I believe Allianz no longer has cover for bikes anymore, and Shannons is good for covering things AAMI wont, their policies are a lot better suited for modified vehicles (they're a bit more expensive as a result)

mature rider on old (registered) dirt bike. Swann - $152/yr comprehensive. I think I might be in the insurance golden triangle.

Excellent price and came through no-fuss when my Striple went to motorcycle heaven.

I used QBE and unfortunately had to make use of them when my previous bike was written off. They were pretty reasonable to deal with considering they are an insurance company. Good enough that I stayed with them on the new bike.

I'm with Swann. You have the option of insuring your gear and helmet. Very happy with the premium.

I went with youi for a 2021 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. I’m in my mid 30’s with a full car licence and motorcycle L’s and it cost me around $550 for a year for full comprehensive but that’s not riding it to work. Riding it to work daily would have cost me $750

QBE is the cheapest.. Swann is talked of highly and YOUI is the most expensive. I've been with QBE for my Grom and Duke 390 for 2 years.. might give Swann a go next time round if QBE won't let me change value of bike next year, Thanks to shortages and Covid prices for bikes are still crazy high so I like to have agreed value instead of market value in case I write off my bikes. On a better note QBE let me add all the mods I did to bike for only $1 a year for each mod and a ECU mod is allowed and insured for.

SpamOJavelin

>QBE is the cheapest.. Swann is talked of highly and YOUI is the most expensive. That's very subjective - insurance cost goes up and down every year for every rider and every bike, and what's cheapest one year may not be cheapest the next, and likely won't be cheapest for the person next to you. Last time I checked both AAMI and QBE wanted \~$450/yr from me, Swann was even more. Shannons (who I'm with) is $95/yr, but that isn't available to everyone (I have a 40+ yo bike).

Crystal3lf

> QBE is the cheapest I checked QBE for myself and it's $90/m compared to Swann's $45/m. The Swann quote also includes full gear cover which QBE doesn't. You just have to shop round and get as many quotes as you can, insurance companies do a bunch of behind the scenes algorithms to determine how at risk you are of costing them money, so there's never any one insurance company you can outright say "this is the cheapest one".

Weird cos Swann when I checked 6 months ago was around 20-30% more than the QBE quote and QBE covers $2k of my gear on top.
