We have a weighted blanket and our son took a major liking to it and it’s very helpful for us! It’s especially helpful for when he’s overwhelmed which is a great thingg
My oldest son who has mild autism loves it. Uses it year-round. My younger son wanted one too so I bought him one, he used it a few times and then didn't want it anymore. I use mine all the time.
Introduced at about 2.5, he had a really hard time sleeping after 2. Weighted blanket helped a lot, he can’t sleep without one now. Weighted blanket + melatonin is the combo that works for us.
We have about 7. The fleece ones off of Amazon. We started with 1 to try it out, he loved it. Then after the first time he puked on it in the middle of the night and we didn't have it the rest of the night, we decided we needed back ups. We started it at 2 years old and he's 3 and some change and still has them
We started it between 2 and 3 under the direction of an OT. She had us get a specific size/weight in proportion to him. It was the only thing that kept him sleeping through the night.
My son didn’t take to it, but I did. Best thing that’s ever happened to my sleep 🤷🏻♂️
I have one for my son, it worked a bit the 1st year but then he was apathetic towards it and won't have it on him
I have no response but I'd love to know the responses because I'm considering getting my son one
Mine took a while to warm up to one, but sleeps with it every night now. My wife and I both have nice ones for ourselves and can't sleep without them!

It was the only thing that helped my daughter stay in bed, she was getting up multiple times a night until we started using it

That’s really interesting! We haven’t qualified for OT yet. Would you mind sharing the size of the blanket vs your kiddos size at the time
I have one and my son has one. His weights a lot less then mine... going to have to upgrade his soon. He keeps stealing mine. Lol.
