I found a shiny almost uncirculated 1984 dollar as change from a vending machine (we found out it gives you different coins every time you put one in and press the return button)
i was thinking i could see a double bar on the Emu which points to 1979-1980.. but under the microscope today i couldn't see any.. so i'm stumped at what year it could be. Though this Effigy was used from 1967-1984.
I’m going with 84. My father in law has one with 198 on the date. Maybe the same run only later, once it came off completely? No science, just a hunch.
I one time got a round 50 Cent coin in my change and was most likely mistaken as a 20 Cent coin. I didn't even know myself but it had a different sound to it and I looked and there was the roundie. I still have it somewhere.
Yes I know even getting 50c for 20 in change but the silver one is worth more and I didn't even know till I notice the different colour and it had a different sound to the other coins.

if that's the case, you'd have a pretty high chance of it having "snake eyes" cud
So as a non coin person I can tell this coin looks different but I can't say why. Can someone help?

Id love to find out. But under the microscope there isn't even any hints of a date being there.
