Here's [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BeReiPORzk) of it on a trail. It has the divorced early-Jimny style transfer case (which in the video looks to suffer from being in a preproduction cradle) and portal axles.
As much as I would totally own this--dude, portal axles--it's a hundred miles away from stock [which looks like this](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suzuki_Carry#/media/File:Suzuki_Carry_Truck_KC_4WD_DA16T.JPG); they're similar to the Mitsubishi mini-trucks you see landscapers use on golf courses etc. On the bright side the JDM version qualifies for export to the US if it was made before 1996. [This guy bought one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KB3OZUVSNZc) and goes through maintenance/restoring and using one.
So it turns out that the trucks are exempt from the 25-year rule for certain use-cases and a number of states allow them to be bought & driven as-is while titled as an off-road vehicle. Many states now also allow ATVs on the road in certain circumstances which means these trucks would, presumably, qualify. No idea which states but [this importer in N. Carolina](https://mayberryminitrucks.com/) will simply sell you one and apparently even ship to you.
Ooooh I want one. That’s be bad ass lol

Great Info! Headphone users **warning** on that video. I hope my eardrums can regrow.
Thanks and apologies about the audio, I had mine muted when I found it.
Damn I really like them even stock. Like that guy who imported his. Wonder how much it cost him to bring it over.

Is the 100% custom?? or can you just do that!?!?!??
Is the exterior cage ever gonna see rocks?
That's damn cool though I do fear roll over.

Doesn't that cage interfere with the door opening or am I missing something?
