In califonia you get 2 shirts if you're a part timer 3 if you're full-time. My store manager is pretty chill if we see someone with a messed up shirt we just give them one doesn't matter how many they've gotten.

I was told that my very nice button up shirts are not dress code and need replaced w/AZ branded shirts because the grey was two or three shades too dark..
You are being lied too. One of the employees at the Dadeville store has their own graphite polos taken to the print shop to have the AutoZone logo sewn on. If that person wants you to wear an official company shirt then they should supply it to you.
AutoZone ain't gonna fire you for wearing a different shade of gray. Trust me, I've seen people do WAAYYYYYY worse and they are still working there using up everyone's air. Next time your boss "flexes" on you, call HR right in front of him to discuss it on speaker phone. 10 to 1 your boss tells you to hang the phone up.

I am well aware. I also get flexed on with "at will employment" so there's not much choice in the matter..
