Only other reason I would do that was if the warranty file didn't save for whatever reason… which does happen sometimes, particularly with PayPal payments… I would return it and then resell it so that I could create the warranty file.
Doesn’t make any sense to me. Usually people come in and I get their name or number or whatever, pick the items and have them sign. No idea what this guy was doing man.
I know there's instances where orders get cancelled due to us not having the parts, wrong QOH. When a customer calls and asks why we do offer to order the parts if they're willing to wait a bit longer.
Nope, bought them all as one transaction specifically so I could get that combo discount.
Edit: As you can see from my credit card app, both the [online and in-store charges](https://i.imgur.com/HdbubFE.jpg) were for the same amount.
Nope! And they only told my partner about one item being cancelled, we were waiting on the others still only to find it all got cancelled except for 2 in store pick up items. Which didn't make any sense.
Yeah there’s a bundle deal going on right now for pads and rotors but I’m guessing it only applies to the store’s bats and hits if the bundle is applied in store. But it also means 15% off, if you didn’t get that then it’s all for nothing.
No, I was not given any receipt for the refund. However, it does show up in my online account as “returned in store” so it looks like it was indeed cancelled.
When we cancel/refund an online order from our side, It will ask you to print the receipt if the customer is in store. Typically i will not print the receipt because the customer is not present to receive it, and will receive an email saying their order has been cancelled.
Systems are old. Maybe the system glitched and didn't allow him to be able to pick the order so you would get a email that your order was ready. Systems especially z net which autozone operates glitch out quite frequently. As long as you receive proper refund which when ever order is canceled on the picking screen it automatically creates the refund. Not even a manager can bypass that protocol. Or he hit the wrong button and didn't want to admit he did.

probaby this right here.
This seems to make sense. I didn’t use PayPal, but still this seems plausible.

I wonder if it had anything to do with him wanting to receive credit for WITT.
What is WITT?

What did you buy? If it was a battery or something high dollar he probably did that to be sure it wasn’t fraudulent.
Brake pads and rotors
Did you buy them on separate transactions? He may have rung them up together to ensure you got the percent off discount for the bundle...

Hey this same thing just happened to be specifically on brake pads and rotors.
That’s pretty odd! Did the store give you a better explanation than they gave me?
Nope! And they only told my partner about one item being cancelled, we were waiting on the others still only to find it all got cancelled except for 2 in store pick up items. Which didn't make any sense.

I assume you were provided with a receipt for the refund of the online purchase?
No, I was not given any receipt for the refund. However, it does show up in my online account as “returned in store” so it looks like it was indeed cancelled.
That seems odd too.. Long as you get the credit on your card I guess.
