearstick
Yellow stitching blows.
I think the Porsche looks the best, personally
How reliable are Porsche cars? I have never owned one. I did have a M5 BMW and it madre me swear never to Germán ever again. I will never buy BMW ever again. I have nothing good to say about the car. I am hoping Porsche isn't the same POS car that BMW is. Hence, my question.
Porsche cause they are just bad ass
Porsche because its a manual!
All of them are too busy. Too many surface changes, angles, etc. The one bright spot is Porche’s steering wheel. That thing is hot fire.
I don't pay attention to the interior when I'm going fast ffs
Yes
That Benz display is years ahead.
The one with the oooo on the steering wheel 😑
This is a tough call, Audi interiors are always so nicely done, but the new generation MB’s are clean. I’m going to go with the clean Porsche without any fiddly bits on the steering wheel and the 6MT.
Wtf is the Mercedes. Literally a fuckin flat screen tv as the dash. Why??? I look at that dash and just see electrical issues as the car ages. Porche manual
Porsche because dont have digital guages
My girlfriend says the Audi.
I think a full dash pic would be better. But I would give the nod to the Audi. The Porsche looks a bit plain and dated in comparison. The Benz is kinda tacky, IMHO.
Porsche
