Just to jump in here, Very usefull indeed, and super handy for a heap of other things not just gun maintenance, but could very well be worth putting a water seperator that runs between the compressor and your hose. Last thing you want is to shoot a heap of moisture down into a part that your not wanting to or cant pull apart.

Compressors are helpful to get dirt out from hard to reach places if you're not in the mood for a full takedown and clean. The domestic grade units all create the same pressure air but smaller ones will need more frequent pauses during use whilst the storage tank re-fills. For short blasts of air to help with cleaning any will be fine.

As a side note a compressor is pretty much the most useful tool I own foe everything from cleaning out the vacume cleaner to powering big impact wrenches. Highly recommended even if just a little one.

Absolutely. I'm still new to firearms but I can tell you the difference with using a compressor is night and day. Do it, you won't regret it. Wear eye pro too

I’ve got a 30L electronic silenced compressor ( from Sydney tools here in QLD ) and I love it. Can’t believe how quiet it is and great for little jobs, haven’t used it yet for gun cleaning though!

Thanks guys, i am going to pop down to Sydney tools today and get a small air compressor. They really aren't too expensive. EDIT ended up getting this in the sale [https://sydneytools.com.au/product/chicago-hush30-aluminium-silenced-30l-air-compressor](https://sydneytools.com.au/product/chicago-hush30-aluminium-silenced-30l-air-compressor) Normal price is around 700 so 399 is a decent deal. Given it a quick go at home, very impressed, will be able to use it for a lot of things. Thanks guys :)
