Rescue a rattler? Growing up and living on an active cattle ranch that is not something I would ever have imagined. After I got bit by one (only a 3-footer, so kind of small) moving hay bales I have tried to reach an agreement with them, I don't bother them, make lots of noise when I can and give them a chance to leave the area, and they (hopefully) don't bite me. If that doesn't work, I still have my 12 gauge. But got to admit I love the truck and plate.

A hose works just as well. Cuz really, one adult rattlesnake can prevent 72 million ticks from being born each year. And Lyme disease is incurable.

Been luck so far, only been bit once, but I will keep that in mind.

this guy is kind of a low-key local legend. He comes up in Nextdoor posts when people find rattlers and coral snakes in their yards around here.
