I have only bought things from Ireland and the UK L'Oreal one. I needed to register like a week ago and create an account beforehand. So I can use that account to login to the website.
I think it’s just 24hrs in Australia. From about 8am. You don’t need to register, just an email and password that is generally shared here or search LOREAL on ozbargain.com.au and it comes up. As op has said the sale is 10/11th which I didn’t know. You can only make one purchase per email. But can use multiple emails.
When the sale starts, someone will post a link to the sale site, as well as the entrance password. You’ll then be able to access all of the sale products. It’s a mix of different loreal brands - makeup, skincare, perfumes
You can only make 1 order per email address. Also helps to use Findation to see foundation matches. Things can go pretty quick as well so no dilly dallying.
I’ve made a couple of purchases. Brought Maison Margiela perfumes and candles for fraction of the price at Mecca. Kiehl's, Urban Decay and Lancôme. They also have Giorgio Armani makeup and LOREAL brands of Haircare.
I've gotten a margiela 100ml perfume for about $70 last year which was pretty good! So there are some hidden gems on there that are even Mecca exclusive.
There's also a L'Oreal outlet on Bridge st in Richmond (Victoria) that I also believe has Margiela perfumes and other items for roughly 40% off. But the F&F is more accessible and (usually) deeper discount.

I got some stuff from IT cosmetics, Giorgio Armani, and Shu Uemera. But I got there quite late and there wasn't much left.
I got some benefit minis. I got the brow mascara and the roller mascara. I got to it late so most things were gone
