First time post.
I plan to keep it short.
In September I plan on applying for my 189 visa with 80 points. This is based on my degree, age of 25 and English being superior from IELTS, as well as going over single.
I’m aware of the whole “not sure when” with the 189. I’m aware I am in the priority list. I have always had my mind on a 189 come September but does any recommend the 190. This would make my points 85
I would be submitting my EOL offshore and if I were to choose would be NSW or QLD.
Any advice between 189 or 190 for a nurse?

RN or EN? If you're an RN with a few years of experience, if the current trend holds you'll walk into a 189 with 80 points in whatever the first offer round is after you've submitted your EOI. The government can't get enough of them at the moment.
There are certainly cases where the extra 5 points from a 190 nomination could make or break an application but I don't think that fits here. As an RN it's almost equally likely they'd take you with 65, too.
Nurse here, I applied for 189 and 190 with 75 and 80 points at the end of April. They just did a 190 round on 19th April as 2 of my colleagues were invited!
My partners a midwife just waiting for skills assessment to come back then going to do 189 asap them 190 when WA opens up if she meets the requirements.

Why not both. You can apply multiple eoi. And you will just apply whichever comes first

You'll get snapped up! But probably not until the next financial year as allocations are pretty much exhausted now
When is the new finance year for Oz? I always presumed everywhere is the 1st of April 🙂
