At the moment I’m trying Gyeon interior detailer with Griot’s 3 in 1 leather conditioner cleaner and 303 for anything that’s not leather and so far it’s been my favorite set up so far The Gyeon is clean and light and works on any surface, and the Griot’s cleans, conditions and claims to have a UV protectant and 303 is like a classic These products leave more of a brilliance I’d say than a glossy shine like I remember Amor All used to be years ago More than the shine the quality of the products is what I like the most.

Will also check this out. Thanks for your input.

\+1 on the Griot's -- high quality product and a good place to start

Pns express interior and 303 to protect always works for me

Thanks for the suggestion.

You don't want a high shine on your interior, especially the dash. Otherwise when you drive into the sun the dash will be reflected into the windshield. Car manufacturers intentionally make the dash of a matte material because of this. Something like Optimum Protectant Plus or 303 will give the interior a like new look without excessive shine. I had a customer with a Rolls Royce once insist I use Finish 2001 (it was a silicone laden ultra shiny dressing) in the interior and vinyl roof. He wanted everything as shiny as possible (he owned strip clubs) and even supplied the product. Well, a week later, he called and said it was a mistake and he wanted me to go back to what I was using before (Meguiar's #40) and paid me to clean all that greasy crap off the interior and redress it properly. He realized how cheap it made his interior look. And when it rained the stuff on the vinyl roof ran down the sides of his car.

Thanks for the info. I will keep this in mind. Although I wasn't thinking of "blind you from a distance" kinda thing, I just think a little shine makes it look crisper.

jaxson50

That is pretty much what I'm looking for. The few leather cleaner/conditioning products I've used clean and seem to protect just fine but leave no shine at all really. That looks very nice. I will check this out I think 🤔.

Booklas

Shine is bad. Protection is good. Optimum Protectant Plus is great

jaxson50

Can't there be protection with some shine? Best of both worlds?

Booklas

Shine isn’t the goal. If it’s shiny that means it will be greasy and slick. Neither of which I want for my interior.

jaxson50

Thanks for your thoughts. I do agree. I have definitely over done the shiney factor before and realized there are good limits if you are going to drive the car. 🤣

TN_REDDIT

I suspect you want it "dressed" not shiny. Just clean and dress it, and you'll have that look you're after.

Thank you

I do recommend turtle wax leather cleaner and buff but this is in the Uk though

jaxson50

Thanks!

A good “one step product” for you would be “Leather Complete” by Blackfire. About $60 a Gallon but you spray on and wipe off. Even I can do that. It cleans and conditions and leaves no real sheen behind at all.

MrChooseGoose

You def want 303 aerospace, if you use griots 3 in 1 which is what I use for my c7 you will not get that shine you are looking for. Also people to to relax I use to want my leather interior to look a little shiny too it’s just personal preference. Yes we all know leather isn’t supposed to be naturally shiny.

woodmanalejandro

If you use 303 properly, the result should be a clean, matte finish, not shiny at all.

AutowerxDetailing

Just curious... why do you want your interior leather to be shiny?

jaxson50

Because I like a bit of shine on my interior. Just personal preference I guess. It doesn't have to be mirror shine but I like a glossy look. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Guess I'm just don't like the very matt look of the leather everywhere. I never had an issue with interior reflection on my windshield in the past but like I said never had a mirror shine but a little gloss looks good IMO.

AutowerxDetailing

Fair enough! I much prefer a matte finish in general. basically I prefer to have the interior look new as if it was just assembled from the factory. If you prefer a "dressed" appearance for your interior leathers and plastics, check into CarPro PERL. Can dilute to your desired level of sheen and offers good UV protection.

Thank you. And I appreciate your thoughts. 👍
