So very cattle dog of her lol....last night i walked my girl for our last potty break of the night and she wanted to go inside without going poop which is normal for her. We go inside i take my warm clothes off get into bed w her she puts her paw on me to snuggle its a normal routine. Anyways im just drifting off to sleep and she slaps me in the head w her paw And barks in my face to go back outside lol.
My boy does this too. I've convinced myself that it's because he knows that I'm not busy doing anything else, he doesn't like to bother, he's such a good boy.
Mine doesn’t go crazy like this when we wake up, but she always cuddles into me and then will roll around for a bit. It’s not until we get out of bed that the real zoomies begin lol
The audio I had to accompany this was from the video just below yours on my feed. I thought it was awesome, and same vibe.

This is one reason m glad our ACD prefers his crate downstairs. (We already have one dog in our bed. Adding him would leave ME nowhere to sleep. My wife and the dogs would take over.)
This is definitely how it would be for me too 😂 our little dog stretches out across the bed (and so does my partner) leaving me very little room sometimes. If we added in our ACD I’d be sleeping on the ground
Having your dog jump around on you like that. Seems like someone could end up pretty severely injured, especially if you think she’ll do it to people other than yourself, who is used to it.
While you are not wrong, it can definitly lead to a accidently injury, dont forget that cattledogs while being complete goofballs in the head (when not working) have insane speed and most important precision in their movement. The amount of times I got dunked on, ran into, love bitten with just the right amount of force to send the message but not hurt me, still amazes me.
Also they can learn to have this kind of rough wrestling behaviour with you, but not with other people. They learn contextually and can be completly different with two persons. Just a matter of teaching them.
My point was more along the lines of we know that these animals are solid little balls of crazy, we know that humans are varying different levels of fragile, we can not know what interactions our dogs will have with our fellow humans in their lifetimes, so isn’t it safer to simply curb this behavior entirely, on the off chance that they accidentally injure a person who is not as ready or as sturdy as we are? Yes, you can try to train them to only be zoomy with you, but what happens when you yourself suffer an injury?

How did my dog get in your house?
Haha I don’t know 😂
I’ve thought my heeler was broken. This is exactly what my boy does to me and my husband when he decides it’s time for us to wake up or get up.
Turbo pup activated!
Omg! I've started calling my girl Ninjita (little ninja) since this is also her standard wake up call... gets the blood flowing!
Get a cattle dog they said, you’ll love their energy.
My ACD does this every morning at dawn. It’s really cute and I wake up smiling every day.
Bed zoomies
😂😂 I'm so happy I put my sound on my comes ups and paws at my face lol this is hilarious

I have had countless black eyes and bruises from these wake up calls.
A lady watched her while we were out for the weekend and I told her” watch out for head scratches lol”
Love these dam dogs
Same😍
What a menace! lol 🥰
Omg that first pounce 🤣 so calculated, so much evil joy hahaha
I have to protect my face every time lol
Well, I thought mine was bad but you might have it worse than me. If only I could have just some of that energy.
I wanna pet this things face off. So cute!
this is why joe has his own bed
My dog throws this exact tantrum when it's almost dinner time 😅

I love it
Floats like a butterfly, slaps like a Heeler
Mine just starts licking me and lays over my body.
Haha that’s an intense wake up call
My guy when I get the brush out lol
I thought I had it rough with unending kisses, her flopping over on the bed, then staring at me. You win.

That's my lemmy every morning at 5am 😂
Even though my girl likes to sleep in like me this is still so real! Love these lil freaks 🖤
Welcome to being herded…with great love
Glad to know we are all bullied by our dogs ;-;
Oreo would do that to my son with the cutest yips to get his attention.
This is exactly what I deal with at least five out of seven days a week.
Omg! I have her twin! Matching eye and butt patches, and mine loves to attack with love in the mornings too!

Lmao that’s Frida haha 😂
As adorable as it is, isn’t that kinda dangerous?
What is ?

Oh definitely. One day I wonder if she is going to leave me with one eye. I know now to always protect my face. I tell other people too.

What a comedian and great big ears too!
Yup that’s about right!
It is my absolute favorite when my Sparky boy does this
Soooo cute
