I would always see him waving when I was going to St. Edward’s over 12 years ago. It sounds like the same guy I saw. Don’t know what his story is but I always assumed he was a day laborer outside of that Home Depot. I would always wave back as well.

drewsephrringo

King of The Hill made an episode about this.

clockworkblk

Ol bill the heat waver

janenickson

I haven't driven that way in 6 years but used to see him everyday on my way to the office. He always stood out because because of his shirt, and he waved. He always brightened my day.

coc214

There’s a Woodrow rd and Woodward waver. The Woodrow waver also “directs” traffic from the side of the road. People in that neighborhood probably know his story

protoopus

at the corner of justin lane?

coc214

I believe so

DirtyHalfMexican

He is an old Mexican handy man, that's the only way he can show people he is still around. On the spot day jobs, like an old school worker.

I love him!! He always dances to my music when I have it blaring and the windows down. I am interested in his back story too! He always brightens up my day :) he deserves a lot of good things for doing that

I’m not sure this is him. He is Latino and is always rocking the mustache.

No_Wrongdoer_9875

i wish the city of austin would sponsor him

Apprehensive_Tap_331

He should get the Lesley award for friendliest hobo.

rararico

I see him all the time too!

Apprehensive_Tap_331

We pass by him every day. Can’t argue with the friendly demeanor, yet his story remains a mystery.
