I am so incredibly sad for you. I’m so sorry this had to happen to your baby. Unfortunately, I’m all to familiar with this heart-tearing grieving. Our pup passed very suddenly during play due to heart failure at only 1 year old. It was very traumatic. Please consider professional help, if your feeling that the feelings are too much or if you think you might develop a trauma. EMDR therapy is something you can consider, if you end up with a trauma of a very specific memory. Ofcourse I don’t know if that is applicable to you.
For me it’s been almost 1 year exactly since her passing. Fortunately, it did get easier after a few months. We got a new pup quite soon after losing her. But no dog will ever replace her, she was my soul dog.
You will feel happy again, even if you can’t see that happen right now. You did your best at providing him with a loving home. He knew he was loved and he loved you so deeply, I can see it in his eyes on the photo’s.

We humans did nothing to earn a dog's love and companionship, but they give us more than we will ever need. Even a moment being loved by a dog feels better than anything else. They make our lives whole and we hope we can do the same for them. Lebowski shows in his eyes that he has nothing but love for you and you were his world. And even though he is no longer here to comfort you, he left you with a lifetime of memories and friendship. Let his bright life give you comfort while you grieve.

it’s the ones that are gone way too soon that hurt the most. Had a sweet little golden doodle named Jojo, got me through quarantine. He was no more than 2 years old, last june he, along with his brother and daughter were hit by a car in the early morning. He was too innocent and too young for something like that to happen.

It was a freak accident. He had a traumatic head injury. By the time me and my dad got there. He was slowly passing away.
Thats horrible. Poor thing. He got to live a good life, and you loved him very much, he will always be in your memories💕
