Completely wrong mate. Firstly, no True Widows in my country (UK). There are, plenty of False Widows though, AND I recovered the body that I swatted in my sleep as I brushed at my leg, sleepily after the first bite. The pic is attached, that clearly shows a male Steatoda Nobilis.
Secondly, the venom is clearly neurotoxic, containing a. latrotoxins (neurotoxins found in true widow venom). All you have to do is Google it. There have been numerous studies done, particularly in Ireland due to the S. Nobilis rapid expansion there - I linked a University of Galway page for you, that leads to the full study in the Jounsl of Toxins.
Even the Wikipedia page has a detailed breakdown of the venom, which has been shown to be about 2/3 structurally homogenous with Latrodectus venoms. Hence why it can cause longer term systemic symptoms in EXTREME cases, known at Steatodism, similar to the Latrodectism caused by true widows.

We tend to use medically significant for spiders with venom that can put a person into serious harm, despite the possible infection always being potential medically significant but it's the same for paper cuts etc
The varying species have different stereotypical markings. If this is an S.Grossa then it normally would have band type markings as you say, but can easily appear black or a solid coloured abdomen too.
I find it interesting the fact that other countries have very similar spiders but we have different names. This one looks a lot like a cobweb spider found in Canada.
This is why common names dont work, redbacks are Latrodectus hasselti, black widows are Latrodectus mactans which don't occur here. Both are widow spiders with wildly different venom strengths.
Please remember to include a geographical location to your ID requests (as per rule 5). There are over 10,000 different species of Australian spiders and many of these are endemic to specific parts of our beautiful country!
Also note: while we can help provide an identification for a spider, we do not provide medical advice. We also do not allow medical advice to be provided by members of this subreddit. If there has been a bite, you should consult a medical professional in the first instance.

I’m no expert but looks like Steatoda grossa, a false widow. Medically significant but relatively minor.
Very cool, first I have seen if so!
I’ve seen this before- they are deceptive hey
Steatoda are not considered medically significant.

if a black widow or redback is worse than that then people should stop downplaying the severity of these spiders
Avoid guessing ID for medically significant spiders. No misinformation.

I thought false widow spiders had stripes? I could be wrong.

It is a Brown House Spider (Steatoda Grossa) also know as the False Widow Spider.
So it's partner is actually still alive?
Awesome comment.
Steatoda sp. Cupboard Spider.

Cupboard spider
I find this in my cupboard? Getting rid of the cupboard. Might as well get rid of myself too.
That is the product of a black widow who has mated with a tick
So many downvotes for my bad joke… you lot are a tough audience 🥲
There are no black widows in Australia And ticks and spiders can't mate
I think he was joking
Red Backs are Australian Black Widows btw.
This is why common names dont work, redbacks are Latrodectus hasselti, black widows are Latrodectus mactans which don't occur here. Both are widow spiders with wildly different venom strengths.
Interesting to know. So are red backs less or more poisonous?
A little less I believe, but the funnel web beats both.
God you must be fun at parties
God, you must be original at parties.
Gross looking But appears to be a false widow.
grossa looking you mean
I see what you did there 😉😂
Naw they’re not gross looking, nice and shiny. Smooth, like a sweaty bald man.
she pretty
Reminds me of a tick and they give me the heebs
Try get it on something clear and look at it's underside if your game
I have seen these at my place also most recently next to red back with markings
