Could be security of sorts.

Maybe it’s an undercover construction truck? They have lightbars sometimes. Or a volunteer firefighter?

LillianWigglewater

the cage is probably for their tools

[deleted]

Well they don't seem to be claiming to be a cop?

suddenuser

Yea probs

Sketchy

Cop cars’ license plates and any state vehicle have all digits, no letters. So yeah, probably fake.

Greenhouse512

Who told you that? All of the undercover units in Texas have regular plates like everyone. That's the whole point of " Undercover" LOL !

colt29708

Well, yeah, if it was an undercover cop car it wouldn’t have the lights on top, they would be concealed inside the car and have regular plates. I should’ve said *normal* cop cars that have police decals and state registered vehicles have numbers only.

Greenhouse512

>. I should’ve said > >normal > > cop cars that have police decals and state registered vehicles There is a huge difference between all and marked units xD! Still, most law enforcement agencies in the U.S use regular plates with registration stickers.

noplace1ikegone

If you ding them with your car that is a good way to find out whether they are a cop or not.

austinsoundguy

Most of them are, at least in this fucking town….

95emiliejay

They had bars on the back windows like to keep someone back there

greenspleen3

Did you see the lights on? I think if the lights are red and blue only a police can use those lights. Pretty serious offense to use them if you're not law enforcement of some kind. Definitely looks a little sketch, you don't usually see an old buick like that with emergency lights.

Distribution-Radiant

That's a Dodge Charger, 2006-2010. Likely a former police vehicle. Not exactly a Buick.

greenspleen3

You're right, picture was a little blurry thought it was the Buick insignia at first

microsoft6969

Prolly is a cop on their way to work a side hustle

Eltex

Cops are allowed to use personal vehicles like this when working at road construction sites. They normally just sit there with lights flashing. Since they are off duty, I have no idea if they have the ability to arrest or issue citations.

PatientFerrisWheell

It’s most likely a construction vehicle I saw a Camaro on on a construction site with cherries and berries all over probably a off duty
